Eaten here a couple times now, both visits were very good. The service was very friendly when we went and it was fairly quick. Food was very good, drinks were very good. Atmosphere was kind of cheesy, but that’s kind of why people go here. This biggest problem with this place is that it’s expensive for what it is. We always leave with leftovers so we don’t feel like it’s that bad, but I think the cost leaves a bad impression with people.

Not impressed for my first time ever to Bucas even though I only have heard good things from my friends. For $ 9.99 you only get one piece of lemon chicken and 9 ½ pieces of potato as a lunch portion. Then to be charged 2.99 for a soda with no refills. Service by Matthew was okay but not bad. For a total of $ 13.77 plus tip, I could of gone to Culver’s 2 – 3 times.

Pros: solid food especially for hearty eaters, great for groups, lots of fun kitschy décor. We gave this place another try and sat down for a meal. We were in a room with two very loud parties, so it was pretty impossible to hear until they left. Does look like a fun place for a kid’s birthday party. We were given bread eventually, but it was strangely cold, like it had been thawed recently and never heated up. A few minutes in a warm oven would go a long way. Buca overall is not a health-conscious place, nor is it particularly vegetarian friendly, but that is more a review of Buca corporate than this location. For a table of 6, we ordered a large mixed greens salad, a large baked ziti, and a small spicy chicken rigatoni. The mixed greens salad was mostly iceberg lettuce, a disappointment for the cost, and frankly too small for the hefty price tag. The pasta dishes portions were much more generous, but were lacking in sauce. Overall the flavor was good but could have been pumped up a notch. We did not experience good service, but it did improve once the big group left.

We experienced exceptional customer service and equally as good food. We requested the kitchen table because we thought our young daughters would get a kick out of it. They did! Part of the reason was because the staff was great with making it a fun experience! Entire staff was fun!

Do yourself a favor and go to Ann’s in Hales Corners or That’s Amore in Hales Cornets. Waited a long time for a table at 430 on a Sunday evening. Paid a lot of money and walked out hungry. Everything is alacart. No bread, no salad, no pasta. Wont be going back.

When they say that the«small» feeds 2 – 3, they definitely are not kidding. Hopefully one’s eyes are not bigger than their stomachs. Shared the bruchetta stuffed chicken(it’s basically Italian chicken cordon bleu). It was delicious but the pieces that came on the plate were a little smaller than I envisioned. Shared the Italian crème cake for dessert. It was also awesome. Definitely full of flavor surprises. Will most likely come back here in the future

If I could give«zero» stars I would! Went here for dinner on a Monday night, nobody at the host/hostess stand, someone came along after about 5 minutes standing there. We were seated and an inept waiter took our drink order, I asked if the bartender could make a lemon drop martini– he said he would check. Drinks were delivered to the table and I received lemonade with a whiff of vodka served in a martini glass. I asked the waiter what was in this lemon drop martini and he informed me that my guess was correct. Furthermore he informed me that he made the cocktail! Well here in Wisconsin I’m pretty sure you need a licensed bartender to make drinks, not just a waiter helping themselves to the bar. On to dinner– we ordered a salad and appetizer, came out after a lengthy time. They were ok. Waited almost another hour and the on duty manager comes over and informs us they«ran out» of one of the entrees we ordered… After inquiring, the pasta side dish and other side dish were done but we needed to order another entrée– unless entrees are created instantly, both side dishes would have been sitting under the hot lamp until we chose and they made an entrée that was«in stock». The manager brought out the two side dishes before taking our order for a new entrée– it was at that point I expressed how dissatisfied we were with there whole operation and informed her we would be leaving. This location of Buca DiBeppo is horrific not only on this visit but a previous visit about 10 months ago as well. The franchise should be revoked from this owner by the corporation due to the extremely poor operation of this location– it will ensure a bad reputation for the Buca’s name and brand. DONOTVISIT this location, unless you’re into masochism! The good money you spend here could be better spent at a family owned Italian restaurant.

With reservation We have been to this location numerous times and our most recent visit was a total disappointment. It started by asking about one of the specials I had heard about in email, the server was unaware of the turkey bolognese dish. We then received our wine and the pours were very lacking. We ordered our entrees and it took a bit of time for them to come out. We had asked for baked ziti without ricotta and that was made incorrectly. The turkey bolognese had very overcooked noodles and the sauce lacked overall flavor. By the time we got the replacement ziti(which sure seemed to have ricotta under the moz too!) we were done with the pasta. We had hoped to save the evening with an order of tiramisu, which was provided complimentary, but even that came out slowly and wrong. The layer of cookies was very hard — they never got dipped into coffee and the overall«height» didn’t match what we got in the past(see my pic). We were visited by the manager and the location partner, and they did comp us on the ziti too. We ended up going home very disappointed with a bunch of bad leftovers to remind us of a failed date night.

95% of restaurants who say«this meal is enough for 2» usually refer to 2 people who eat 5 bites and then are full. That is not the case here, big enough for 2 means big enough for both of you to eat your heart out and have left overs for another 2 person meal and the price isn’t horrible either. The walls are a little too covered with«Italian history» for my taste though. Other than that, I don’t have any negatives and could see myself returning here in the future.

I have been to Buca’s a few times for lunch. I have never been for dinner so I can only review what lunch is like and it’s terrible. When you first come in, you are lucky if you can track down an employee to even seat you. They do not have someone standing at the front to seat you nor at the bar. I have also been seated before and have heard customers walk in and say«hello» repeatedly, looking for someone to seat them. After a minute, you just walk around the restaurant hoping to find someone. Then when you do get seated, it can take them awhile to take your order and get your bread. Which BTW, if you do go for lunch, DONOT order garlic bread or garlic bread with cheese. Essentially you are then paying $ 4 or more for them to make the FREE bread into garlic or cheese bread. I did not know this and ordered it once and we did not get the free bread. I think even if you order garlic or cheese bread, you should be asked if you want the free bread too. Personally I will take the FREE stuff over paying $ 4 plus to add garlic and butter and cheese to the stuff. It takes forever to get your lunch too. I have been the only party in the place and it takes just as long as when there are more tables filled. So if you are going there for lunch while at work, make sure you have an hour and a half lunch. It WILL take that long. The food isn’t bad. I have tried a few things and have liked them all. I just think that the service could be better. Everyone has been friendly, don’t get me wrong. BUT it shouldn’t take THAT long to get your food or to be seated. So maybe they just need to hire more people or something. Whatever the case, I am not sure I would go there again for lunch. I don’t have an hour and half to waste for mediocre food and service.

Another great Christmas meal, catered by Bucas. We has the penne pasta in vodka sauce, 3 cheese ravioli, and ordered a side of mild Italians with roasted pepper and of course chocolate chip Cannoli. All catering comes with salad, dressing, Italian bread and they supply all the plates and condiments. Don’t let the price scare you off the amount of food you get is phenomenal. Plus it’s Italian and really fills you up. We had 7 people eat, and take plates home and more for at least 10 more meals today. Small glitch in our carry out menu, which manager Matthew made right(and then some) immediately

Just ordered some food from buca and I feel we got ripped off over $ 100 in food and it only is feeding 6 people. There is something defiantly wrong on the portion sizing. The lemon chicken is a serious joke I could have gone to pick n save and bought more to feed my family on this festive day. Sad is all I can say

We had a crappy experience on the the first visit over a year ago. We were asked to try them again after a management change. What a difference. Great service guys. You need to bring a group here. The portions are huge. You will take a lot home. I will have my leftover lasagna today while watching NASCAR. It does seem pricey but each small entrée serves 2 or more people. Refills came often as well as bread for the table. A complete turnaround from the first visit. Well done, great service, very good food. Huge menu. We will return. Thanks Cole !!!

I have been to Bucas a few times before at the downtown location. After a terrible experience during my last visit, I decided to give them one more chance. This time we went to the Greendale location. Absolutely, turned my opinion around! Food was delicious. Prompt and very attentive. The chef even came out to talk to us after he heard about our last experience. They also honored my expired gift certificate and I could see they were trying very hard to make our visit enjoyable. I know they are a franchise, however, it is the staff that makes or breaks your experience. Meaning, every location will be different. These guys rocked!

I get that this place is busy. I get that servers are in a hurry. But to run into me as I walk in the hall towards the bathroom. I mean the waitress crashed into me zipping out of one of the rooms. She didn’t even stop! Then, coming back from the bathroom, I nearly get run over. This time I was wary and stopped before I hit the banquet room. Common sense in a large traffic area… slow down. Have to say though the Caprese Salad is amazing! Not so much being hit with a tray of dishes and a waitress.

It’s a solid 3 stars. Somewhat over priced, but we have found a few things we enjoy. Baked Ziti with Meat Sauce and Chicken and Sausage Ziti with Spinach. I know it’s unbelievable, but I have yet to try the pizza. Tonight they are out of it, so some other time perhaps.

Something for everyone. Every time I’m here the group will order different types of dishes. I do like family style so this is perfect. I get to try a bunch of different things but don’t have to commit to 1 giant dish. I have leftovers every time! Also, I’ve had good luck with the wait staff. Very helpful and pleasant.

This was by far the worst dinning experience we have had in recent memory. Shame on us for not heeding the reviews for this location. Our reason being that since it’s a chain restaurant, and their downtown location has been good in the past, Greendale should be OK. WRONG. We had reservations for 5:45PM on NYE since our party of 6 included a 7 and a 3 year old. We were seated in their back«patio area», which is not inside their restaurant, but out in the mall’s hallway. It was very cold there, and when we asked to be re-seated since there were several large open tables still in the main restaurant we were simply told no, if we wanted to sit in there we would then have to wait. The food was disgusting and as previously mentioned, way over priced. The only real edible dish was the chopped salad. The Shrimp Florentine dish was watery and consisted of 1⁄3 a bowl of water. The Spicy Chicken Rigatoni dish was dry with the noodles being under cooked. The garlic bread was like eating a clove of garlic. Our server was also part of the bad experience. The low light being when she knocked a full glass of water over on the 7yr old, getting her wet, and took her time coming back to help clean up the mess, with very little in a way of an apology. At one point she also knocked a plate into the head of the same 7 yr old. As my wife stated the next day, McDonald’s would of probably been a better NYE meal.
