I’ve passed this place a few dozen times and not stopped, and I finally decided to take a look. This appears to be a business that mostly deals in sheds and furniture. They appeared to have nice wooden products, but I didn’t need a shed. They also have a small store selling various Amish labelled items. I noticed breads and sweats from a Kentucky bakery, fried pies, noodles from another facility in Kentucky, and some dairy/eggs in a cold case. It did not appear much was being made there, so this is more of a store rather than a bakery, consistent with the name. They also had quilts and a nice selection of Amish and Mennonite cookbooks. I’m going to be honest, I’m not thrilled with the large amount of «Amish» wording all over this business, since it appears they are not Amish and their connection is not clear. I mean, they’ve got a neon«open» sign and everything.(EDIT: I’m advised the owners are mennonite). That said, this is a common practice, so I cannot fault them too much. I’m also a bit disappointed to see so little product from the store itself, but everything seemed fresh, and everything said who made it, so I have no real complaints. Maybe not worth a detour, but I’d say give them a shot if you are passing through the area. The pies and dried noodles looked pretty good.
