great location… and yes maybe it is a dive bar. maybe they don’t have the fastest service. but really… what’s the rush? why are people trying to rush through life. why are people trying to rush their food? just relax and learn to have some patience. i like the ambience of this bar. it’s a place where all the locals know each other and try to enjoy themselves. did i mention they have the best wings? these are real big wings and drumettes not like wingstop or hooters. these wings have a solid amount of meat on them and they don’t give you weird shaped pieces. there are a ton of flavors to choose from. they also have a variety of other bar foods from burgers to quesdillas to a housemade gumbo. i’d recommend this place to someone who truly wants to experience green bay.

Sidelines is a fun place, and I have personally had no significant problems with service(though I will admit I’ve had faster service). The place is loaded with TVs, spacious, an outdoor patio for smokers, and the prices are reasonable. The one time I ate there I was literally dumbstruck. I ordered broasted chicken(which they warned me would take 25 minutes). It arrived on time and was a whole freaking chicken with a ton of mashed potatoes. It took me three meals to finish it completely. And it was only about six bucks. Definitely plan on going back for the chicken again. I go to this place to watch Packer games. During home games, their parking lot is packed(with people going to the game), but the inside is usually pretty empty(everyone in their lot is at the game) so there is always bar space with a great view of the many screens. Their prices are slightly cheaper than other nearby pubs on game days. During away games, Sidelines is usually more busy, but they also usually run their happy hour prices.

We should have gotten a clue when every place in town was packed for lunch, but this place had only two cars in the parking lot, but we figured that even though Sidelines has a reputation for having slow service, it wouldn’t be that bad since it wasn’t busy. So maybe we should have read the signs. Despite the fact that we were the only customers ordering food in the entire place, it took over half an hour to get a simple order of a burger and fries plus a french dip and fries. The french dip looked more like a grilled cheese with roast beef. I asked the waitress about the Au jus that would come with it, normally, and she asked«Oh, you want a dip? What kind do you want?» We had to explain her own menu to her! I didn’t bring up the fact that the menu stated the french dip came on a hoagie and not buttered/grilled bread. After she had gone back to the kitchen, we realized that the hamburger was wrong too, plus the french fries were stone cold. When she came back, she actually argued and insisted that the tiny burger patty was indeed a ½ pound burger and there was some kind of sweet sauce on what was supposed to be a mushroom and Swiss burger. When we disagreed, she said«Oh.» and walked away, never to be seen again. No apologies, no concern, no real interest whatsoever! We had to get the bartender to create a bill for us(and were charged for a half pound burger but we were too irritated to make a big deal about it). Never again!
