A gem of a budget hotel! Have you seen«The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel?» This is the American version. Squeaky clean, incredibly gracious host, amenities galore for the price we paid two weeks ago, which was $ 52.00 for two persons in a King bed. Location: On Ramada Way, which is on the same little side street as other chain hotels costing 2 – 4 times as much. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, a Goodwill next door, and a Habitat for Humanity Restore within a block.(Yep. LOVE those Restores!) But I digress. The lobby is huge, with complimentary coffee that is offered(if I am not mistaken) 24 hours a day. What they call a «continental breakfast» is served in the same space in the morning, but there were several hot items such as eggs, sausages and waffles. There is a large indoor pool with lights that gradually change colors. It sounds weird to write it, but my adult daughter who used the pool and hot tub found them to be «mesmerizing and relaxing.» There is a game room adjacent to the pool area that is large and clean. The room had a mini-fridge(already turned on and cold) and a microwave. Budget toiletries offered, the bed was comfortable and the heater in the room was quiet. While there was nothing particularly«fancy» about the place, it felt safe, was clean and would have been a terrific place to take kids for a very inexpensive getaway weekend or an event in Green Bay. The front desk clerk(owner?) was very hospitable, made sure we knew where everything was located, informed us about the free breakfast and was helpful about area restaurants. In the morning as we were about to leave the hotel, my daughter informed me that we should leave the building via a side door because«someone must have had too much to drink or something, because they just puked right in the doorway nearest our car.» Too lazy to walk around the parking lot in the cold, I went through the exit anyway and it had already been thoroughly cleaned up(within moments) by the other person who had been nearby the front desk the night before.(Co-owner/brother?) Bottom line: Stay here, and have extra money left over to eat at Oley’s Pepperoni Cannoli, which is a great little pizza place we ate at over in DePere, WI.

We used this hotel to see the Packers vs NY Jets game. Price was a bit high but that was because it was home game weekend! But it was a great place. Everyone was super nice. It was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast wasn’t bad at all… much better then most places I’ve been!

Good clean room at a reasonable rate, fast free wifi, large flatscreen TV with a good selection of channels. Comfortable bed, nice overall room I’ve stayed here a few times before this and will continue to stay here
