Favorite thing about this place is the phở you can order in the back. Haven’t tried the other things but I’m sure they’re awesome. The little tables in the far left corner are also nice and the variety of extras you can add to the phở is a plus.

This review is more for the deli than the Grocery, although I’d give the grocery 4 starts for having affordable produce, harder to find items like sticky rice, ground shrimp, curry leaves, bitter melon, and these amazing baby purple sweet potatoes that Hmong farmers grow around here. Tons of herbs for very cheap, and a great place to round out your pantry with staples or experimental sauces. My deepest love is for the take-out food from the deli, however. They always have a mix of pre-made dishes, that vary from day to say; spicy pork and eggplant sauté and a duck curry with lychee have stand out in memory. Depending on the day, they also offer roast duck, or sausage or pork or other roastables I have yet to try. To top everything off, you can order Phở or Papaya salad just the way you like it, and of course everything offers the possibility of accompaniment with sticky rice and an egg roll. There are a few tables for eating in house if you are in a hurry(and a case of desserts, many jelly based, that I haven’t made it to yet), but it’s a great place to do a little grocery shopping downtown and come home bearing food to a hero’s welcome.

I am not a fan of the smell! It shows a lack of quality and hygiene. There are no Japanese or Korean products– mainly Vietnamese and Chinese products. Guess I’ll be ordering from the interwebs:(

My husband and I are new in town, so we decided to check out most of the asian super markets close to home. This one was the best one in terms of pricing and fresh selection of very hard to get ingredients such as pigs blood, and whole frozen fish! They also carry several other brands and sauces that you couldn’t get at anyother American store. What sealed the deal was the prices here. It is so unbelievably cheap! Lee Kum Kee brand sauces run only a couple of dollars– so people who cook asian food in GB, this is your go-to! There is a small food counter in the back where you can get delicious fresh food-it is definitely popular and tasty, tons of people were stopping at the store just for the food. They have fried rice, chow fun, and some other typical Chinese dishes — including pork steamed buns! I almost cried. What a gem of a place to find in Packerland! In addition to groceries and freshly prepared food, they have other items like shoes, blankets, and cooking wear that also run very cheap. The only issue I have is they don’t have the biggest selection of noodles or 50lb bags of rice. We’ll have to go elsewhere for those– but we will definitely be back!

This store really piques my interest as an adventurous eater. Admittedly, I’m an outsider in Asian culture, but this store really curates an awesome array of products. For mainstream tastes, they have recognizable brands of hot sauces, curries and ramen noodles. Since I started coming here, I’ve been able start cooking with miso, fish sauce, coconut milk and some other really cool products. The difference here at Asian Taste is that the prices are phenominal. Going back to the more recognizeable products they sell like Sriracha, I’ve found they are always noticeably less expensive than at the other supermarkets around town. There is also a small produce section as well as a prepped food station that serves some really delicious looking stuff. Check this place, you’ll love it.
