Sundari Hair Studio

As a new customer here, my first visit was absolutely delightful. Upon arrival I was offered a selection of coffee, tea or water and was attended to immediately (even though I arrived 5 minutes early). Stylist Dawn was warm and welcoming, and to my surprise, my 45 $ haircut came complete with a scalp, neck and shoulder massage with an essential oil of my choice. The space is absolutely gorgeous and the separate wash/​massage area was relaxing, with soothing music, dim lighting and a faux fireplace. Dawn was very gentle with my very thick/​curly hair and did a great job. Cara, the receptionist, was also helpful and her presence only enhanced my experience. I will certainly be coming back in a few months!

I was in a bridal party that recently had hair and makeup done at Sundari, and no amount of raving will be sufficient to convey our feelings about the experience. Kaitlin was our primary hairstylist (with assistance from Morgan[?]), and Donna did our makeup. They did an absolutely phenomenal job!!! Everyone looked and felt gorgeous, and everything held up beautifully all day and night, in spite of the heat and humidity (including after spending the whole night on the dance floor). Moreover, the whole experience was truly such a pleasure. Everyone on the staff was so kind, friendly, fun, and accommodating, and their space was both really tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We were also pleasantly surprised with the pricing, given the quality of the service and the overall experience. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

This salon is fantastic!!! Came here with a bridal party for hair and makeup and they not only made us look amazing but they treated us like royalty. Sweetest staff and incredibly talented hair dresser and make up artist. We spent a few hours pretty much overtaking the salon and they were very happy to have us. What a great group of ladies!!! 5 star!!!

I’ve been getting my hair cut and colored by Annie for years now. She is phenomenal. I used to pay much more at a fancy salon in NYC and my hair was drying out and the color wasn’t great. Annie has gotten my hair healthy and now I only need highlights instead of both single process and highlights. (She’s kind of a genius that way.) I will now sometimes drive 2 hours to get here to see her (depending on where I am.) She is that good. The salon is LOVELY! much more pleasant and client focused than some other places I’ve been in the area. Everyone is kind, smiling and happy — and they always want you to feel pampered and relaxed. They have a wonderful hair washing room that is relaxing and soothing. Dawn, the owner, makes it feel like family. Love Sundari and everyone who works there!

My husband and I got our hair cuts at Sundari Hair Studio last week while on vacation in Great Barrington. Colleen was our stylist, and she is absolutely lovely! She did a wonderful job on both of our hair cuts. In fact this cut is my favorite style I’ve had in years! Colleen is very warm and approachable, and has a great personality. She is also very careful and attentive while she works. As a special touch, she gave us each a super relaxing neck, shoulder, and scalp massage before shampooing. We had our choice of essential oil for the treatment, which was an added nice touch. I highly recommend this salon, and Colleen in particular! I hope to be back next time I’m in town.

I love this salon! Annie is my stylist and is hands down one of the best in the area. The salon is very clean, everyone is always very friendly and accommodating.

Just an update that Anna is no longer with the salon. I have now had both Dawn and Colleen work on my hair and want to give the thumbs up to both and put out the word that I continue to be very satisfied. In fact, after Dawn did my color, I took off on a business trip and several people, including someone with completely different hair type than mine, stopped me to tell me how nice my hair looked. I am 53 and don’t get compliments that often! I don’t give out recommendations unless I have had the experience, so refrained from commenting on Dawn and Colleen in my earlier post. It is such a lovely place, and I am glad I am still getting great service!

Love this salon! CLEAN and new! My stylist Dawn was amazing. She helped me find a new look with out being pushy. my hilites came out perfect and my cut too. The prices are more than fair AND I got am amazing scalp massage. I travel through this area often and now I more reason to come back!
