Food is good. I will agree with another review, that the overall appeal of the place with the ceiling tiles is quite lacking. Staff is friendly overall, food tastes good, but nothing special. Only been once, I figure I’ll end up back eventually, just the hours don’t make it as easy. Would recommend trying though if you’re curious.

Waffle Way is always a great start to the day. We’ve been eating here for nearly 10 years & the food is consistently of high quality & delicious as we like to say…“made with love”. You can’t go just anywhere & get whipped cream for your waffle that is actual«whipped cream»! Linda, Natasha, Samantha & the gang are always welcoming & remind you that they appreciate your business. Even on busy days, it’s worth the wait over larger chains in the area. Give it a try!

Food was great, fresh. The reason I gave 3 stars is that it was not the cleanest place ever and food was a little slow coming out. Tasted great, just could use a little sprucing up.

PLEASE clean the air vents and replace the ceiling tiles!!! They are disgusting. Food is decent, however, CLEAN the air vents and replace the ceiling TILES!!! Especially if you want to attract a new generation of clients.

The service was great. It was busy, but she still gave great service. The food was good homemade breakfast food, not gourmet, but good. The building is pretty run down, but it’s not a deterrent. We will go again.

$ 9.39 for a plain waffle, side of bacon, and a cup of coffee. First things first, the décor is very simple, but the tables were clean and ready to go. It is set up much like a Waffle House, though they have a bit of a wall built up around the kitchen. There is no sign saying to seat yourself, so when you walk in, the waitresses just stare at you for a bit before they tell you to have a seat wherever. The service was mediocre. I had to ask for cream for my coffee and syrup for my waffles. On to the food. The coffee was burnt. You could smell it. The waffle tasted like it came from a mix. Meaning it didn’t have much of a flavor at all. They do fancy toppings that seem to be popular, but if you are looking for a delicious Belgium waffle, look elsewhere. The bacon was good. Nice and crispy like I like it. All in all, you will get a better waffle at the breakfast bar at a La Quinta.

Good old diner food! Small dining area, but they are quick at getting people in and out. Good local place to go for breakfast!

The staff was very friendly, service was great, and the food was awesome. .it was kind of crowded but that was to be expected on a Saturday morning.

Wow. What a find near the airport. Had the pecan waffle with crispy bacon and crispy hash browns. AND the hash browns were crispy the first time to they table which is very rare. Will definitely be back.

I so wanted to find a gem in the rough but sadly I am still on the prowl. My wife suggested we try this place since the intended target was so busy we couldn’t find a parking space. WW was busy but we were able to find a booth immediately! Server greeted us and took our drink order but then the wait was on. Seemed like a long time to wait for drinks. We then ordered and waited for the food. While waiting I noticed the ceiling in the kitchen. I had to refrain from looking because it was gross. ITNEEDSTOBECLEANED. This was interesting because I noticed the stainless steel backsplash was clean. The food was good but the service was slow and not very attentive. No refills on my soda, had to go looking for ketchup for the hash browns. I don’t know if management is tired or has lost of the mission but very apparent that servers are not trained/managed. Would I go there again? Not sure, depending on the cleanliness I may walk out before ordering if they don’t do something about the ceiling. Food was good and I would give it another chance. Service, wouldn’t take much to give them a few pointers.

Have lived in Grapevine for over 10 years and this was my first visit to waffle way. You walk into a diner that has been around in an old Texas town for a long, long time, The blue waffle way sign is a staple in Grapevine; everyone knows where it is and uses it as a landmark. The waitresses are all wearing t-shirts and jeans and a cap; NRA logo, camo, or whatever their boyfriend or hubby had that was relatively clean that they could use for the day. the waitress says hello and tells you to sit where you want in such a heavy texas accent that you barely understand her if youre a yankee. You sit at a table or booth and people watch as you scan the short menu. Everybody knows everyone in there. we watched as people came in and were greeted as though they were old friends — hugs and hellos from staff. they ask about recent trips and family members. it was pretty cool to watch. staff is very nice. Definitely down-home, country cookin’ without very many healthy options available but definitely worth the trip if you like to people watch and you like a ‘cheers’ type vibe. ill be back, not for the food although it was good, but because its just a neat little place. I had the monterey chicken and hubs had the everything omlette. both were huge portions that were hard to finish. 2 meals, 2 drinks aprox $ 25. check for coupons.

This was a breakfast diner. The service was ok. There was no ambiance. The food, while fine, was nothing special. Prices were good. Ceiling tiles showed lots of wear and tear, and water damage. Not reassuring for a place where you’re eating. If you want breakfast food, then I guess it’s ok. But you could easily go to a number of other casual breakfast places with competitive pricing.

It’s not really clear whether you seat yourself or wait to be seated when you first walk in. We had a fairly large group(three adults, four kids) and all the larger tables were taken. If an older couple hadn’t offered up their booth for a smaller table, I’m not sure how much longer we would have been standing. Other than that, the service was very attentive. The food was basic diner food. Our coffee was weak, my chicken fried chicken was good, but the chicken fried steak we ordered was not. I guess it’s an ok place. We don’t live in Grapevine, so we probably won’t be driving back just to eat here.

I had the Banana Pecan Waffle and what they forget to mention is that they put a generous poof of the most delectable whipping cream in the middle!!! My husband had the Spanish Omelette with chili(yes, meaty chili) in the middle along with some other fresh add-ins and it was delicious! And before I forget, the prices are more than reasonable… it almost felt like we were robbing the place as good as the service and food were! We will be returning to the Waffle Way on our next trip to Dallas!

First of all I would like to say the food was very good and came out rather quickly. Our waitress however was not very attentive or very friendly. I tried to get her attention to refill my drink and ask for a to go box. She just held up her finger as if to say she would be back in a moment and never came back. I went and got my own to go box. I didn’t even bother with the refill.

Still have great food. During Spring Break, I had the Turkey Wrap and my daughter had the Chili Frito Pie. Today 03÷21÷15, the place is full. People are standing waiting for tables. My wife and I are splitting a Cheese and Mushroom Omelette and my daughter ordered Biscuits and Gravy. The food was excellent and the coffee hot. Y’all need to visit and have a great meal here.

I HATE giving bad reviews, but I must be missing something with this place. Honestly, I was completely unimpressed with not only the food, but the service and the cleanliness… so much so that my daughters asked that we never go back. For instance, there were so many flies near our window seat that we asked to be moved. The floor was greasy and slippery and the bathrooms… well…lets just say they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Then the waitress dropped water on us yet didn’t apologize or clean it up! My bacon, however large the portion, appeared to have been microwaved as it was all white and hard. My daughter ordered breakfast tacos and they were cold, as were the pancakes my other daughter ordered. We asked for more syrup and a glass of milk, which was delivered as we were finishing our meal. Oh, and have fun with the check-in coupon you get from Unilocal… took three waitresses to figure out how to deduct the 15% off. I am all about eating and shopping local, but this was a definite debacle all around. Sorry folks, guess we picked a bad day for Waffle Way! It was more like RUNAWAY as fast as you can!

Wow. When my parents told me we would be going to some Waffle house type place I did not expect this at all. It was very packed! That made me think good signs for sure. When we finally got seated, I ordered OJ, my parents coffee and my mom tomato juice. The Oj was great, the coffee was awesome, but the tomato juice was a bit funky. We honestly thought it looked like someone spit in it but I would not want to judge a situation when we don’t know. My mom tasted it and it didn’t taste so great either. We had questioned the«spit looking» on top of our juice and the waitress said the juice bottle was in the freezer area so it was just unfreezing and thats why it looked like that. Well my mom tasted it and she didn’t like it so we sent it back. For Food, I got eggs, bacon, and a biscuit. My mom got waffles and hashbrowns, and my dad omelet with english muffin. All of our food was awesome. My mom fully enjoyed her waffles. The biscuits were nice and fluffy. Probably the best I have ever had! Don’t judge this place by the way it looks because the food justifies it for sure. Not the cleanest people here, not the cleanest area, but the food tastes delicious!
