Liquor Stores

First off, Oregon’s state run liquor stores are one of the FEW things that I believe are an area where Oregon state does something less sensibly than California. even though there isn’t state sales tax, distilled spirits prices are higher here than Ca, since liquor isn’t sold competitively. That minor complaint out of the way, this store seems well run, has a good selection and I’m really impressed with how they try to showcase Oregon made spirits! Not only are locally produced spirits on the shelves in there respective categories, Vodka, Whiskey, Rum, Gin, etc, but they even have a section that’s ALL Oregon produced, I like the support the local producer mentality. Unlike the other Grants Pass liquor store that’s in a seedy part of town frequented by the local druggies and assorted bums, this store is in a clean shopping center with plenty of parking
