OMG! If you like food and wine, you will be in heaven. We are new to town, J was in California bringing up the final load and I was scouting out the cute little downtown. Popped by TC for an hors d’ just to check it out. So good I decided to have a ½ sandwich and salad. Lovely. Good wine too. The couple next to me recommended a warm toffee cake desert. Really splendid. And a Port to go with it. Incredible! I didn’t want to leave! So when Jim got home, we went and had a proper meal and more of that CAKE!!! Beth, one of the owners, introduced herself. We sat at the bar just to meet her and hear about their lovely wines, etc. I heard about the monthly wine tasting dinner and signed us up. That, too, was fantastic, albeit a bit pricey — about $ 200 for two, but memorable. So if you would like a really stellar meal in a quaint place in downtown GP, you can’t do any better than this. Today is Wednesday, their $ 5 hors d’ oeuvre and wine day, so we will most likely pop in for a treat. Good riddance California! Grants Pass is home sweet HOME!!!

We had the best dinner there and great service! Our Helena(not sure I am spelling that right) was the best waitress!

Meh. It was ok. The salad I had for lunch was a typical Caesar, but heavy on the cream. The waitress was nice enough and the atmosphere felt like it was designed for the 50+ female who wanted to meet the ladies for lunch. As a guy, it’s not a place I would frequent for lunch, but perhaps dinner with the wife would be a better choice. No real complaints, just not my cup of tea. Four stars for effort, I can see they did put quite some effort converting from a coffee shop to an upper end eatery.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was so relaxed and the staff were amazing. The owner came out and greeted us asked how everything was and suggested a dessert which was unbelievable. I think it was the best dessert I’ve ever had. It was a date cake with this toffee sauce on top that was unbelievable«Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake». For dinner I had the Mediterranean orzo shrimp which was fabulous. The menu has so many wonderful unique items. You have to try the blue cheese homemade potato chips, they’re out of this world.

I give at least 3 stars to places I’ll return. So unfortunately I won’t be returning here. Most staff were too busy chatting with regulars. No one seemed concerned about people waiting for drinks or service. We were asked, «how was dinner» by the host who seated us an hour earlier. We had to say we don’t know, cause we had not had dinner yet.(Was that a clue to get someone’s attention? Unfortunately no). The food was very good. But at the price I expect more and to get what’s on the menu. Instead, 2 of us got ‘we’re out of …” Very frustrating to have to wait for more than an hour in a small restaurant for your meal.

We don’t drink but were looking for a great place to eat while staying on the Rogue River. The twisted cork is that place. The women working there are so nice and the food is delicious. The cod sandwich is off the charts, and the roasted red pepper soup was great too. Definitely give this place a whirl.

A very small location and you may have to wait longer to get a table but it is worth it! The burgers and fresh cut fries were really good!

Definitely my go-to for date night. I love their ever-changing wine list and dinner specials. But one thing I’m glad doesn’t change is the salted caramel toffee pudding. I’ve never had anything like it and it is hands-down my favorite dessert ever!

We had a very good dinner here as we were passing through from Seattle to Jacksonville. My husband’s salmon Ceaser salad was good in that there was an ample fillet that was grilled perfectly, very slightly crisped. I had a cup of their roasted pablano soup and a Rogue grilled chicken salad. The soup had a lovely, prominent roasted pablano flavor with a light cheddar/creamy base. The salad was lovely and the house made blue cheese dressing was served on the side. Great Rogue Creamery Blue Cheese crumbles! Very fresh greens. I will be back and I might just have dessert as I did not have room with a cup of soup and the smaller salad. We had a good River’s Edge ’09 Barrel Select Pinot Noir for $ 33. The service was attentive but not overbearing. The space is cozy but not large. I would call ahead for larger groups.

Fabulous! Doesn’t feel like GP when you’re in there. My sister in law and I came in on a Saturday evening around 6 and had a short wait for a table. There was a suuuuuper cute looking little store attached but it was 6pm on a Saturday in Grants Pass, so it wasn’t open lol. We both ordered the California & Oregon red flights which came with 4 pours of some great selections. This was back in April so I def don’t remember the names but I know they had Justin in there, which is one of my favorite cab sav’s. For snackies, we got the warm olives and the bleu cheese chips and both were really good and surprisingly satisfying. My sister in law ordered the alfredo linguini to bring back to the hotel for my brother. They both said it was super yummy even the next day, warmed up in the microwave :) The service was good even with the busy Saturday night they were having. Over all it was a great choice and I definitely want to go back for a date night :)

Wonderful food here! Worth every penny, truely. Date, bacon & blue cheese appetizer is fab. Roasted poblano soup was amazing, salmon ceasar salad was great. The dressings are homemade and so tasty. The sorbets are a perfect finish to the meal. Definetly the top of my list for GP dining. Seating was a bit too cozy for my preference. Tables are too close. Though the atmosphere is lovely.

Pros: wonderful atmosphere, helpful and pleasant staff, delicious dessert Cons: unfortunately dinner left much to be desired… The execution was poor and the portions were far too large(a good indication of overcompensation). I will preach over and again that a complicated menu does not equal a good menu. My entrée had a smattering of muddled flavors and seemed to lack direction.

Pomegranate Cinnamon Flank Steak and Mediterranean Shrimp with Orzo — two meals to rave about! So glad we read the reviews on Twisted Cork while visiting from Portland. My husband and I both thought we had the best meal and were stingy in sharing! Service was superb in spite of being a busy Friday nite. Wine by the glass menu is quite limited but their wine by the bottle collection is awesome.

A recent visit for lunch found us looking for the Twisted Cork. This wine bar/bistro has a great menu with lots of local purveyors on the it and a wine list to match. A small place with friendly and comfortable service that was spot on. They also have a very nice wine selection on the wall, not on the menu, I found several there that were very nice and limited production runs — all reasonably priced, just waiting to be uncorked. Fresh flowers on the tables is a nice touch and makes the experience even more enjoyable. Comfortable, casual and classy are the first impressions, nicely decorated with actual space around each table seating area make this space feel open and unpretentious. A must try appetizer if you are a fan of blue cheese, the warm Blue cheese Potato chips. Using local blue cheese from Rogue Creamery, this treat was so good and pared so well with our wine, there was only one problem — we wanted more! I ordered the Cesar salad with seared Salmon. The Salmon was perfectly prepared resting nicely on top of a nice bed of local Romaine hearts, fresh tasty and delicious — the house-made Cesar dressing was mixed nicely throughout the bed of greens. A great and filling lunch option. My wife ordered, the Open faced Chicken sandwich with Blueberry compote, she said it was delicious and the sample bite that I got was quite tasty, a wonderful mix of well prepared moist tender chicken and the sweetness of the blueberry compote — it was also solid choice for lunch. All in all, a great place to grab a glass of wine and a bite to eat. Lunch for two with an excellent bottle of wine and tip — $ 90 and worth every penny. You can do it for about half without the bottle… We plan to visit again the next time we are in town, and on the list of great places behind the Redwood curtain… A solid 4.5 Stars — rounded up for the stellar service and recommendations for wineries. 271

Heaven! Cheese plate, blue cheese potato chips, cheese stuffed dates and the chicken balsamic sandwich!!! Small plates, fresh local ingredients and clean eating with simplicity yet bold flavor are going to blow your mind. I’m picky and this is a top favorite. Great service too!

Good place. Quiet. Great food. Wife got their butternut squash topped with Gouda soup. She loved it. Flavorful, seasoned perfectly. Gluten free bread was rustic and hearty, paired great with the soup. I got their cod burger and salad. It is a grilled cod sandwich on a bun. Dill aioli, tomato, red onion, pea shoots on a brioche bun. When I first bit into it, my mind wasn’t sure what it bit into. Second bite on, my taste buds loved every second of it. Give them a try if you want peace and quiet while eating.

OMG!!! Michael & I stopped in based on their 5-Star rating. This place is amazing. The fresh warm blu cheese potato chips are pure sin. Two million stars. I am severely addicted. Dang, I was doing so well on my diet. I think were coming back for dinner tonight!

Toffee cake was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had, with gooey, melty goodness. The stuffed dates were a hit, as well as the salmon entrées. Of course they have a ridiculously good wine list and the service and ambiance are top notch. Perfect spot to bring wine-loving parents.
