I read all the other reviews and agree with them all with the exception of the idiot who gave it 5 stars and called the rest of the raters«jerks». I think it sucked! I saw the TV ads for«Free Grand Slam Breakfast For Veterans On Veterans Day!» so the wife and I took advantage of that. We arrived about 1:45 in the afternoon after a doctor’s appointment and another errand. The parking lot was empty. I thought«This could be good or bad.» Upon entering, there were only another young couple who sat and necked the entire time we were there, leaving just before we finished our meal. I thought«Cute. Nice kids». We self seated and«Miss Friendly» a grumpy woman asked what we wanted to drink. «Iced tea.» We got our tea although it was tasteless and weak. Then, she came back with two milk shakes and 2 menus and stopped. «Grab these.» What? «GRAB these! The menus!» I took them and said: «Self service, huh?» Apparently she couldn’t handle 2 shakes and 2 menus. The shakes went to the two lovebirds. Come time to order, I said: «I’m here for my free veterans grand slam breakfast.» «Oh, that ended at noon.» Huh? Maybe she should have mentioned that at 8:30 when I called asking if I needed my DD214 as proof of being a military veteran. We should have left but, what the hell… I ordered a club sandwich and my wife a steak Cobb salad. When they arrived her salad had maybe 8 small pieces of meat that looked questionable to me. My wife is one never to complain but I thought it looked weird. The«salad» consisted of what appeared to be dandelion leaves. My sandwich was okay but pretty much tasteless. I took a restroom break after ordering and the men’s room reeked of stale urine. You know, that«Downtown Fresno Greyhound Bus Station Urinal» smell. Yuk! The smell stuck in my facial hair and I smelled it the rest of the visit. As we ate, a group of four entered and sat down(2 men, 2 women) The waitress came over and talked then they all left. Don’t know why. Then, a man walked up wearing a nice jacket that said«Army» on it. He first talked to «Miss Friendly» and left. Due to my 40 to 50% hearing loss, I couldn’t hear the conversation but my wife said he asked about the free vet’s breakfast and he left being too late. «Breakfast served 24 hours», right? WRONG! Poor guy. Now, if Denny’s is «Always Open» the«free breakfast» should last all day and night, Veterans day. I think the problem with this particular Denny’s is, it must have been nice when new but as Grants Pass grew. fast food restaurants took over going west. The place should be closed. The employees should be better trained. The 2 semi-low life looking cooks sang along to some of the piped in music which I found annoying. One had«rad dude» earrings hanging from his left ear lobe which I find unacceptable wearing at any job involving the public. Take ‘em off and put ‘em on after you leave. In short, it sucked. No class. No «I care about my job» attitude. They lost 5 customers due to the noon cut-off time for us Veterans on Veteran’s Day. Grants Pass Denny’s, use lettuce for your salads, not weeds! This dive would have been right at home in Mojave. Thank you my fellow Veterans. David, 52B20 U.S. Army 1973⁄1976

This Denny’s has only one thing bad about it. Slow service. The good thing about it is the food is well prepared. Tasty and good service. Yeah, the cook took a long time to make a simple omelet but it wasn’t dry and it had a moist filling. Compared to the Denny’s located in Sutherlin, this one in Grants Pass is Wonderful.

One of our worst experiences ever. We rely on Denny’s when traveling. This one was right off I-5 and near a gas station. It was a Sunday and we stopped for lunch. Yes, they were busy, but we were seated right away. It took a while but we got beverages and placed our order. After 45 minutes we were told our meals were next up. We had checked earlier and got the same news. Finally, our meal arrived and it was horrible. The egg white omelet was floating in brown liquid. I got my fresh fruit, my husband did not. We were told would get a 20% discount because of the delay. Not even close. Could not figure out what number they based that on. Why didn’t we just leave? Good question! Just thought we would be starting over somewhere else and be even later on the road. We should have left… Won’t be stopping there in the future.

We were at Denny’s on Memorial Day for breakfast. The service was extremely slow and the only one really hustling was a bus boy who took some initiative to get us seated before we walked back out the door.(The place wasn’t that busy.) We finally ordered but it took us a very long time to get our food. The waitress kept apologizing but after so long, that simply wasn’t working. When we did get our food, it was good but it seems like there is always some sort of a problem at any Denny’s Restaurant. Probably won’t go anymore.

We have been to Dennys in many cities throughout California and Oregon. I must say this location was the worst I have been in. The food was consistent but the service was inexcusable. Took forever to be seated, then the waitress shows up and introduces herself as the person to assist us, then we never saw her again. My order was wrong, never refilled our coffee. On and on… we’ll never return !

Sure it’s Denny’s, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. This one has a new cook who can make an awesome, fluffy omelet. A bit of a rarity nowadays. Service is excellent and cheerful. Try to sit in Stephanie’s section.

Horrible service. 5 waiter/waitresses on the floor 3 other couples eating my wife n I were ignored from the start. Took forever to even take our drink order then finally took our food order. Then let our food sit forever and serve others that came in after us there food first. Our food was cold couldn’t get a glass of water to save our life’s.

It’s Denny’s. Not sure what else needs to be said. The food was average, the price was good, and the service was average. Had to flag the server down for a water refill but overall a typical experience. The Santa Fe Scramble was ok.

After several days in the road, good food was welcome. The food was great, hit the spot. The service was wonderful. I’m giving this Denny’s 3 stars cause the building needs cleaned. The tables, seats and utensils were clean. But the walls need washed, the floors need scrubbed, the carpets need cleaned. There was a layer of grime on the cash register. The clock on the wall had a layer of dust and and grime on it. All in all the food was great! And the service was pleasant.

Great location right of I-5 and right back on. Great place to grab a bite and get back on the road. Country fried skillet was filling and delicious! Great Value

Well, it’s still the worst Denny’s of all time. Worst omelette ever. E V E R!!! Prices too high for the shit food – and it’s pretty crazy that I have to say that. Denny’s is known for not great food at really cheap prices. Our waiter was friendlier this time, though, so we actually tipped.

Ordered a skillet and specifically requested for cheese to be place on the side. FAILED. Food came out with cheese slathered all over. The waitered said it wasn’t doable and ask if I want to send it back. No thanks I don’t want a side of spit on my order. He handed us the bill before serving our dessert. To top it off, they overcharged on one of our orders. Come on fellas…

People are just jerks with these reviews! Dennys was super busy when we came here, and our waiter still did great! The food was just as great as the one in Roseburg and Eugene! I noticed the $ 2, $ 4, $ 6, $ 8 menu is much smaller than it used to be but prices aren’t that much higher, it’s due to the economy everyone is suffering. My only complaint is there needs to be more than 1 bathroom stall for women! :P I wish Medford would get a Dennys! Count yourselves as lucky to have it Grants Pass people! ;)

Talk about NOCUSTOMERSERVICE… this place wins it for Denny’s. With just a few customers at 9 p.m. July 1, 2010, the order took forever to arrive, no coffee refills, and the food was sub par! I They certainly made me and my family invisible to themI swear this is the last Denny’s I’ll ever go to!

Wouldn’t normally write a review on Denny’s… but this place smelled like urine! Food was super… but, you have to ignore the smell. Also, super easy to pull on/off the freeway to eat here.
