We stayed here June 2, 2013… We left behind some personal items… After several phone calls requesting return, at our expense, our items have never appeared… Even returned in Aug. in person to pick up said items & were told they were in Austin & would soon be returned, since he was aware now that we wanted the items returned… WHAT??? Today is sept. 6

This place is great. I’m a fulll time resident and it is quiet and secluded during the week, on the weekends it’s more lively. There is volleyball, 2 pools, a sandy roped off beach on the lake, boat docks and a fishing pier. I really enjoy it her

My family stayed here a few years ago… maybe ’07, and we thought it was a cute place. The lake is always consistent here and it seemed like a nice weekend getaway especially for the kids. BUT… Our condo was old and needed major updating… hopefully they did so by now. As much as I hate to say this… The older man that was running the place was unwelcoming and rude… but he probably just favored«people of his race» since he only gave us problems and no one else. Another issue was how unaccommodating he was. I say this because my son accidentally left his stuff dog there that he had since he was a baby. I called the same man within an hour of leaving this joke of a place and begged him to please go to our room and get it for us. I begged him to send it to us and just charge our credit card. I gave him our addy and phone number. I told him how important this dog was to my son. He just brushed it off and said there’s nothing he could do for us. He said he’d call us whenever housekeeping gets to our room and see if they see it. I even told him exactly where it was and he could have cared less. He could have got his lazy butt on his little cart and got it for us. Of course, we never heard from him and I knew whenever housekeeping got there it would be lost forever. Of course he cried for months and he still talks about«his dog» ’til this say… he’s 10 now. Try explaining to a kid why someone wouldn’t help us, why there’s bad people in this world, racism, etc., because he heard the entire conversation… So all in all, if you’re not white stay away from this place. Remember, it’s an old Texas town!!! I’m asian btw. lol… BEWARE!!!

I can’t review without giving a rating? I’ve averaged my experience and my brother’s… I read Kristina’s review, so made sure I reserved a «No Pets» one bedroom condo for my 5-person family… … that had fleas. Hungry fleas. «Stand at the edge of the carpet and within a minute see them leaping towards you» hungry fleas. The property manager was as helpful as he could be, which in this case was offer a complete refund. I had to have sleeping for 5, and he had available a) one bedroom condos that could not sleep 5, and b) two bedroom condos for which he was not authorized to make a price concession. If the condo owners would give him some flexibility, this could have been a more positive review. Ironically, my brother rented a two bedroom condo that allowed pets(so he could bring his dog), and he had no flea problems. Tip: look in the picture of the living room for tile instead of carpet. Fleas cannot hide in tile ;-)

Myself and 5 of my girlfriends decided to rent a Condo here this past weekend. I’m not sure how one of my friends came across it, but it seemed to suit our location and price range so we decided to go for it. It was a little hard for us to locate, but once we did we were happy to be there. We were greeted by tennis courts and pools and a pretty cute beach area. The first night we were there, we noticed pretty quickly there was an ant & tick infestation in the living room. They didn’t seem to bother us too much… but ewwww! We ended up calling the landlord and he accommodated us as much as possible. The bigger pool was nice and we could hang out there when the beach was too packed. All water spots get a little too crowded with kids for my taste, but if you have kids, I s’pose it would be a great fit. If you’re looking for a semi-inexpensive weekend getaway, with somewhat low expectations, this could be the place for you. If you’re looking for something a little less kid friendly or retirement community feeling, this is probably not the place for you.
