The atmosphere here is dark and confined. It’s not too dark just mood lighting, why do they need mood lighting? I sat in the dining area and it is very compact. I don’t like when I feel crushed together. It is not a well thought out design. I ordered the Belt Buster Burger($ 11) with sweet potato fries($ 2). The burger comes stuffed with cheddar cheese and a fried egg on top. The burger was good and filling, it just wasn’t special. Would I have the burger again, if I was already there and nothing else sounded good yes, otherwise no. The bun was good it almost felt like it wasn’t there. As for the sweet potato fries they were very average. Not exciting at all. Plus the fact I have to upgrade for fries on a $ 11 burger is annoying. The service was very friendly and helpful, but I had a long wait for the bill. Overall I give it 3 ½ stars. Since I can’t have a half star I have to round. I feel like I should round up because nothing was wrong with the meal. However I can’t. Atmosphere and average food equals a rounding down. Will I be back? Highly doubtful.

Love the late night happy hour specials! From 10PM-2AM, you get half-off all appetizers(I get the boneless wings w/fries and I always leave with a box!) and the beer prices are amazing for late night HH too. My hubby and I eat here and only pay like $ 14 for two apps and two tall beers :) HH is Sunday-Thursday! Waitresses are also on top of their game. I’ve never had a problem with waitresses here being sucky! As an ex-waitress, that says a lot. Highly recommend. This is my go-to joint when I just need to chill w/the homies.

After several visits to this chain, this one being the most recent I decided to raise my glass and toast to the consistency and quality of our experiences. Although the menu on a whole is not what I would deem true and authentic Italian a lot of the dishes come close to or are equal to the best meals I have had elsewhere. They have almost always been busy and noisy and the initial greeting and drink and food ordering has been a little slow but understandable and our party of ten was served reasonably soon. Everybody was happy with the food and most of the dishes were plentiful. It was the first time I had seen a teenager in the group not be able to finish his pizza. This trip in late January this year I tried the seafood risotto and will order it again.

Went here the other day and the service was very good. Staff was helpful and friendly and food was served quickly even though it was dinner time on a Friday. Food was excellent except for my wife’s Alfredo which was very tasteless. Only other complaint about this location is parking. The restaurant can take many more people than the parking lot can. We had to park quite a ways away and walk to the location. Overall, generally positive experience. Would likely go again.

Not at all Italian, but not bad. I actually chuckle when I see the«Ristorante» on the sign. My nephew likes this place, so we come here to grab lunch or dinner and a beer sometimes. The appetizers are pretty much the usual bar fare. The pasta dishes are about as Italian as Chef Boyardee, but that’s not to say they are bad by any means, just not authentic Italian. The pizza is not my favorite, but that might just be my taste. The burgers and sandwiches are what I typically go with and when they are accompanied by a cold draft, it’s all good. The overall ambiance of this place is your typical sports bar, but I have always found the service to be decent and the prices reasonable.

Excess cheese, excess sauce, everything’s voluminous and salty. Wife likes the place. Good place to watch a game. It’s not really Italian, it’s faux-midwestern-tomato saucy. Big, icy fruity drinks are good.

Solid bar food and a delicious Cesar salad! We came here late after a return flight back into town — no time to eat after our layover. We ended up being there during happy hour, so we ordered a few appetizers. We had spinach and artichoke dip which was served with pita points and chips and was very creamy and delicious. We also had chicken strips and fries, which were basic but good overall– the fries were vey crunchy. We also had a side Cesar salad that was awesome– it was very large and the dressing was super tasty. The pizza puffs were a major letdown, however– they are just puffs of unseasoned bread served with marinara and cheese, not filled with pizza goodness! I was betrayed by the pizza puffs. The place is clean, the service was good, and there are tons of TVs, so I’d imagine this is a great place to catch a game.

One of my favorite places. I like all the tv’s they have at their huge island bar! The Margarita dip is awesome, we get it every time we’re here. Great beers, great service.

Probably the last time I will eat here. Poor service, bland lasagna, below average drinks, long wait times.

Very random combination of Italian food and a sports bar, but it works. The ambience is … cheap, to say the least, but the service is very good – and the food is excellent. I wanted to order half the menu after I tasted the few things I did order. Yum! My friend and I sat in the sports-bar arena area with the wall TVs, and that was a bit overkill for us, even on a Sunday night. I mean, how much Australian rules football can one person tolerate? To each their own. The food and service are good; nothing else should matter.

Love their MONDAY night specials on all pasta dishes: 2 for price of 1. All pastas are delicious and the serving sizes mean take home for another meal. Ken M

Well I have to do it. I’ve given them a pass for 2 years! I honestly think they are messing with me. This is NOT an exaggeration. I have probably ordered Deluxe Chips and Cheese 100 times. I drive a good distance to get them. Without fail, they forget something every single time. I’ve had this conversation at least a dozen times with managers. Tonight it was jalapeños. I order several meals at a time, so I can’t dig through the 3 bags with various containers. I assume they will do their job. The food is good but I am beyond annoyed. This has been happening on a regular basis for 2 years. Moving on… anyone can make nachos.

This is a great place if you are looking to catch a sports event. I would say the best time to go is when they have appetizer and drink deals. I usually like to attend this place after 10 because of the deals they provide at that time. I am a fan of the pizza puffs but have tried many other dishes there that are okay. This isn’t a place I would ideally take a date on. This is the type of place I would go after a sporting event with friends or to watch a game with casual friends.

There’s a front patio, a bar section, a dining room section, and I think a back patio or some kind of extra seating area… A lot of different seating options for your varied dining moods. My group of four chose the regular dining room that still had TVs present but wasn’t as sports bar-like as the actual bar area. We started with bruschetta and then ordered a range of entrees including salads, pasta and chicken. We all enjoyed our food and the portion sizes were plentiful across the board. Service was very attentive during our meal. We were greeted by two managers who asked how the meal was, and if this was our first time at Uccello’s(it was so we got a little bonus gift card/free dessert for a return visit). Our waitress was always back and forth checking on us and filling up waters. It was borderline too much attention, but I’d definitely take that over being ignored any day. I’d come back if/when in the area!

My pasta was excellent but my wife’s scallopini was beyond well done, bordering on burnt. Salad and bread was very good as well. Service was poor — waiting 10 minutes for silverware when my salad is already in front of me us unacceptable.

I’ve been here so many times I can’t even count. This sports bar has gone through a lot of transformations(remodeling wise and management wise). The one thing that keep me coming back is the delicious food. The margherita dip, fettuccine Alfredo, signature pizza and other items are good for a sports bar atmosphere. The food alone is 5 stars. I run an alumni club and we have been coming to Uccellos for 10 years. The service is usually great, but making reservations for an alumni group and having tables ready for an event has been less than stellar in the last year. In fact, my group was kicked out of the reserved area in favor of another group and we were told we would get some appetizers the next time(four events since then, nothing ever happened.) The service is very good, always prompt and nice people.

Uccello’s is a pretty good casual, laid-back dinner option for families. We had the deep dish pizza, which was definitely one toke over the line. NOT the kind of pizza I’d order more than once a year. We rather enjoyed the Margherita Dip but it could have used a few more pieces of bread. Prices were average, service was good. I liked the separation of the dining room and bar areas. I did not like having to walk past the smokers on our way in and out of the restaurant.

Our party of 10 arrived for dinner on Saturday night after a busy day of touring GVSU and the Art Prize during family weekend. We had called ahead so when we got there, we didn’t wait long before the hostess seated us. We were seated and the waitress promptly took our drink order. Then we waited. and waited.and waited… waited some more.(This was a running theme the whole time!!) And its not like we could have a decent conversation while waiting because it was SOO loud in there! Then we got our drinks and my mother in-law ordered some apps. After about a half hour, we received our apps and then the waitress took a LONG time to come back to take our dinner orders. I ordered the Southwest Salad with salmon. When it finally arrived, it was really good. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the seasoning was just delish! the rest of the party ordered stuffed pizzas, pasta, and more salads. Everyone liked the food-Standard Italian. Recommended if you have time to wait.
