I love the food at Olga’s, it is always great. The original Olga(with cheese of course) is my favorite.

Olga’s…you’re starting to show your age. Yes, your menu has been revamped and your prices reflect it. You have not upped the quality of the food. I’ve been a customer of Olga’s Woodland since the mid-80’s. Snackers are my favorite menu item. If I order them, I always have to ask for fresh, warm ones otherwise they come out cold and hard as a brick. This is a staple… how can you get it wrong? Service yesterday was incredibly slow(restaurant not busy for a Saturday). Condiments and drink refills were hard to come by. If this is how you continue to do business, your long-standing customers will find themselves going elsewhere for lunch. I won’t rush back… it’s a sad day.

Let me begin by saying that I love Olga’s. I have eaten there since I was little and have always loved their food. However recently, the Olga’s in Woodland Mall has left a bad taste in my mouth. This is a short story, so I’ll get right to it: My girlfriend and I stopped in yesterday for lunch. We didn’t have much time, but we weren’t trying to rush either. We reluctantly chose the Olga’s in the mall to save a little time. We approached the host, Kevin, and let him know that we required a table for 2 and would kindly like a booth. He hesitated and looked around and then asked us to «hold on.» He walked toward the back of the dining room looking like he was actually lost. Now, keep in mind, two thirds of the restaurant is empty. There are more booths available than people in the restaurant(slight exaggeration). He finally wibbles his way back to the host stand where he left us and asks us to follow him, all the while seeming thoroughly confused at what is happening. We go back toward a booth, excellent. But, it’s directly across from a mother and child and we kindly asked to sit in the adjacent booth, not 3 feet right of the booth he presented to us, but with a barrier to provide some privacy. He then informed us that the section was«closed for cleaning.» It is 6:00PM For those of you who have been in the restaurant industry you know that you don’t close half the restaurant during the dinner rush. And besides, there was not enough people there for them to put out potential customers. If you want Olga’s go to East Grand Rapids. We left the mall and went there and had a wonderful time. Ciao!

Went here twice back a while ago and the food was ok. The fries were some what uncooked and just wasn’t pleased with the experience. Hoping things have changed and probably will visit soon and give the place another shot.

I always go to Olga’s when I get back to Grand Rapids. Took the family and we had a party of 8. The hostess told us the wait would be 15 minute. Two table opened up sided by side but they seated other people that had just walked. When asked the hostess said the tables were in two separate«sections» and they couldn’t serve us that way. Shortly after 3 tables next to each other opened up. When asked this time they said they couldn’t seat us because they didn’t have enough servers and we we have to wait an additional 15 minutes. We discussed the matter with the manager who was unapologetic and seemed like he really didn’t want to be bothered. Needless to say we left after 25 minute and will not be back until management at this store has been educated on customer service.

A small group of us came here on a weekday for lunch. They did not have a wait and they didn’t appear to be that busy. Our server and the hostess were both polite, but not very attentive. The food was mediocre at best and the service was so SLOW! We arrived around noon and didn’t get our food until 12:45! This is completely unacceptable. Not a single menu item should take that long to make. If the service hadn’t been so slow or even if we had been checked in on or given a reason why it was taking longer than usual an apology or any sort of acknowledgement, maybe more stars would have been given on this review, but leaving us with empty water glasses for what seemed like forever is absolutely ridiculous. I won’t be back to this location.

Really good. Got here because of great Unilocal reviews. I was admittedly nervous when I learned that all the sandwiches were on pita bread(not really my thing), but I was pleasantly surprised. I got the steak & cheese which was delicious, and then I tried my friend’s white bean and chicken soup, which was amazing! Finished it off with some bread pudding, which did not disappoint. And as always, serving Pepsi is always a plus!

I go to Olga’s because my daughter loves their soup. I wish the service was a tad quicker, but the staff is usually very nice. The smoothies are pricey, but the rest of the menu is average when it comes to price. They do have a good variety of food selections, but nothing really screams, «I can’t wait to get back here and have that again!»

According to my friends this place is sort of a Michigan staple. They have a special on their menu where you get unlimited soup, Greek salad, and THEIRFAMOUSSNACKERS. I would recommend that because its at a very reasonable price. You also get to choose between the peasant or broccoli cheddar soup. IMO, I liked the peasant soup better than the broccoli cheddar. And there are the snackers. They are delicious, savory and crispy. They serve them with a really tasty and nutty cheese spread. You should probably come here once in your lifetime for their snackers. Enough said.

OMG. I used to LOVE this place back in high school. My mom and I used to go and each have an original olga(yum, gyro-esk meat with veggies and secret sauce) with fries and a side of snackers with the swiss almond spread. Those snackers sure were addictive. Yum, brings back good memories.

If there is a single word to describe Olga’s, its definitely«Meh.» No, the food isn’t all bad, but it isn’t all that good either. Sure, being able to sit down in a booth at Woodland is nice(versus the food court), but it isn’t that special. Especially given the range of options that are immediately available outside of the mall. Really, my biggest gripe is the price. Paying $ 7+ for a chicken wrap is pretty outrageous, especially when I can go to the opposite side of the mall and get a lot more for my money. I’ve never understood the hype, but the girls love it. Make a first date spot, or something. Otherwise, I’d go somewhere else.

My friends said this Kitchen is Michigan’s own… Looking at the brochure. the founder did open her first restaurant in Birminghan, Michigan in1970. She has a secret recipe bread that they grill and serve with the sandwiches, soups, salads and sides… I had the Original Olga which is made of broiled, seasoned beef and lamb topped with fresh onions, tomatoes and the famous Olgasauce. all rolled in this special bread. A cup of Peasant chili… housemade recipe of vegetables, ground beef & lamb in a thick tomato broth. …Wow…very delicious indeed… We went back there for a snack yesterday to try their spinach pie and the Orange cream cooler… really deicious. Hope they’ll open one here in New York… soon.

If you should ever find yourself stuck in Woodland Mall, check out Olga’s. My mom has been taking me there since I was a wee lad. The Three-Cheese Olga will knock you out. Order it with extra Olga sauce(better than it sounds), a spinach pie, some pizza snackers, and an Orange Cooler Drink. You won’t be disappointed!
