Wonderful pies — especially lemon meringue! Great food — regardless of what you get tbh! We got the chicken pot pie(fabulous), tuna sandwich & coleslaw(Tuna was fabulous, homemade coleslaw was average), and the ham/cheese ciabatta sandwich with blueberry apple sauce(ham ciabatta needed a little extra mustard, but it was great! Blueberry applesauce was ok… It was good in fact). I would go back in a heartbeat… It’s not my first time having the lemon meringue pie either — which is exactly why we went back and we were fantastically surprised with all the delicious lunch choices that we got! Try it — you won’t regret regardless of what you choose.

The pie and cheesecakes here are so delicious! My favorite is the chocolate cream pie… Simply to die for! Also good is the chocolate chip cheesecake, but you have to order that one in advance. The apple pie is great too! Try it!

There is so much hype about this company having the best deserts(in particular pie), that I needed to try it, cause I LOVE pie. My first thing I have to comment on about this company is that they use LOCAL Michigan ingredients as often as they can, I think that’s A+++++. Location is easy to find, being close to the corner of East Beltline &28th Street. There is a decent amount of parking. Hours are good and gives most all time to stop in. Today I picked up: Peanut butter Bar, Pumpkin Bar, Turtle Cheesecake & Chocolate Chip cookie. The Peanut butter Bar is always tasty! It is the type of bar that has the crispies mixed in the peanut butter(so not a solid peanut butter), I generally don’t like it that way but it is good, then has a generous chocolate topping(hard not a sauce). The Pumpkin Bar, this is the second time I have had one and both were dry, blah! One thing I hate most is dry cake! Frosting was tasty but the dryness of the cake left me needing something to drink. I want a moist cake. The Turtle Cheesecake, the cheesecake part was thick and rich(the way I like it, don’t give me that fluffy cheesecake!) the topping came off in one bit(carmel), and the crust is WAY to thick for my liking. I don’t like a crust that is an inch thick! Otherwise it was decent. The Chocolate Chip Cookie, sadly nothing special here, pretty dry, flavor was ok, one of my kids wouldn’t eat it cause they didn’t like the taste(which never happens). So I was a bit sad about the quality here. I didn’t have the fruit pies today but I was given one before and I can say those are GREAT! I especially love the ones with the crumb topping(Lakeshore crumb berry is my favorite!) There are many different kinds to choose from(but they can run out fast so take note on what time you go!)! Be sure to sign up for their Pie Dough Club to earn points!!! The girl that personal helped me was kind, there was another gal in the store that seem a bit bossy and when I looked at her she didn’t even smile but rather gave me a dirty look as if I should have looked here way(she was helping a guy pack up food into the company vehicle, this was around 10:00am on 4÷15÷15). I have yet to try the food menu here, so once I do I will be sure to update! Would I go back, yes for the Fruit Pies & Peanut butter Bar.

Their name has pie in it. Good place to get pie. Sandwiches fillings are just ok, but the breads/wraps are actually pretty good. They cater: wish they offered something healthier in their boxed lunches instead of Lay’s chips. At minimum they should be using a local chip supplier since they are from Michigan. Tried the chicken pesto, not much pesto. Tried the tuna, was tuna-y. Had the peach pie, very tasty.

My work planned an early«Pi» day(3.14) celebration by having everyone bring in pies to share with the office. It’s a little cheesy, but for a day filled with pie, I’ll take it. Since I have the amazing bad luck of burning everything I intend to bring into the office, I saved myself the time and energy and just stopped into Grand Traverse to pick up a pie for this special day. I stopped in at 6pm on Thursday to get my pie for Friday. By that time, the pie selection was a little picked over, which I wasn’t surprised about — it was dinner time, after all. I grabbed the last Lemon Meringue pie and hoped that the meringue peaks would stay up until I brought it in the next day. Sure enough, the meringue stayed springy and tall and the pie was a citrus burst of lemon was a hit in the office. For another office day treat or a last minute dessert, I’ll remember to try Grand Traverse again.

This rating is mostly for the pie, although I have had dinner here and it was good. I love their pie. Recently they had 15 different kinds of pie, including favorites like apple, cherry, peace, blueberry, and various combinations. Many pies come in both a traditional pie topping or a crumb topping. My favorite was the blackberry peace with a crumb topping, although my family went nuts for the cherry. The fillings taste fresh and don’t have that syrupy taste that so many restaurant pies have. If you like pie, you need to give this place a try. There are multiple locations.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. The cookies were excellent but the lunch was lackluster. Noting special at all. I will try a pie at some point but this review is lunch affiliated.

This is a very outstanding sandwich and dessert shop. Someone told me it was like a Panera bread I argue it is much better than Panera bread not as healthy for you however. But a very good place to grab a sandwich salad and/or dessert the desert is out of this world.

If you are looking for a fantastic dessert pie, a great savory pot pie filled with veggies and juicy meats and a perfect flaky crust, great coffee and espresso drinks, and free high-speed wifi… Then this is your place. You won’t find a more delicious slice of cherry pie in west Michigan. Service can be lackluster at times, but I have never had a bad experience. Best of all — you can get just about anything on the menu to go. Want to be the hit of your next meeting or party? Just show up with one of these delicious pies! I know that anyone who would bring me a slice of this cherry pie would forever hold a place in my heart.

Absolutely the best pies,! Having been to the ”mother store” on Traverse City, I was excited to see this franchise open. I especially like their crumb topped pies warmed with a scoop of ice cream on the side. Also, their Key Lime pie is delicious! Best part is that this store is not located near my home or I’d weigh another hundred pounds heavier! Enjoy! Nom, Nom, Nom,!

Went into the restaurant for dinner on Tuesday 11-19-2013 at 6:15 pm, they had one old dried up quiche left that shouldn’t have even been left in the case. I passed on the pot pies as I guessed they were equally old. my sandwich was pretty good, my girlfriend said her vegetarian sandwich was awful. The blueberry pie was pretty good. several tables were dirty and no one ever came to ask us if we wanted them to take our dirty dishes. Sorry, but I don’t think anything was more than average

Best store bought cherry pie I have ever tasted! I’m a very good homemade pie maker so I think you can trust me on this one. The cherry pie is sooo good I’ve yet to buy any of their other pies or pastries. Lovely little quiches for breakfast as well as other breakfast and lunch offerings. Nice place for a change of pace breakfast or lunch. On 28th St. just west of the East Beltline on the south side of the street.

We have become fans of the breakfast sandwiches and wraps. They are the best easy breakfast food in town. Had to admit this but not being big pie fans, we had avoided the restaurant but wish we would have gone years ago. The only complaint I have is the quality of the coffee. We have been there 4 or 5 times now and have found their coffee to little more than colored water.

If you want pie, this is a pretty good place to get one. But if you want lunch or dinner, there are many other restaurants in Grand Rapids where you can get a lot more food and better quality for the money. For example: Their«pick 2» gets you a very small cup of soup or small salad and a sandwich so small you can eat it in 3 bites(no joking here). And the apple I got as a side item was so small, it made me laugh. In comparison, Panera Bread’s pick 2 gets you twice the sandwich and an actual cup of soup for the same price.

I want to eat everything here. The pumpkin bars are insanely amazing. And Large. They also have several Cherry Republic products. I got the cherry chutney, cherry salsa, and cherry BBQ sauce. I really wish I lived closer to this place. The club sandwich was pretty good but when I return I will concentrate on the pie. I wish I hadn’t spilled coffee all over myself when I was here. Clean bathrooms.

Oh baby, this is the place for pie. I had previously been to the original Grand Traverse Pie Company in Traverse City, where I first, tasted their pie a couple of years ago. So many pies that you can see– raspberry, peach, apple, cream, etcera., and they taste like the kind your grandma would make– not too sweet, warm goodness of it all. So imagine my surprise when I was driving down the road and saw a Grand Traverse Pie Company on 28th street! YES!!! I was overenjoyed. This time around though, I decided to try the sandwiches. I remember trying the food in the past. and remember how cute it was, as the sandwiches at the original location, actually came out on pie plates. This time, however, that did not happen(to my disappointment! Tis okay). I got the chicken pesto sandwich. The chicken was so moist, and the lettuce greens were so fresh… and the focaccia bread was good as well, although the salt on top of the bread was a tad too salty for my liking. My dad got some type of bacon sandwich. was really good as well, but the bread again, was a tad too salty. And then… with an entrée, if you buy a beverage, you can get a slice of pie for $ 1.89! What a steal! I had to get one. In the past, I’ve tried the Apple Caramel Dumpling(mm), the Grand Traverse Cherry Crumb(one of my friends claims it’s the best cherry pie they’ve ever had), Long Lake berry cherry, and Lakeshore Berry Crumb. This time I got a coffee(Michigan cherry flavored. mm), and the Tall Ship Blackberry Peach Crumb pie. They warmed it up. and man, it was GOOD. So good. I’ve never been a huge fan of the actual food at Grand Traverse Pie Company, but oh man, the PIE is amazing. You gotta try it… at least once. :)
