Excellent dining experience! This is real Italian! I recommend the Noto’s Cannelloni, it is epic! You can’t go wrong here, this is by far Grand Rapid’s finest Italian restaurant. Tom Noto is a most hospitable host, you will love this place.

No restaurant is perfect. However, I brought my wife, for her 50th birthday, along with my children and found the dinner experience disappointing. Our bill was $ 165 for four people, inexpensive, given the fact many entrees were priced higher than we ordered. Our food was a mixed bag. Some dishes tasted freshly prepared and others tasted dry, and microwaved from a cold refrigerator. An example, The Cannelloni Della Casa was dry and had no baked Mozzarella on top? The Chef forgot the Mozzarella and I doubt it was baked. The wine selection was good. The servers were polite and the owner gracious, and I would definitely give this restaurant another try… but the food prep needs improvement.

Took forever to get our food. My wife ordered perch and got walleye. Not a huge deal but she had to pick through bones, as you don’t have to with perch fillets.

The other weekend, my friend’s and I kicked it here a world-class old world italian dining experience. When I entered, I felt like family as they served us all sorts of Italian foods. I quickly, started feeling less and less like family as I realized they did not have breadstick sandwiches, or all you can eat salad. Shortly after, I realized I wasn’t actually in an Olive Garden. But they still treated me like family. The best part is, because I wasn’t at Olive Garden, the food was actually good! Anyone who doesn’t like olives and or gardens should eat here.

Amazing experience. Personal tour from the owner of the wine cellar with over 12,000 bottles of wine.

Worst experience of my entire life. Awful bartender and ruder owners!!! Accusing me of less wine knowledge then their sister, another owner. I have my sommelier license and know when a bottle is corked! Asked me of me by tony, one of the owners, if he was«on a tv show» food was disgusting, wine was terrible and all around it was a degrading experience!!!

Notos has something special in its cooking, depth of flavor and especially if you combine it with their wine pairings. The food is hand cooked, home cooked. Most people head here for special events but it is a beautiful venue for weddings or other events since there is a cellar in the basement. Try the Gnocchi or other old world Italian dishes and you won’t be disappointed. Lounge is pretty cool too and features a few different artists.

What an experience! Excellent service, great food, and at reasonable prices. I will definitely be back.

Very friendly service. The food on the whole was a disappointment. Expected a good bread to begin the meal. Disappointed with the biscuity cheese bread over-cooked on the bottom. Would have appreciated a good French or Italian bread. But the real disappointment was the pasta with cheese and lobster. The pieces of lobster were tough and tasted fishy, giving the whole dish an off flavor. Two of the four pasta dishes were good. The desserts were very good. And the service was excellent. But for the price, quite disappointed.

I really love this place! We had our wedding here and the service, attention and food was so great. Each time we dine the family stops over and says hi which is a nice touch. I love the canellinni(spelling) because it has great flavor. The steak is great but there is a breaded chicken thigh that is really spectacular. If you go with your family I highly recommend family style so everyone can share and enjoy. This place is old world so expect a quieter dining room with good food and wine. A great place to have a different surrounding than the normal loud restaurants.

Not the place to go. The food is not very good. I have talked to a few other people and they have said the same thing. Not like it use to be! Save your money and go to another place.

Outstanding Italian. Not cheap. Not crazy expensive. Most entrees between $ 25-$ 30 Simple pasta dishes $ 16 — $ 21. Appetizers $ 8-$ 12 Wine list has over 1000 choices. Yes… ONETHOUSAND. Wine Spectator Award of Excellence My Veal Marsala was great as was my wife’s Hazelnut Crusted Walleye Best place in GR for a special night out for Italian I had three members of the family stop to make sure we were satisfied and thank us for our business. Portions are not huge but not skimpy. We skipped the apps and just had the entrees and a bottle of wine and was perfectly content.

We had a Groupon deal for this restaurant, and we decided to try it again after a couple years. I got the house salad, which was lettuce, tomatoes, and a creamy dressing. It was good, but definitely not worth the price. For main course, I created my own pasta. I got fettuccine with tomato vodka cream sauce and I added primavera veggies to it. The veggies were diced very small making it so they didn’t add much flavor to the dish. The pasta was cooked well, but the tomato sauce was a little bland. Overall, I was a little disappointed. For 20 dollars, I expect a lot more from a pasta dish. Next was dessert. I got the flourless chocolate torte, which was served with a scoop of gelato and an assortment of berries. The waitress warned me that it was going to be pretty rich, and it was. It was so good though! It was definitely my favorite part of the meal. I would say this about the restaurant: it’s very expensive, traditional(both in atmosphere and food preparation), and not really worth the price. I would come back again with a Groupon deal, but I would never pay full price for a meal here.

The food was delicious, however, I was with a party of 8, and we were there 2.5 hours. We got in right at 6 because we had reservations, but we didn’t order every course even offered and it still took this long. Like I said, the food was delicious, but due to cost and how long our visit was(not sure if our server was bad or this is normal?) I probably wouldn’t go back.

My fiancé and I decided to go to Noto’s after reading some good reviews. We didn’t have a reservation so we were seated in the bar/lounge which was fine with us. We waited a while for the server to show up and we he did he had all the presence of a Burger King drive through attendant. This should have been a sign of things to come. To keep it short, amateur service with food that is a complete ripoff. Two hours of my life that I regret terribly. Zero stars

I can’t make any comment on the food because we were never served. We were never even spoken to after being seated. The hostess sat us, gave us our menus and wine list. The place was empty with only five tables being occupied. We counted five servers. For 15 minutes, they continued to walk by us as we read over the menu. Nobody came to say hello, bring water or anything. After the 15 minutes, we just got up and left. Sad, we were excited to try the food.

I got a Groupon for here a few months ago, and it was a treat to have dinner at a more upscale restaurant. The server was attentive and chose some great wines when we ordered a flight and said«Surprise us!» Unfortunately, though, the food just wasn’t great. We had the Mozzarella al Forno, a seasonal soup, a salad with pepper dressing, a ravioli dish, and a scallop dish. The scallop dish was the only one i would order again. We got two desserts with the Groupon, and the waiter graciously packaged them up and let us take them home. This was a VERY nice touch.

Attended an intimate wedding ceremony and reception dinner in the wine cellar space over the weekend. I was impressed with the presentation of the food and wine for each course. Food was good and servers were attentive. I would love to rate Notos higher but I found it offensive that Notos double booked the space by having a birthday party in the same dining room area as the wedding dinner. It was tacky and disrespectful to the wedding event. If someone’s having a wedding let them have the entire room. Not to mention, it must have been awkward for the other people to sit in the same room as a wedding party. Talk about wedding crashing!

So I started with the Mozzarella Al Forno, mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto and baked. The prosciutto was dried out and ruined. It was served with tomato and basil salad… Bring you magnifying glass, it should have been called micro salad. The main course wasn’t much better. Melanzane Alla Parmigiana(a.k.a. Veal Parm). The dish was left in the broiler too long and not only was the cheese burned, but the sauce was dried out. The interior looked nice, that’s about all I can say positive for this place. I’m being kind giving it 3 stars.

I was honestly torn between 2 and 3 stars for my review here but I am giving them the benefit of the doubt… I had the pollo marscapone and unfortunately the best part was the veggies that came with my meal. The chicken seemed a bit overcooked — it shouldn’t NEED the marscapone to make it just ok — and the mashed potatoes were just potatoes, I have made better at home. The person I was with had linguini with pesto. I tried a bite of that and it was really good — that is why they got 3 instead of 2 stars quite frankly. We split the taramisu also and it was pretty good. Not something I would crave but I would get it again for sure. I would eat here again but get pasta, definitely not the chicken another time!

on se croirait en pleine Italie, époque romaine: stylish !! Aux Etats-Unis, la cuisine italienne est considérée comme la plus raffinée, donc, c’est cher; dommage !!
