Just plain and nothing special for the price. Keep searching for better. The subs have too much bread and not enough meats, salad has too little dressing but large. Cookies are nothing special. Move on!

Would like to give 0 stars. This place is beyond terrible on the aspect of customer service… pizza is good but you can get good pizza from a lot of different places. Everyone who works here, unless it’s the same girl I talked to(or didn’t talk to on account of they stop answering the phone 40 min prior to closing). The lady working is very rude and makes it seem like you are a pain in her *** for wanting a pizza from a pizza place! LOL, don’t even try the«late night» because the time given for delivery is 2 hours, or maybe that is just so you cancel the order so they do not have to work… called frattellis same night and it was here in 30 min, I also love across the street from GRPD but will never try again… gave them 4 chances and I’m OUT!

Ugh, so good. The only pizza I’ve ever had from here has been pineapple and jalapeño with BBQ sauce. It’s honestly the best pizza i’ve had in this city. On another note, they do not deliver to my house because they consider the area to be «dangerous.» Leads me to believe that they haven’t driven south beyond Wealthy since the 80’s, but whatever. Picking up always ensures a hot pizza anyway. It’s worth a try, trust me. Don’t let all these low stars fool you– they DO make fantastic pizza. Just pick it up.

After receiving HORRIBLE service last night. I called GRPD to advise of the terrible and rude staff. The«manager» sabrina said that there is nothing she can really do about bad service or rude staff. It is what it is. Bottom line bad service, rude staff and OVERPRICEDPIZZA. Never order from here. This place deserves NO stars.

About a week ago, I found myself in between Dr.‘s appointments and asked an employee at the hospital where a nearby decent place to eat was. She quickly recommended Grand Rapids Pizza Depot endorsing their subs. First, about your reviewer, since any review is only as accurate and useful as the man who pens it. For what it’s worth, I’ve cooked professionally for about a decade now and have been responsible for making sure my kitchen consistently puts out quality food. Also, relevant to this review, most of my life I’ve lived in northern NJ where many Italians have settled and as a result the pizza is much better than it is in West Michigan. I wasn’t really in the mood for a sub this cold gloomy afternoon so I decided to get a couple slices. I asked for 2 plain slices and was told they only have what’s on display in the electric heater. I picked out a pepperoni slice to start with. My first slice was luke warm at best so my second slice I asked for them to please heat it. This seemed like a perfectly reasonable request that at least back east, in NJ — the heartland of Italians and, hence, good pizza — this is standard practice. Though the gentleman on the other side of the counter seemed and acted baffled by the seemingly simple request. His first instinct was to commit a major faux pas as he grabbed the slice and started roaming over towards the microwave. I saw what he was up to and politely asked him to please throw the slice in the oven as I really was not in the mood to eat a crust that was rubbery. The only time I ever even thought about using a microwave to heat pizza was when I used to wake up hung over with left over pizza and out of desperation for immediate calories I used the microwave. My request for him to use the pizza oven further bewildered him. He then spent a couple minutes analyzing the situation and ultimately decided on carefully tearing a small piece of aluminum foil to put under the pizza slice. I’m not sure why this was so confusing as back east they just take the slice throw it directly on the floor of the 700 degree pizza oven and then take it out 3 minutes later and behold — a perfectly sizzling hot slice of pizza that if the recipient were not careful the hot oil and cheese would burn the roof of his/her mouth. I left the decision to use tin foil alone as I didn’t want to sound pushy. About 2 minutes later he pulled the slice out and he proudly served it to me. The slice was slightly hotter than luke warm. They must either not use a pizza oven, a problem I’ve found in West Michigan, or just not had the oven turned up to proper pizza cooking temperatures(700 degrees minimum). Either way I didn’t want to demoralize the poor man responsible for the simple task of heating a slice of pizza so I quietly ate my second slice, drank my fountain drink, thanked the employees, and left the store respectively. I will say that through the entire slice affair the employee that served me was friendly and polite the entire time. From the other reviews and my unfortunate experience it seems that a whole pizza may be the way to go. Also, according to the hospital employees the subs are a good bet as well. I have several more Dr.‘s appointments so I look forward to trying their subs and providing additional reviews here.

I enjoyed their pizza. I have had a standard pepperoni and also their alfredo and both were good. A word of advice though, do not use their online ordering. The only 2 times I have had my credit card info stolen coincide with the only two times I have ordered online from them. Could easily be a coincidence but I am not testing that.

Ordered pizza online and it was supposed to take 20 minutes to be delivered. After 45 minutes I decided to call to make sure my order went through. The girl said that my pizza had just left the restaurant. I live literally 2 minutes away, after another 20 minutes my pizza arrived-cold. Never again.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place yet. When I lived a block away from them, this was my go-to for a quick, hot meal – loved the BBQ chicken sub. I work downtown, and this is a frequent choice for us when we order food in. I’m a huge fan of their cheesy breadsticks(so wrong, but oh so right). Also love the LAPD pizza. I’ve heard people complain about their service and delivery. I’ve personally always ordered takeout and have had decent service, though they aren’t particularly warm and fuzzy. I know that we’ve had to wait quite a while for deliveries when ordering from work, but at the same time we’re often putting in a large order so I don’t know if there is really a legit complaint there.

GRPD has some of the best pizza, subs, and salads in town. Made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, there is no bad choice on their cop-themed menu. When it comes to tasty pizza, these guys are the authority. The website for online ordering is a bit antiquated and I have heard mixed reviews about the delivery service, but pickup has always been smooth and easy for me. Plus, they sell Faygo pop in multiple sizes… Which I am convinced is the best pop out there(and not just because I’m terribly biased in favor of Michigan-based companies). You have the right to remain silent — and you’ll be too busy stuffing your face with hot pizza to even think about incriminating yourself. Enjoy!

Very unimpressed with the quality of food, as well as the speed of delivery. Ordered a 14″ Pan Crust, the pizza arrived about an hour later lukewarm at best. The slices fell apart and the cheese separated because the pizza wasn’t cut through all the way. Stick to Fratellis on Bridge Street for late night pizza delivery.

Grand Rapids is not known for its pizza — but from a taste standpoint, GRPD is one of the best pies in town. It’s flavorful, NY-style pizza that doesn’t skimp on ingredients and has better than average sauce. That said, they should remove the ‘D’ from their name and they are in sore need of an ‘S’. Their delivery is a joke. The last three times I’ve ordered, it’s arrived *cold* 30 – 45 minutes PAST the time time they estimated when ordered. I could have walked there from Eastown and back faster with a warmer pie. So, I’ve resorted to sticking to ordering takeout, thinking that I’ve got kids to feed, I don’t need to waste time relying on a flaky delivery driver. Boy, how wrong was I? And that’s where the ‘S’, which stands for Service, is missing. To call the staff brusque would be polite. To call them attentive would just be plain wrong. This last time will probably be my last forever. I arrived on time(«Ready in 15 – 20 minutes»), paid 25 minutes from my phone call, and then received my pizzas 45 minutes from the time of order. And only then because I asked two times before the clueless staff realized my pizzas were sitting there in the warmer box the entire time.

My gf and I recently visited the GRPD and were very happy with our meals. I ordered a standard, deluxe pizza that had very fresh ingredients and a tasty sauce. The freshness and the generous amount of ingredients are noteworthy. My gf had the gluten-free crust and was pleasantly surprised. Also, the customer service was very good as one of the owner’s was more than happy to answer our questions. We will be back.

Ordered delivery($ 2.00 delivery fee.) My beau loved the pizza. I thought it was OK, but not my favorite. We got one of the stuffed pizzas. I typically prefer thin crust w/light sauce so the stuffed was obviously not going to be my favorite, but I was catering to a sick beau and let him order what he wanted(including black olives. Yuck,) Next time we’ll order what I want. I can see the potential for greatness is there if there wasn’t so much crust and sauce. There is a LOT of sauce on the stuffed pizza. I literally couldn’t taste anything other than sauce. Delivery was fast; faster than quoted.

Good pizza. GRPD is set apart by the freshness and variety of its ingredients, and its crust. Veggies are colorful, with good flavor, and the meats are generous and well trimmed(chicken especially). The cheese tends to be a bit heavy and greasy. Good variety of sauces — the honey jalapeño is messy but delicious! The standard GRPD pie is built on a chewy, medium-thick, semi-sweet crust baked in a conveyor oven. If you’re particular about brick-oven pies or thin and crunchy crusts, you might not care for the pizza here, but chewy crust fans will enjoy it. In addition to pizza, GRPD does good breadsticks and sandwiches, as well as dessert pies. The owners are often behind the counter and take great pride in their store. And true to its name, GRPD officers can often be found here on their lunch or dinner breaks. Overall: Good food at a fair price. Definitely worth a stop.

Got take-out for our 1st time. Mentioned the online coupon for 18″ 3 topping for $ 15.49. Order-taker lady was nice. Pickup was on time at 20 min. Crust was COOKED! Sauce was really good. Toppings were quality. Mushrooms were fresh — and cooked well in the oven. The pie was a winner for our family. We will be back, even though we’ll be passing 2 or 3 other pizza places to do so.

Poor Customer Service Here! Had a coupon for 50% off one item for pick up only. Called at 10:55pm on Thursday, they close at 11:00. I was told they could not do pick up but they decided to accept the coupon for delivery. So what I was getting was $ 14.95 with the discount around $ 7.50. The web site says they need a min order for delivery of $ 8 suddenly the girl taking my order changes the min to $ 10 and wants me to order more items. We did not do the order and instead spent more at Mr. Pizza. You loose GRPD, we will stick with Mr. Pizza from now on.

Dear God. This place is so good I can’t even handle it. This is no joke. One time, my hang over called and ordered an LAPD Veggie, well done, extra sauce, double cut with two slices pepperoni only ANDTHEYDIDIT. They didn’t even try to talk us out of it. Now, more recently to their credit, my boyfriend called them AFTERHOURS and the owner personally made our food and even explained their bonus rewards system. As far as I am concerned, GRPD is the only restaurant I will ever need. I want them to cater my weddings AND my funeral + all other special events in between. I performed some online research about this wonderful place and discovered they source their ingredients locally. I guess some guy was like, «Hey, you should source your ingredients locally,» and the owner was just like, «OK.» That was it. Their ranch isn’t house made. I don’t know what it is but I know a lady who buys«future ranch» when she orders from there just because it’s so great. She wants to eat it like soup ANDSODO I. It’s so good, if anyone has anything bad to say about this local pizza place, they can do it over my dead body. I will not allow trash talk about GRPD, not now, not ever. Thank you for giving birth to me, parents. You gave me the privilege of eating this divine, wonderful, amazing gift known as GRPD Pizza. Don’t settle for anything less than perfection.

I bought a Living Social coupon for Grand Rapids Pizza and Delivery. On the coupon, it clearly says that they delivery within a 5 mile radius, but they would not deliver to my location, which is 2.8 miles from their location. I happen to live near Alger Heights, all of which is within their 5 mile radius, all of which is nice, and both an employee and the manager said they wouldn’t deliver south of Franklin, which is only a block and a half south of their location, «for safety reasons.» So much for Pizza and Delivery — don’t bother if you actually want your pizza delivered.
