This is by far one of my favorite book stores in Grand Rapids. Their store was recently remodeled so the layout is nice and clean. They have a really nice selection of hard to find new and used books available which are categorized nice and clear. I’ve never tried the coffee shop here, so I have no comment there, but it always Ella good.

Not my typical restaurant review, but had a chance to stop by here for some coffee and to kill some time before heading back to campus. Awesome bookstore, very well maintained. Christian bookstore too and they have a huge selection of books from what I saw in my trip to the bathroom(which was also very clean.) I actually hung out near the café area and talked a whole bunch. It is really nicely set up with a booth style area, high chairs, a bunch of couches, and several leather arm chairs that are very comfortable. As for the café food, I drank the Aztec Chai Latte which was by far one of the best drinks I have ever had. Prices are modest and the coffee is also good. The workers are very kind and enjoy working there, and so if you want really good coffee/tea, along with a place to just hang/study/talk, then this is an awesome place to be! Check it out!

OHLORD I LOVETHISPLACE! If I lived in GR, I would be in danger of going bankrupt. Actually, I would probably just love it a little less if I lived in GR. But this place is seriously LEGIT! And I don’t use that word lightly! They’ve got every Christian book you could think of, not to mention that since they expanded they added a more extensive café and a larger EVERYTHING. Except… bible study. it’s still the teensie two rows. But that’s okay I guess.(Baker people, if you’re reading this, please expand the bible study section!!!) I also love perusing their used book section. It’s not always the best deal but they have a wide array of books. Organized alphabetically by author. I think also with the expansion they widened the aisles which makes it less claustrophobicy, as well as less musty. Any lover of Christian books should just GO and check it out! Make sure you give yourself ample time though. This last time I went was the first time I went with friends(usually I go either alone or with my brother) and they had to quite literally drag me out. Baker Book House, thank you for existing. You make the world a little brighter. LOVELOVELOVE!

They have recently remodeled this store and it is pretty nice! There is an area for the kids to play while you browse and plenty of spots to sit and explore your purchase or possible purchases throughout the store. They have a decent café and a cool listening station where you can sample a ton of different artists and create your own lists. They have a stage area where I got to see one of my favorite authors, Ted Dekker, and have some of my books autographed . Staff is very friendly and they often have coupons & groupons to make the deals even better!
