The chicken must have been from a can. The salsa bar was disgusting and dirty. After eating here, I became sick for three days.

Ehhh. had this spot bookmarked for awhile. It was quite a dissapointment. First off– almost all the tiles were dirty. We had to clean one off on our own so we could sit. There was a family of 6 at another table, and a 3 people in line ahead of us, so I wouldn’t call it busy. When we made it to the counter to order the lady was on the phone taking call in orders. She tried taking our order at the same time, but not wanting our meals to be mixed up we offered to wait. After she was done on the phone she started taking our order– but then the phone rang again. Instead of asking the caller to hold, she made us wait again. We ordered our food finally and sat down to wait. I did like all the salsa options– including a large molcajete full of roasted salsa. The bar with all the others however was so messy that most of them were mixed. Reminded me of the one at taco cabana. The tacos were bland to me, they needed alot of doctoring. We tried carnitas, pastor, chicken, fajita, and barbacoa. We also got a total with milanesa. The milanesa was very thin and crispy– but it had more breading than meat. We had the Agua de Sandia(watermelon juice) and it was pretty good, but the rest of the meal was a let down. The lack of service and cleanliness of the restaurant will prevent me from returning.

Great little taco place! I ordered 2 tacos(chicken and pork) and they were awesome. My fiancé ordered the burrito and he said it was great too! They have tons of salsa to choose from. I especially liked the fresh tortilla chips!

This place is defiantly worth trying! The inside is very clean and the menu is very decorative and neat. There’s many options to choose from and the prices are very cheap. I got the barbacoa burrito($ 5.50), I thought it comes with a side of beans and rice but was inside the burrito which was good, but you can always ask for it on the side. The tacos($ 1.60 each) were well seasoned and good. Did i mention how many different sauces there is?! There’s even a description of the sauces and how spicy it is.

I’ve been back twice this week for tacos. The first time was for Taco Tuesday. I had an Al Pastor, a Fajita, a Bistec, a Carnitas, and a Pollo. I think the beef ones were a little over cooked, as the meat seemed a little more tough. But, they were all good. I went back today with some coworkers and had two Camaron, two Carnitas, and two Discada. They were all excellent. I’ll probably skip the Camaron next time, because of the price vs. meat ratio. Almost twice as expensive, but less meat than the other tacos had in them. A nice flavor, but I’ll probably skip those next time. :) I like that they don’t dump everything ON the tacos when they make ‘em. They assemble the tortillas with the meat and put the sides. on the side. Cilantro, onion, slices of lime, and a roasted jalapeño. Add as much or as little as you want. Oh, yeah! They have a serve-yourself salsa bar. They all tasted good, but some were more spicy than others.(I forget which were which, though.) I finished up with two Churros, which I believe was a new experience for me. Crunchy on the outside, with sugar on the outside. The inside was kind of doughy/creamy. I think there was some type of thick sauce in there, but I’m not sure of the flavor. I liked the Churros, though. I’ll be back, for sure!

Wow. Excellent food. Had the 3 taco plate, with rice and beans(the rice has peas in it for those with allergies like myself). While the carnitas and fajita beef were incredible, I found the chorizo a tad lackluster. The chips and salsas were fantastic, although I liked the green salsa, made from avocado and serrano pepper, and the cream-colored salsa best; hot, but full of flavor. My fiancée really enjoyed her fajita beef torta as well. We will definitely be frequent customers.

Wow! Drove into the parking lot and walked in expecting to be completely underwhelmed. I was literally overwhelmed! Proverbial«hole-in-the-wall taco joint»…but the food and the service were amazing! I had carnitas pork tacos with beans and rice and an order of chips and guacamole. Tried everything on the salsa bar… absolutely delicious! The tacos KILL all the places like Torchy’s and Fuzzy’s! Chips and guacamole were fantastic, as well! I read another review that mentioned«icky» tables. I found this to be true and it almost cost them a «star»…but the quality and freshness and deliciousness of the food made it more than OK to wipe down my own table with a napkin. I’ll definitely be back. I need to try ALL the tacos: Al Pastor Fajita Bistec Lengua(yep: beef to gue!) Chorizo Discada Tripitas(yep: beef stomach!) Carnitas Barbacoa Pollo Camaron

Loved the tables and decorations! I ordered tacos al pastor and fajita, I added cheese to them the fajita were delicious! The pastor meat was not really all that, and a bit too spicy. The chicken burrito was good, but a bit too watery. I fell in love with the fresas con crema they were great!

My first visit to Guanataco left a bad taste in my mouth, not because of the food but because of the actions of an employee. Well, one Saturday morning I was in the mood for breakfast burritos and ran across a picture of a chorizo breakfast burrito after looking at Guanataco’s pictures on here. As a Unilocaler I always try to give businesses at least two chances to win me over. Plus I really wanted a breakfast burrito so off to Guanataco I went. When I walked in, I found the breakfast menu and discovered that I had beat the 11 am deadline so I was good to go. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and headed over to the salsa bar. Usually I go for the green salsa because it’s delicious but this time I opted for the chimichurri sauce because it sounded interesting. Once I put it on my burrito, I was sold. That sauce was soooo good, I will probably never eat the green salsa again. The burrito itself wasn’t bad(it was actually quite tasty), just a tad greasy. The greasiness was soaked up by napkins but I didn’t understand why it was that way. Overall, my second experience at Guanataco was much better than my first and I will be back on Saturday mornings for breakfast burritos with chimichurri sauce. Nom nom.

This place was not what I expected ATALL. By far the nicest«ghetto taco» restaurant I’ve been to lol. The guy at the cashier is super cool and the food is amazing! He recommended the tripe and Lengua tacos and those were fantastic. My go-to authentic Mexican cuisine

Décor: 3⁄5 –Decent amount of tables and seating –Self-serve salsa bar and drinks –Tables aren’t cleaned often so its a bit icky Service: 3.5÷5 –Credit card accepted, $ 5 minimum –Food can seem a bit slow but that’s cause people order alot of food Food: 3⁄5 –Tacos($ 1.60): Al Pastor, Bistec, Lengua, Barbacoa — was less than stellar and would not get in the future.(2⁄5) –Tortas: Cubana($ 7.99), Discada($ 5.99) — the discada was my favorite, the cubana was a close second. I love the flavor bomb and the toasted buns.(5⁄5) –Elotes — too creamy, not enough corn, very spicy paste!(2⁄5)

Got the Fajita Alambres and chips w/Queso. The Alambres was good, I liked that they added a bit of Bacon, however I wish that they added some side options with it such as the limes, cilantro, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed all the choice of Salsas they had. I tried the Pineapple n Habanero and the Salsa Chimichurri. The Pineapple n Habanero is a great mix for those whom enjoy sweet and spicy. The Salsa Chimichurri however was my favorite! I have to say though, I was very disappointed with the chips and Queso. It felt as if they took a jar of Tostitos Cheese and poured it into a bowl and heated it up. It was lacking in flavor and impression. I do not recommend the Queso but the food is worth a try.

Had the Chorizo(pork sausage) I love this stuff. Lingua(cow tongue) very flavorful and tender. Grew up eating it. And the Camaron(shrimp) The salsas were all worth a try. The pineapple habejero was gear and whatever homemade salsa they have fermenting in the stone cauldron had an awesome flavor but a tad on the hot side for me

If you’re not afraid of spice(and I’m not) you’ll LOVE this place. I could do an order of chips and spend the day sampling all the varieties of tasty salsa at their salsa bar. This is street style Mexican food in an unassuming strip mall. I had the chicken enchiladas verde. The chicken meat was good, but the green sauce stole the show. Perfectly spicy and tangy. If you like guacamole that’s fresh, chunky and tasty make a stop here. I was working near this location so it’s a little out of the way from home but I may make a run over there soon for the guac. On the wall a sign reads«Love, peace and taco grease». Indeed.

I was so exited to try this place after seeing so many awesome reviews. While it was very good, I was a tad bit let down. I ordered the bistec quesadillas, first bite I was in heaven… I’m not sure what kind of cheese they use in but it was gooey and awesome. Maybe it’s because we sat outside, but as the food got cold the meat kind of dried up and became chewy. What’s really cool about this place is the salad bar. They have a huge variety of different flavors to try, as well as a pineapple salsa. They are definitely doing something right… there is tons of traffic in and out of this place! At first we were the only ones in line ordering, when I turned around there was a huge line waiting almost out the door. The place packed up pretty quick and I watched many to go orders fly out to the door. The menu is pretty big, so if you’re a new comer I suggest you look at the menu online before you go. We kind of panic ordered because we didn’t want to keep the long line waiting. I definitely want to go back and try new things, they have breakfast too!

I enjoyed Guanataco, they make great tacos and have plenty of quality sauces to choose from(6 to be exact: 3 medium and 3 hot). I had the taco plate that came with 3 tacos of my choice, rice and beans, and cilantro and onions on the side. I don’t like places that throw on the dressing, I was glad they were on the side. The fajita tacos were good. If you like tacos and need a fix try them out. I also tried the barbacoa, not sure if they pulled from the top but it was a little dry. Still flavorful though and satisfying. I like hot sauce hot. The salsa verde was my favorite. The red was good too. I also tried their pineapple and habanero sauce, which seemed like a favorite due to what was left in the pan. I was expecting a good kick with the hanabero but it never came. Instead I tasted a lot of pineapple which made the bite sweet. Not something I was looking for. It was an interesting flavor though. This location is very clean for a standalone. They have a big menu of other stuff I look forward to trying in the future.

I love that these tacos aren’t too greasy! They’re not stingy on the meat, either! Great selection of hot sauces at the salsa bar that are labeled with the ingredients, spicy level, and which tacos goes best with each sauce. The meat was seasoned well, and the tortillas didn’t fall apart. They have a pretty extensive menu, but I have only really tried their tacos. My favorite is the lengua for sure. I ordered the chips and queso last time because I’m a queso fan, but it was way too thick and it was barely warm. I’ll pass on the queso, but I’ll still be back for more tacos. Maybe I’ll try the tortas and burritos, too. I really want to try their breakfast burritos, as well. They look delicious!

LOVETHISPLACE! This place taste as good as the hole in the wall places. Very clean and the manager is very nice, explaining different foods they have to offer. They also have a salsa bar which is superb and very delicious. Different types of salsa for everyone. The price is good as well! I recommend this place!
