I hate this restaurant. The service is horrible, they always leave something out of my bag or try to sell me cold food. I always wait a long time and the employees are always talking to each other instead of helping the customers. The only reason I still go here is because occasionally I’m tired and need quick food. I live very close to it but EVERYSINGLETIME, I regret it. I’ve even called me their district manager on them a few times. Nothing ever changes…

Food is not fresh and it just taste like they never change out their grease. I’ve had more than my fair share of cold food items from here, and serving cold food doesn’t help the saltiness at all. Won’t be back!

Don’t understand all the negative reviews. I come here weekly or bi-weekly and have never had any issues. Had the #1 Combo — Chicken Strips, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Biscuit, Sweet Tea. All were delicious. Price is good and service was quick.

Been to this location a few times. The food is ok but i advise checking your order because they will more likely then not forget something. I mean fast food is fast food so at the end of the day to comes down to the service but it shouldn’t be that difficult to get an order right… see an item on the screen, make sure that item goes into the box, cmon guys its not rocket science

Watched at the drive through window as an employee dropped my box, picked it up, put into a bag. Asked if mine to the lady and she said yes, asked for manager, told him what I saw and he quickly changed the entire order. Been here day one when they opened and thought about giving another chance, not going back.

This place is the worst!!! I’ve been there a few times and I always say I’ll never go back but unfortunately I did. Well this was the last time. As always I was very clear when placing my order and knew from previous problems to have them repeat it back to me. When the order was finally handed to me, again as I have learned before, I took everything out of the bag and checked it and not surprisingly the order was wrong. In addition to that the tenders weren’t even fully cooked. I properly took it back to the counter and ask for my money back. The«manager» if you want to call him that looked it everything and said it looked fine to him. So I challenged him to eat it at which point he refused and without even offering to correct it he refunded my money. I’ll never go back. If you are stupid enough to go there you deserve what you receive.

I use to visit this location often. … until I got food poisoning! This location is not busy and they let the food sit out too long :-(

All right now, overall I’ve always liked the Chicken Express places. Most are the same, pretty well exact, which you would expect since they’re a franchise with the HQ nearby. Chicken has always been pretty well cooked. I’ll get white meat combo’s, tenders, and the hot wings, which are largely unknown apparently by the masses, but everyone I know who tries them loves them, and that includes me. Not a fan of the fries, because of taste, just don’t care for them which is a personal thing more of a statement. I usually end up getting okra, because they know how to overcook it just the right amount and it’s nice and crunchy. Don’t know about everyone else, but chewy breaded okra sucks. The tenders are usually on the larger side, the gravy is bland as most fast food places, but a little mixed in Tony Chachere puts it right. If I don’t have any around to mix in, I won’t get the tenders. Biscuits are good, maybe a little dry, but I’m not a fan of the Chicken Express rolls. The hot wings… oh yea, the hot wings. Not sure what I can say, but I prefer these over most all places. Just a fried hot wing, with some kind of pre-batter’ing on it or whatever. Kinda sure these are ready to go packed frozen, and they just throw them in the fryer, since pretty sure I saw em’ doing it at least a couple of times. Another giveaway is you always gotta wait for em. Maybe they don’t sit well under heat lamps. I dunno, I don’t care. This location has the sad distinction of being the only one to ever give me ALLWINGLETS the other day though. If they did it because it’s all they had, I understand, but they should have mentioned it. If not, then shame shame. From now on I see I’ll always have to get a clarification when I order to make sure they don’t do it again! Anyway, I go back and forth on the wings versus everything else here. Good news is since there are several things here I like, when I get burned out on one, I just move to the other. Need to try the catfish, but there’s another place with great cheap catfish I go to at the moment, so it may be awhile before I get around to it here.

This location is just ok. Chicken Express is still good even when it’s bad… but it shouldn’t ever be bad. It’s hard to mess up fried food. This location manages to do it though. Their oil is not hot enough, either that or they overcrowd the fryers resulting in soggy fries and soft breading on the chicken. The Chicken E near my home in Dallas gets it right every time… super hot and crispy. Otherwise, the restaurant itself is new and clean… the employees are friendly… it’s convenient for a quick lunch. If they raised their oil temp or put less in the fryers at a time they’d be KILLINIT. I kinda hope they don’t because I really don’t need to be eating there for lunch all the time. *pats tummy*

I bet this location isn’t the exact one I went to, but nevertheless. Dear Chicken Express, thanks for introducing me to fried pickles. As a California native who has never stepped foot in Texas for 21 years until the summer of 2013, the idea seemed monstrous until I tried your sliced, tangy and greasy delicacies. Cos you know, we Californians are totally into our gluten-free sushi and coconut water and other bourgie things that people think we Californians eat cos we have Hollywood and the ocean. How ’bout that GMO labeling, huh?(For the record, prop 37 got rejected. But this is why other states make fun of us.) Because of fried pickles, I have found more ways to sabotage my diet. Like seriously, if I haven’t discovered fried pickles, I could save myself at least 500 calories in the future. But no, it doesn’t work like that. The more vulnerable you are, the more you are likely to get hurt.(This analogy totally applies to food okay) If there’s one thing I took from my experience in Texas, it’s fried pickles. Not even bbq, rodeos, or love. I’ll come back for you one day, quite possibly when I’m old and grey. (Or when you open a franchise in Southern California.)

Cant ever go wrong, they will shut your mouth with more chicken before you can complain! haha. if you go to chicken express alot and you count the amount you have, you will understand. the chicken here is moist and juicy. the sides are so good. corn nuggets are delish along with the«chicken gizzards/poor mans calimari”(as my pharmacist coworker puts it) are addicting. i’d say the quality and the portion for this type of restaurant are great! try the corn nuggets at least! I dont have to say much about their tea, everyone knows they’re known for their tea… as a matter of fact, i’m going to go thru their drive thru and get a gallon for myself today…

First time visitor and was very pleased with the french fries. I’m not a big chicken fan but it was good and cripsy. It wasn’t amazing but I wouldn’t mind eating here.

Goodie — I get to be the first to review this Chicken Express location which just opened. It’s on the West side of 360 between Post & Paddock and Green Oaks. There’s a KFC nearby on Green Oaks. I wonder if they are shaking in their boots.(Assuming the colonel wears boots) My daughter ordered the #1 combo, with hushpuppies. The chicken tenders were moist and crispy. The gravy was standard white gravy. The apple pie was considered a side, and it was typical fried pie goodness. The roll is slightly sweet and is delicious. The hushpuppies were greasy round fried cornbread that I’d certainly have again. The sweet tea was sweet.(No lemons though.) I’ve eaten the catfish at another location and like it quite well. I didn’t try it here. The service was very friendly. The meal came out quickly. The interior is shiny, new and clean. Notable: They have Dublin Dr. Pepper at the fountain! The large drinks are only $ 1.16.
