Delicious! A quaint spot with fast and friendly service. We were just passing through but if we lived in the area this place would be a weekly stop! Biscuits and gravy were delicious and so were the pancakes, eggs and bacon.

Delicious dinner food selection. Prompt and friendly service. Nice wines. Best to order a main dish + side to have a reasonable total portion size. The very nice prices make this doable and enjoyable. Setting is the ground floor of a hospice facility. The nearby sounds of a fountain water feature and the sights of manicured lawns and a hill were really nice at sunset.

I really liked coming here! First thing, make sure you look at the menu appropriate for the time that you come here… there is a menu for«Sunrise,» «Midday,» and«After Dark.» Got the French Dip with beer battered fries and was completely satisfied with what I received! The bun was soft, the meat was generous, and the au jus was warm… the fries were perfectly crispy and delicious! The fact that their proceeds go to benefit the hospice complex they are housed in is a BIG bonus! 6÷20÷16 — Came back for breakfast! It wasn’t very busy so we got our food fairly fast. The service was very friendly and helpful, just like the previous visit. The food was very good and filling so I can’t complain! Thank you Spoons!

Fantastic find! Well decorated, friendly staff, and food to die for! I had the biscuits and gravy. Portion was huge, but it was light and some of the best I have ever had. Friend had the Dreamer Benedict. Again, large portion and out of this world hollandaise sauce with just enough lemon. Put this on your must stop list.

Always a nice place for breakfast or lunch(they are open for dinner, but I haven’t been). I have to say the food is always quite good and tasty. There are sandwiches, salads, house made soups, and some specials. They use products from local purveyors(Home Style Bakery, Okagawa’s farm stand, etc) and there is a chef. So — this is not Sysco food that you are getting. And the big deal is that«Proceeds from Spoons support the mission of HopeWest Hospice». Gotta feel good about that. The set up is a little awkward feeling. You get in line and order a special off the wall or grab a menu to peruse — you order and pay and then get a pager which lights up when your order is ready. Food is clearly made to order and this is not a fast food place. Often the cashier also makes your coffee drink or milkshake, which slows things down considerably. If it is busy, and it often is at lunchtime, the ordering process might mean that the empty tables you spotted when you came in will be full by the time you are ready. In the summer, there is outdoor seating as well. This is the kind of place where people linger over their food and drinks. It is full of people enjoying time visiting with each other. This is a place that you are guaranteed a good meal — but not a date spot. I like taking my mother in law there — or visiting aunts and uncles.

By far my favorite restaurant in Grand Junction. It is simple but tasty. When I first came in it seemed a little odd but I was asked if I wanted outside seating and I did. It was perfect weather and nice music. Plus, I could not make up my mind on what to keep eating because it was yummy. I ordered the portobello mushrooms and Mac and cheese. Plus a red wine that was to live for. The chef also gave me an additional mushroom sinxe it appeared too small which I appreciated. The food was felivered fast and the service was friendly. I would for sure come back.

They seem really nice, small bistro style place… do not do any form of special order!!! Order exactly the way the menu says it is, or you will sit hungry as the rest of your party eats. I ordered the Rosemary chicken and avocado panini, with out tomato and avocado. Seems pretty simple. Not so much! The order was done and We grab all the food, and I notice they just gave me the normal panini(exact way the menu stated). I then sat there waiting for my order, while everyone else had their food. They then brought out my panini with only 2 slabs of unmelted cheese. Wtf?!? Where is the chicken I paid for? They then had to redo my order AGAIN!!! My entire party was done eating when I finally got my food… and the best part… pink chicken. I would not suggest this place!

Let’s start with the food was great. However the crowd was a bit older as spoons is connected to a hospice center which isn’t a bad thing I just think it may be a deciding factor for people.

Now the table cloths are gone for dinner. The food and service are still the best! Just the little things that make it special are disappearing. Who decides this?

This place deserves 10 stars… Period… Steak and eggs… $ 12:50 … And a bowl of fruit for a $ 1.50… The meat was thick and cooked perfectly… Medium rare… Eggs … White part cooked … Yellow part not. Perfection … Two thumbs up…

I am a big fan of Unilocal. So far they haven’t steered me wrong. Passing. Thru from California and staying in Grand junction for 2 night. Came here last night for dinner based on reviews. My daughter is gluten free and the waitress made special accommodations. My hubby had the French dip. In his words the best he ever had. The waitress convinced us to come back for breakfast. It’s cafeteria style but the food is not. I had an egg sandwich. Loved it. My daughters breakfast was big enough to feed an adult. The prices are good, the place is quiet, friendly and clean. A hidden gem. It’s truly hidden. It’s downstairs from the hospice which confused me at first. But we are happy we took a chance on this place. Will probably be back for dinner tonight.

Good value. Simple dishes prepared with care. The room itself is cafeteria like and overly bright. And the piped in 50 – 60’s(actually only the worst of 60’s) in the morning is awful and too loud. This place must be great during the summer when you can sit outside on the expansive patio area.

What a wonderful find. At first we weren’t sure they were open, but once inside, we were treated to a fabulous dinner with splendid service in a beautiful setting. On our way from Minneapolis to Pasadena and overnight end in GJ, saw the stars on Unilocal and this place is totally worth it. The restaurant had brownies YUM! They gave me two big brownies and I ate half of the first one it was really tasty and sweet .I saved the rest of the brownie in the refrigerator. –daughter

This place was amazing! I had the biscuits and gravy and they were one of the best I have had. It is in an interesting location but it was totally worth it. It is very cute and clean place and I would recommend it to anyone passing through Grand Junction, it is not too far from the highway.

All lunch proceeds goes to HopeWest including the cashiers tip. Saw the amazing Unilocal reviews and had to try! When we arrived, my mom was captivated by it’s beauty! The outside patio had plenty of tables and fountain decorated like we are about to join someone’s wedding. Inside was chic with paintings and artistically decorated as well. As excited as we were, we could not decide! The cashier offered a few suggestions and we agreed. She was definitely personable! We ordered way too much food as usually but what amazed us was the price. It’s like getting served $$$ but only paying $. Even my mom and sis was astonished! The chefs brought the food to our table because we could not even carry it all. The portions were bigger then we anticipated but everyone was smiling. Tomato soup was divine! Salmon pesto pasta was legit! We raved on and on about each dish till we were too stuff for dessert. Darn! We tried to give the cashier and cook more tip but she explained how to went to the benefit HopeWest. All the tip we left went in for a greater cause! Thank you for you’re hospitality, we would make a trip just for here.

When I first walked into Spoons we were greeted by a professional and cheerful staff who immediately seated our family of 5 at a linen covered table. I consider myself a pretty classy lady and this restaurant is a classy establishment. We started our meal with an artichoke dip. The dip tasted delicious complete with vegetables and pita triangles. The waitress also brought out a delectable bread basket that was paired with a lovely array of artisan butters. The entrees were also savory and perfectly paired with health conscious side dishes. We ended our meal with dessert, which melted in our mouths. For the value, I give this restaurant 5 stars!
