Expensive chain food. I had boneless buffalo wings they had mystery meat inside. They were good temperature but the buffalo sauce wasn’t hot enough very bland dipping sauce was very fatty and I felt like the whole dish had at a lot of fat as it was fried chicken tenders with buffalo sauce on them they were supposed to be half-price after 9PM but I mention this to the waitress and she said they were half-price but I think she got it wrong it was only 5 bucks so whatever she was enthusiastic and friendly. I also had the spinach and artichoke dip. Chips stale and nothing heathy about that bowl of melted cheese. So in conclusion this is the McDonald’s Of expensive resturaunts. In grand junction I should have gone to chilies

I know that not much should be expected from a place like Applebee’s, but this place’s food is horrible. I ordered the salmon, expecting a mediocre entrée. Somehow it didn’t even meet that standard. I was served the driest cut of fish that was completely void of flavor. It was obvious that no attempt was made to season the entire dish. There were 4 wedges of unseasoned, boiled potatoes, a single slice of zucchini, and a couple wilted leaves of spinach. I’m not certain what the cook was doing, but it wasn’t making even half an effort to prepare a dish. If you want food that is edible, I would go literally… anywhere else. Unfortunately I have to give at least one star to this crap-chute.

My brother and I grew up in a small town in rural New Hampshire. They had an Applebee’s location in Tilton, NH about 30 minutes from where we grew up. The service wasn’t ever anything special and the food was always blah and I hated that everyone always ended up meeting there(mainly because there was nothing else really available). They did have a Chili’s(my favorite chain and their direct competitor), but it was almost an hour away. I would only usually go there for a birthday or special occasion due to the longer drive time. Based on our bad experiences with Applebee’s(which was over 10 years ago) I have never considered going to another location and would opt for anywhere else in a heartbeat. We stayed at one of the hotels down the street and this location was really the only place open that had food we would like and since it had been years since we went to an Applebee’s we tried them out again. I am so glad we did! Our server was Jason(or Chad… we were introduced to a Chad, but our check had the name Jason T on it?) whoever it was Jason or Chad. they provided amazing service. I have worked in customer service as a basic employee all the way to management for both food service and hotels so when I go out to eat I analyze everything to a fine point and I had nothing negative to say about this restaurant! The food was delicious, perfectly sized portions, and I am a drink guzzler and I never once had to ask for a re-fill it was keep full all the time. The manager even stopped by our table and we could see him stopping at all the tables to make sure everyone was taken care of and that any open issues could be resolved – that is great management and shows that he cares about the operations. More restaurants should take note! It is simple and quick and requires little effort, but makes a colossal difference! All the servers seemed to communicate well with each other and also seemed to enjoy their jobs. While we probably won’t be back because we were traveling through and don’t live there, I will try other Applebee’s locations out in the future. Great job for turning around someone who used to hate this chain!

I have eaten at Applebee’s for years, but have found the grand junction one to be one of the best. I have never had such a more personable server as the one we had last week. «Braden or Bradon«made our experience so pleasurable. What a way to end such a stressful week. The place was clean, air conditioned, and the food was top notch. I wish the applebees where I live had a server like him, I wish many restaurants could clone him. Thank you applebees, for one of the better experiences I have had in that city Paul

Great place, the service was exellent the food was good and the staff made you feel like you were welcome. This is on hotel row so they get a lot of out of town traffic, I was impressed on how they paid attention to the people walking in and down to the persopn serving water made us feel like they were glad we were there,

Food was disappointing and environment was a little shady. I ordered a shrimp salad which was more or less a bowl of salad dressing with shrimp. I asked for a little more lettuce and got a very small plate of greens. My husband ordered a burger which tasted good but made him extremely ill a few hours later! Our server was nice and professional but we noticed some of the other staff was just a little weird like they worked in cliches and went behind other servers backs… no good teamwork seen and the host was very very odd. Seriously try something else and avoid this Applebee’s!!!

My neighborhood grille and bar is my go-to place for casual dining with friends. Great service, consistent food quality, a modest bar, emphasizing beers and wines with popular spirits. No exotic scotches tho.

My buddy and I were staying down the street, as we’re traveling across country. Applebees is our staple go to place. This one sure didn’t let us down. We had great food(he got the Bourbon Street Steak and I had their 4 cheese mac). We hung out until say after closing and they were super awesome and chill letting us relax and unwind. Too bad we dont live around here as we’d totally be regulars. The place was super clean and looks like they recently remodeled so that was awesome. So thanks to the staff for making our long day end with a bang.

Staying in a nearby hotel. Had not been to an Applebee’s in years and had low expectations. Wow was I wrong! Great causal dining experience. Nice comfortable atmosphere. Updated menu. My wife had Caesar chicken salad. I had grilled lemon chicken salad. Very tasty. We started with Sriracha shrimp appetizer. Delicious. They have tablets on the tables where you can order appetizers, drinks, deserts and play games while you wait. I ordered a brownie with ice cream using the tablet. It came out fast and was very good. I swiped my card on the tablet and paid the bill. Who knew Applebee’s was so high tech. Got in and out fast and had a very enjoyable dining experience. I’ll be back!

For a change, Applebees came to the rescue tonight. After a failed attempt to get food downtown, this place was still open. The menu has changed a bit and I ended up with a fancy sounding Chicken breast with a lemon olive oil served over quinoa, cranberries and walnuts. It really wasn’t too bad for 10 bucks and a pretty light choice in the world of deep fried food. The bartender Maci is a bubbly college kid and she has to deal with a lot of old folks and hotel guests staring at her lady parts all meal. Appetizers are still half price after 9pm, but only a handful are on special now.

We were staying in the motel across the street on our way through town and wanted to grab a hot bite instead of convenience store sandwiches, so thinking that Applebee’s sounded like a plan, I hiked over to place an order. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised by a chain restaurant in a town we’d not initially intended to stop through had they delivered the food to our room themselves… well, perhaps that would have actually been very pleasant, but it was worth the short foot trip across the street to not only interact with the bartenders and servers on duty, but also the friendly local folk that had come in that evening. We ordered the two-for-twenty deal, which I believe included an appetizer and two entrees, and were very pleased with both the quality and flavor of the meal as well as the portion size. They also included all the plasticware and napkins we could ever have forseeably used for twice as many meals, which was appreciated – usually, restaurants only give you the bare minimum, or forget entirely that people away from the restaurant don’t eat pasta using only their hands and face. The interior of the bar was well laid-out and had a nice feel; I liked the design of the bar area, which was located in the center of the restaurant. The beer selection was good, although I wasn’t there for a beer(and only for a to-go order) the bartender gave me a taste of the Shock Top Shockolate Wheat, which is what it sounds like – a chocolate wheat beer. It was quite tasty, and had we been eating dinner in the restaurant I’d likely have had several and later on been quite glad that the motel was right across the street. The service was quick and efficient, and I returned with our hot food quite quickly. The restaurant wasn’t overly busy at the time, but there were a few tables and it looked like the staff had everything handled efficiently and pleasantly. Next time I come through Grand Junction, I know just the place to stop for a good meal.

Every time I go to Applebee’s is a let down. Last month it was service. This time it was the food.

This is a great Applebee’s. Very friendly service every time I’ve been here, particularly the bartenders, and the food is good. I most recently had the honey BBQ boneless wings. They were cooked perfectly and came in a large, delicious portion. Excellent daily happy hour from 3 – 6 and 9-midnight. They’re a great place to be for pro football games(go Broncos), when happy hour also applies, and there are plenty of TVs.

My wife order the sirloin medium, it came out well done manager came out and said sorry and redid the order. Now the sirloin came out raw! I order a full slab of ribs very dry and tasteless. I am giving one two stars since manager took care of bill and server was nice. Every 10, years I forget how bad applebee’s and go back

A standard Applebee’s stop here. We had their appetizer and two entrees for $ 22.50, which is a pretty good deal and plenty of food. We had their spinach-artichoke dip, grilled shrimp/dinner dinner, and half slab of ribs. Ribs were ok, but grilled chicken was overly salty/spicy. Service was ok, and they now have an auto checkout console at the table which I used to pay the bill without calling the waiter. It’s supposed to address a complaint of slow service in checking out.

Today I decided to try a meal at Applebys. I ordered a half a rack of ribs, cole slaw and Fries. My drink was water. When the meal arrived I thought that I needed to put my reading glasses on. The Ribs portion was extremely small, the fries were countable(10) and the cole slaw cup was so small that I finished it on two fork scoops. I almost feed my dog more food than this and he is a Pomeranian. No wonder this chain is reportedly having financial issues, you can’t run a restaurant on just liquor. Some people don’t drink but like to get a good, well proportioned meal. I will say that on the plus side the meal was tasty, just not very hot in terms of temperature and not enough to eat. And so for the aforementioned reasons I will no longer be eating at Applebys. They have officially lost my business. :-(

I havn’t been to this Applebee’s in about 3 years. In general, I’m just not a big fan of their food. But, I was given a gift card and decided to give it another try. Well, I ordered the 9oz sirloin, medium rare, with mashed potatos and steamed vegetables. I also added garlic mushrooms. Notice the word plural of mushroom. The steak was cooked accurately. So that was a positive. But it was VERY heavily salted. I have never been served mashed potatos in the small quantity as I was served here. The steamed vegies look like they had been steamed twice. Maybe once yesterday and once today. The mushrooms were actually 1 mushroom cut very finely. It was $ 1.49 for one mushroom. Hmmm… Not the best results. Their kitchen really needs some help. The service however was great, my server had my tea refilled before I thought of it. Now what do I do with the rest of my gift card. If I go back I will not reorder what I had this time. Well I’ve been back several more times and nothing positive to report. I only go back because I got a $ 100gift card. I keep trying different things in hopes of finding something to like. Yesterday I tried the NEW Pepper-crusted sirloin and whole grains. What I got was about ½ the size as shown in the picture, as is typical here. I didn’t realize rice and«whole» grains were so valuable. Must be because there was so little of it on the plate. The steak was also much less that is pictured. The actual cost of the food product in a dish is about 20% of the posted price. Applebees is trying to cut this percentage to save money apparently. I still have money left on my card unfortunately,

Service was good, but that was it! From the beginning– when we entered and gave our names, I specified that I wanted only a booth. Nope, we got a table. A table directly in front of the air conditioning vents. Wait… air conditioner? Isn’t it February? As in WINTER? Yep, air conditioner. I complained about it and I watched one manager turn the thermostat up a couple of notches. About 10 minutes later, I watched another manager turn it back down. Note to all servers: just because you are running around, in and out of a hot kitchen and are getting hot, does not mean that the seated patrons are hot also. In fact, we are probably just about the right temperature if you are warm. We’re not running around, although we appreciate your ambition. I used the ladies room in hopes of making our food arrive(didn’t work) and just about threw up. The first stall had poo on the toilet seat(see picture). Totally ick. Finally, the food arrived. My husband’s ribs were super tough and my steak was just awful. I like a very rare steak and I’ve never had a rare steak so tough! It was a challange to saw through it with even the steak knife. Positive note: the manager(the temperature concious one) comped my steak. My son’s onion rings were absolutely nasty, but I’m not sure how you can mess up a fried, breaded thing other than frying them for too long. Finally, why do restaurants have to put adults next to people with small children? My kids are big and yes, at one time, they were small. I understand kids are kids and can be a bit unpredictable, however they aren’t mine and I don’t want to sit next to them. Another note to servers everywhere: can you make a kid-free zone? Bawling babies, toddlers throwing tantrums and 5 year old refusing to eat… all things I don’t deal with anymore and don’t like to be subjected to while having wonderful conversations with my grown children and husband. I’ve always liked Applebee’s, but I won’t be going to this particular one again.
