A must visit bike shop. Not your typical shop — very friendly and inclusive. If you’re a bike fan, there is a great collection of bikes from the late 1800’s through the decades up to the modern bikes they sell. My 16 year old and I enjoyed a tour of the shop with the owner and were invited to their Saturday group ride. It was a blast — all levels welcomed and made to feel at home during the ride. They had a very nice and healthy breakfast buffet for everyone after the ride. Loose Spokes is a gem. We will be back.

Wonderful shop. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and the shop is stocked with high quality brands. Saturday morning group rides(and a awesome free breakfast afterward) are definitely worth checking out– all experience levels welcome.

My dad had a horrible experience here. After leaving his bike in the shop to have his kickstand replaced, the tech recommended a tune-up. My dad said no thank you, but when he went to pick up his bike it was damaged and not functioning properly. Other than not having a working kickstand, the bike was fine prior to dropping it off at the shop. When my dad asked why the bike wasn’t functioning the same, the man responded with, «I told you that you needed a tune up.» Jack said he would have it done by the following day. He ended up charging my dad way more than originally quoted and was in the shop for way longer than a week without an update. When my dad questioned his honesty and customer service, Jack got very angry, verbally abusive and threatening. Stay far away from this abusive little man’s shop.

I went into this shop last week for the first time. Mainly just to register for a ride i want to do that they sponsor during the coast guard festival. I have to say the owner jack is an awesome guy. He not only make me feel comfortable but talked me like somone would to an old friend. Im new to cycling and finding myself being pulled into it more and more. Talking with jack for just a few minutes will want to make jump on your bike and ride 1000 miles. I asked about used bikes as im on super tight budget. He explained everything to me. Even though the used ones are still out of my price budget. And i didnt buy anything he still treated me with respect. Answered my questions gave me encouragement and advice. And invited me on weekly rides. I currently have a hybrid and im now looking into moving into a real road bike in the spring. All i can say is jack is a great guy. Not a pushy salesmen. Loose spokes now has become my bike shop. With just this one visit. Thanks jack.
