Las empanadas de queso are really good! but they need to improve on their service.

I went here just for the pastries, they have a nice selection. The pastries where great, also they have a deli where you can order your food. A lot of people where sitting down and eating. It seemed like a nice place. Overall pretty good spot, I will be back.

Couldn’t believe I hadn’t been here and it’s right down the street. Ordered a variety of empanadas and the soup of the day which was cream of broccoli to go. I would’ve given the food a five except the beef empanadas had a lot of gristle which kind of grossed me out. The flavor was very good though so that was too bad. The soup was delicious: very creamy and a little sweet. Unique flavor for cream of broccoli. I will definitely be back again but probably won’t order the beef empanadas.

Definitely good meat quality and bang for the buck with that massive parradilla Buenos Aires deal they have going on. It says it could feed up to 2 but honestly they’d have to be either famished or degenerates to do so lol. It could easily clear a group of 3 – 4 esp with some empanadas to supplement and the bread/chimichurri to start with. The lemon and chimichurri do go well with it but I really got spoiled by the chimichurri at aca grill so I had to douse the shit out of the meat with this sauce for it to hit the spot. The spot it did hit nonetheless and I didn’t have to drive all the way to ktown through the hellish Normandie/Wilshire hell hole. We’ll be back since its close to mom and dads place and the other location off Sepulveda has very bad parking and is surrounded by transients and prostitutes(not even being sarcastic).

Nice little store/restaurant. Prices are a bit higher compared to other Argentinian stores. Be careful with the«Faturas en Especial» for $ 6 a dozen. I walked to the pastry/faturas section and specifically asked which ones were on special as stated on the sign. A male clerk pointed to them and said, «All of them.» I purchased a dozen but was charged $ 12 at the register. I pointed this out to the cashier who did not care to honor what the male clerk had told me. The cashier just went ahead and charged my credit card. I could have fought it more or left the faturas behind, but my kids were there, and I did not want to get into that. Mercado Buenos Aires: It is against the law to do that.

My husband went in to order a couple of sandwiches and a dessert. 1st of all, the staff acted as if they were being bothered by having to take an order. 2nd of all, their sandwiches were mediocre, the ham and Swiss being the better of the 2, the other being a prosciutto sandwich; dry meat, covered with mayonnaise(blech!), lettuce and tomatoes. 3rd, the dessert simply put, Sucked! It tasted like a refrigerator and was dry. I had to spit it out. I went to this place 2 years ago, and it wasn’t bad. I don’t know if management has changed, their bakers have been replaced, blah blah blah, they’ve really gone down in quality. They do have pretty good coffee. They should be ashamed to call themselves a bakery!

All I can say is wow and why don’t they have 5 stars across the board! I walked around the area to look for a place for breakfast, when I spotted this place. When I walked in the place made feel good, it was kind of walking in to a restaurant in Argentina that love their football(soccer) I looked at the menu and had a hard time picking, Martin who was behind to counter helped me pick and was very nice, I ordered the steak and eggs which was 8.99…what?!? 8.99?!? Either there was a mistake or this would be the worst steak and eggs I’ll ever have. All I can say was that it was amazing! The presentation was great, the steak was perfectly done and the taste was amazing, and there was no mistake on the check! Looks like I found a great breakfast place and I’ll have to come and try lunch!

Yes Yes Yes Yes. I pass by everyday on my moped and I finally decided to come in. I usually go to the other two locations near by but never here. This is my new favorite one of the three I know. The service well needs a little improvemnet but it was fine. I think the servers get overwhelmed during lunch and early dinner. Prices are great and they even have a little area in the front of the store to sit if you want. I really like this spot. grilled chicken sandwich $ 6 if you want fries another $ 3 ensalada mixta which can feed 2, $ 5. Not bad Not good for groups unless you get lucky and have the long table in the middle.

So I came here for lunch with a group of my co-workers to celebrate my boss’ birthday. It was my first time having Argentinean food and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. I had the Chicken Piccata and a chicken empanada. It was very good. The service was amazing — David and Miguel were beyond helpful; they were able to arrange the seating so we were all able to sit together, they were on top of things always checking if we had water, set up the cake for us and even split the bill between all 20 of us(not all restaurants will do that). I would definitely return and would highly recommend it.

The little gem is a great treat you don’t wanna miss. It’s a restaurant in the middle of a market that sells South American treats. The food is amazing and the service is impeccable. Make sure you ask exactly what it is you’re ordering before you order if you aren’t familiar with it. After you have your meal order some coffee and dessert to top it off and you will leave happy. I ordered flan and it was sooooo good! I really enjoyed the environment and food. Big portions here so it’s enough for two which is nice.

Very cool atmosphere inside. We ordered a meat combination plate. It was probably big enough for 3 or 4 people. The ranchera was excellent! The gnocchi was excellent. The beef empanada was excellent! The flan was good, but I’d stay away from the, hard, bread pudding next time. Solid 4.5 stars.

Update September 26, 2015 So I ordered(for 5.5 people) 1 doz Tamales –I made sure I called a day before with this quantity Spinach Empenadas Beef Empenadas Parrillada de Carne… OMG! the skirt steak & Short ribs TDF!!! Milanese de Carne– average… but good, came with bread and chimichurri. I guess I did’t stir it up well enough last time, oth were very very good! Tallarines(not really fettucine, but VERYVERY good homemade pasta!) with a very different and delicious alfredo type sauce. I added chicken Merluza a la Plancha-Fish was very moist and REALLY good! Caprese Salad Obviously, I wanted to try a little of everything! We had a really diverse group of tastebuds… All agreed, Muy Sabroso!!! DELICIOUS! Oishii!!! Ho Tan! Coming back for breakfast! 5 stars hands down now! ******** I used to eat and buy empanadas from the former restaurant/deli-Palermo. I loved Palermo’s chimichurri sauce! S, I thought I’d try this place’s chimichurri sauce. Meh… kind of too much vinegar or something sour so, I didn’t go back UNTIL, my «niece» told me I had to go. She said«All of their food is good there!» So, after my nail appointment at Lovely Nails(yes, this is a hint to go there too!) I went in to Buenos Aires and bought some beef, chicken and spinach empanadas. The empanada pastry is probably the thinnest and lightest I have ever tasted. I love the Spinach. The Chicken and Beef fillings are good; but, nothing new. I also had to try the Peruvian Tamales… WT_!!! The masa on these tamales(wrapped in banana leaves?) is sooooooooooooooooooo light and the filling of chicken breast, boiled egg, chili and an olive is genius!!! I’m special ordering at least a couple of dozen of these next time for the 2 people in our house. YES! That good! I’m anxious now to try some more stuff there. I forgot– no 5 stars until the chimichurri is redeemed with a different dish I will try in the future.

I’ve been back here several times and each time I am always satisfied! I have tried many different menu items and they are all sooo good! The salad is always fresh, the meat is always delicious, and all the sides are yummy. The staff is always friendly, the service is fast, and I love the dessert selection after a great meal. I’m so glad I gave this place a try and I will continue to come back for the deliciousness!

I love coming to this place during breakfast time… Hands down, five stars. The service and food/drinks are great. I am giving this place three stars due to my last visit during lunch. The place was not too busy, but had a steady crowd. Service seemed to be slow and the staff seems less attentive; more concerned socializing with the regulars as opposed to welcoming the new customers. My family had the Choripan and the Cuban sandwich. My cousin’s wife got the cubano lunch deal, but they never brought her soda that comes with the meal even though we reminded our waiter twice. The sandwiches tasted great. I mentioned how yummy the desserts were and had my cousin pick one for us to try. HUGEDISAPPOINTMENT! It was a chocolate cake with whip cream and cherry filling. The cake itself tasted dry and stale like it had been sitting on the shelf longer than it should have and the whipped cream had that old flavor taste to it. We all made a face the moment we took one bite. I would love to come back, but please improve on customer service during lunch hours and ensure the dessert cakes are fresh.

Great place! Only reason it’s short a star is because they do not serve alcohol. :( That aside, it’s a delicious and inexpensive place for breakfast. They also have a great lunch and dinner menu. You can even take something to make at home since they have a butcher in house and a small market complete with bakery counter.

I fell in love with Argentinian food at this restaurant! The filet mignon with mushroom sauce was so juicy and delicious, their mash potatoes is a nice side. I also got my cravings, fish with lemon which was also pretty tasty. All the workers are so friendly and nice which always makes the customers day. The desserts is a must try.
