If you’re looking for kitschy atmosphere this is your place. If great food is what you’re looking for keep looking. This is frozen food at its finest topped with chemically tasting sauces. Service was excruciatingly slow. Normally I would have left but being this was my first visit and after reading the good reviews I decided to wait it out. What a mistake and disappointment. I literally left here and went to Albashas for real food.

My son use to work there and he use to tell me they sell drug out that place and there is mold and everything back there when workers come from smoke break they don’t even where there gloves are wash there hands there’s a manager that when his underwear is locked up he stick his hand in there and fix it and don’t even wash his hand. That why when he order food he made it are some one else he trust made it. So what ever the health inspector gave them it should be an F Then the food is never fresh when they fix your food like the salad

Gross, gross, gross! The floors were COVERED in food from the front door to under our table. The food was absolutely terrible and made me sick. I had a standard burger. Asked for medium and got well done and then some. It also came with no condiments. When my husband had a question about the menu the waiter gave him a smart ass remark. Very professional. The food also took absolutely way too long to come out(maybe that explains my burnt burger). There were only 2 good things about this place: 1) my son at least got to eat some free twizzlers, 2) the crazy bendy straws that work well with toddlers. Never eating there again.

These might just be the best wings in the USA. Other menu items are also consistently of high quality. Have eaten here often and will continue to do so.

So, my wife is from Pennsylvania, this is a Pennsylvania thing, apparently. However, I LOVELOVE, LOVE excruciatingly hot wings, which she promises they have. SO, we get in the Prius, and schlepp to Gonzales to try out the food. MAN! The Triple atomic are AWESOME! We got the full pretzel app, which is oddly served on an antennae looking holder. HUGE, go for the half if there are only 2 of you. The wings are tasty, well done and just soppy enough to be good. Try this place out, let me know what you think.

The 4 wheeler appetizer was really good. It consisted of yummy onion rings, wonderful pretzels, good fried pickle spears and awesome fried mozzarella sticks. They carry Pepsi drink products but thank goodness they have Dr Pepper. I ordered the boneless garlic it was ok. Nothing to write home about. Hubby ordered their atomic spice and the spicy mango habanero bone in wings. His were dry no sauce on the chicken, just powder seasoning that was ok but the wings were dry and not what we are use to with hot wings. Missing the sauce. You have to choose between carrots or celery and the ranch & blue cheese dressing is in small containers. Long story short, this place is ok but don’t go out of your way. Wish I was in San Diego at Wings & Things!!! Those are great hot wings

My coworker told me about this new place so I had to try it cause I was in the area. This place has a lot of personality the decorating is really cool and vibrant. We were greeted immediately and sparked up a conversation with the hostess. I didn’t order much just the wings to go and my friend had a burger. I think it’s pretty cool they give you twizzlers! Any who I don’t have much to say about the wings other than they were mediocre. The sauces didn’t taste great and the ranch seemed a bit water down. I would be willing to try it again maybe it was just a off night.

This review is from a visit in October… I neglected to post to Unilocal at the time. First off, the food was great… no complaints there at all. This was our fist visit and we walked in not knowing if it was seat yourself or wait to be seated. We went at an off time so there weren’t many people in there. We waited several minutes and had 4 different waitstaff pass us by without a word. We assumed it was seat yourself so I grabbed 2 menus and went to sit down. My husband finally got the attention of Kee who acted as if she had no idea what she was doing or that she even worked there. She had me get up from the table I sat at, just to seat us at the same one. Not a good first impression. Our waitress Rhondkeisha was very pleasant and helpful and took it in stride that I was surprised they only served Pepsi products. This is Louisiana… we drink Coke! She did a great job but she and Johnathan, who brought us our food, seemed to be the only ones actually working. As we ate I saw Kee doing little more than hold up a wall and 5 or 6 other waitstaff doing the same… nothing. The manager got in the way of a waitress with a tray full of drinks and looked at her like she was annoyed she was almost bumped into! We then saw another waitress playing with the manager’s hair and another waitress’ hair, right before going into the kitchen and coming out with food, which she dropped off at a table and went back to leaning on a wall. I hope she washed her hands, but I don’t believe she had enough time to have done so. The manager needs to work on the staff or this place is going to fail. Johnathan and Rhondkeisha never stopped moving… while the others just looked bothered to even be there. Hope they can shape up because I really liked the food, but I don’t tolerate bad service and I think we got lucky with Rhondkeisha and Johnathan. We’ll try again in a month or 2 and I will adjust my review if there is an improvement.

I’ve been here a few times for business lunches and thought the food was pretty good to take my family one day. Well, today was the day and it was not the most pleasant experience. Service — for some reason, we weren’t seated right away even though we saw a few open and clean tables. It didn’t seem like it was crazy busy or as if they were short handed, but my family of four and a half had to wait about 5 – 10 minutes anyway. Our waitress was nice, not rude or anything, just slow? We got our drinks, got an extra few minutes to place our order, and then we waited. Then waited some more. It wasn’t about 45 minutes to an hour until our food finally arrived. Prior to getting our food, we were almost ready to just walk out, but luckily, I assume, another wait staff took notice and brought our food out. Food — when the food finally arrived it was warm, not«freshly» hot kind of hot, which means to me the food was ready, but just overlooked to be brought out timely. It kind of made sense as it wasn’t our waitress that brought it out to us, but another staff member. Our order wasn’t anything special as we just ordered wings, lubeburger, and some boneless wings with no special requests. Just straight from the menu kind of thing. All in all, the food was warm, but at the very least, it still tasted good(thankfully — it’s tough dealing with an angry wife with sleepy kids). Throughout the meal, I had an empty cup… not a single wait staff came to check on us until our original waitress came by to which I asked for another drink and our check. I decided to give a rating of 3 stars(instead of something less) for the following reasons: — the manager, at least I assume to be, came to our table to see if we enjoyed our meal. To which my wife expressed her feelings about her experience. I kept quiet as I just wanted to pay and go. — pay and go was all I wanted to do so I can move on, but this manager took it upon himself to rectify our experience by covering the meal for us and assuring us that he will look into it and make sure it doesn’t happen again. He told us that our food was cooked and ready to go within 14 minutes, which made sense to me why the food came to us warm and not«hot off the stove». Someone just totally forgot about us. — although the food brought to us was warm and not hot as it should be, it still tasted good. However, it would’ve been a lot better if it was still hot out of the kitchen. We got there at 2:34, but we didn’t leave until 3:50. Wings and burgers should not have taken that long of an experience in my opinion. Big question a lot will ask is, will I go back. Probably for work related meals only(e.g., coworkers outvote me). Family meals? Not sure at the moment. Manager’s action made us feel better, but an apology from the waitress would’ve made it even better. At least acknowledge the mistake, mishap, whatever. It wasn’t like my wife and I were rude or unruly. Time will tell.

My hubby and I first stumbled upon this adorable little place a few days ago while on a joyride through Gonzales. Why were we joyriding? Why the hell not? Gas is only like $ 1.85 right now and we had nothing better to do. Anyway, we saw the part of a sign that said«Quaker» and another sign that just said«wings» peering out from behind the abomination known as Logan’s Roadhouse. At first we had no idea what the hell it was. Was it one of those little bakeries ran by Quaker ladies that you sometimes see at the farmer’s market but instead of pie and cookies they serve buffalo wings instead? Do the Quaker dudes change your oil for you as you feast on chicken wings? We decided to check it out. After all, the Quaker bakery ladies make some damn good molasses cookies. Perhaps they own at making chicken wings as well? My husband is a chicken wing aficionado, so he’s always on this never ending quest to find chicken wings as yummy or better than his precious Buffalo Wild Wings. Well low and behold, his quest has finally come to an end. No, Quaker Steak’s wings aren’t lovingly homemade by Quaker ladies, but they still have some serious game. My husband branded them as «delectable» and the crowning glory: he said they were as good as B Dubs(Buffalo Wild Wings). My husband has often said that if he were to be executed at dawn his last meal of choice would be a basket of Blazin’ wings from B Dubs, so saying that this place is as good is a huge compliment. He liked that the wings were fresh with ample meat on the bone to feast on. He also enjoyed their smörgåsbord of sauces as well. He ordered some wings with the atomic and triple atomic sauce, along with a couple other non gut burning sauces. He liked them all. Though not that hot, he commented that the Haute Parm was a tasty, flavorful sauce, but the flavor didn’t detract from the actual chicken wing itself. It enhanced it like any noble buffalo sauce should do. He was satisfied with the level of hotness in the atomic and triple atomic. He said the level of hotness in the triple atomic even grows on your tongue after awhile like an after burn. They were hella hot but not too hot for him, though. He has an insane tolerance for spicy foods. He sucks Buffalo Wild Wings Blazin’ sauce straight from the bottle like a newborn piglet suckling on its mommy’s teat. Yes, I get him a bottle of Blazin’ sauce every Christmas. The only time where he ate a sauce that was just too damn hot was when he had a ghost pepper sauce. That was some hot-ass shit. It even messed him up for a couple of days. The triple atomic didn’t do that, but it DID make him sweat, but it’s a good sweat. A hearty, piggy, chicken wing induced, blissful sweat. He was pretty damn content. We didn’t try any of their other food but they offer a full menu of burgers, sandwiches, and other hangover bar food. There’s something for everyone unless you’re vegetarian(like me). If you love Elsie the Cow you’re relegated to nutritionally nonexistent meals such as French fries, onion rings, or Bavarian pretzel bites, sigh. Yes, they do have salads but most of their salads have chicken or bacon in them and this is a race car themed restaurant. Ordering field house greens at a race car themed eatery just seems wrong. It would be awesome if they at least had a veggie or black bean burger for us hippies who don’t eat meat but want something greasier and more substantial than field house greens. Seriously, offering a veggie burger would have made all the difference. It doesn’t have to be the fancy, mack daddy, Taj Mahal of veggie burgers. Just a simple, frozen Boca burger will do. It just shows us that you care. They have gluten free and lite options, but for vegetarians it’s slim pickins’ unless you want to make a meal on mozzarella sticks and onion rings. Writing about it makes me feel bloated. Anyway, I would have given this place 5 stars if they had had at least one veggie wrap or burger option. It still gets 4 because my hubby was pretty psyched about the wings, the service(take out) was fast, and the place is beyond adorable with the old school gas pumps and racing theme it has going on. Any boy who grew up sleeping in, or wanting a race car bed will take one look at this place and cream themselves. My hubby will be visiting a lot from now on. With 65 cent wings on Wednesdays I can see this place becoming his new Wednesday ritual. His new mecca. And the Quaker had nothing to do with ladies baking cookies or pots of oatmeal. It’s Quaker as in Quaker State oil. A-ha! Now I get it. One last bit of useless information: my hubby was given a complimentary string of Twizzlers with his order of chicken wings. I guess there is something I can eat.

I tried this place for the first time a week ago and I loved everything about this place the onion rings in my option was the best I ever had. The Philly cheese steak was to die for. I would have given it 5 stars, but they messed up on my order and gave me mushrooms on my Philly when I asked for none. Other then that it was an over all good experience.

Anyone posting less than a five for these wings doesn’t understnad how real wings are supposed to be made! We drove 45 minutes for these beauties and will again. Juicy, big wings not coated with gross batter. True wings!

This is my first Unilocal review. We chose this place due to the few decent reviews but more so due to convenience to our hotel. Just gross. Ordered online for pick up. The hand made chips taste burnt and stale. Zero flavor. Chicken sandwich was edible but the bread was almost like Styrofoam. Fries=blah. Best part ever– chicken wedge salad? Almost NO blue cheese, ok, may as well just say no blue cheese because there really wasn’t any, ordered extra bacon and it was just extra pathetic… hardly ANY bacon and the few pieces were the rubbery fatty ends and essentially RAW! A photo of this $ 8.99 salad is posted. The chicken isn’t in the photo because there was none on the salad. This was a take out order and we may as well have tossed cash into a swamp. So gross. I guess it might be a decent place to get drunk and you’d have to be pretty trashed to eat this crap.

The wait was long but I can understand its a new place! Must get Lemonade! Freshly squeezed but only get 1 free refill so keep that in mind. Tried the loaded fries and they were ok, bacon made them a bit too salty. Tried the Q Burger and that was also ok. It comes with onions but when i asked for them to grill them i was charged $ 1.50 so wasn’t impressed with that, Maybe i was asking too much? The food was ok, id go back to try wings but its not a must that we eat there.

Fun, very casual place to eat. Racing theme restaurant great for kids. TVs everywhere with sports on every channel is always great in my book! American food to the max here: wings, burgers, sandwiches and wraps etc. I had a really good burger, add cheese and bacon, fully dressed. My friend had a turkey wrap. Both came with fries. Both meals were fresh and tasty. This place is brand new, so it’s a bit crowded, so our wait(for the food) took a little while. Waitstaff was very nice(though she admitted they were understaffed in our section) and restrooms were clean(to be expected in a brand new facility). Overall a good experience.

Pretty fun place for the whole family. Lots of racing memorabilia and friendly atmosphere. From mild to super spicy, we enjoyed all the flavores we tried. Will definitely go back again. We even took a video of my son taking the Triple Atomic Wing Challenge.

I just tried this restaurant for the first time today. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. I will say this, we didn’t have to wait long at all for a seat(actually there wasn’t a wait although it was moderately busy), but there did seem to be a lag in when someone was taking our order. Thankfully the nice lady getting our drinks just went ahead and took our order to speed it along. I had a combo with cheese fries and wings, and it was very good! More importantly, I was very pleased when my wings came out hot. I’ve found that going to different chicken wing restaurants you can often get them kinda on the cold side. I loved the bright atmosphere here as well. The staff was friendly. Our waitress in particular(I’m sad I can’t remember her name) was very knowledgeable about the menu. I can definitely see myself coming back to this restaurant!
