First time eating here last night. The food was amazing. Our server was very polite and she took the time to make sure our order was correct. Timing was perfect as well. The meatballs for an appetizer was big enough to be a meal. I ordered the skirt steak for my entrée and it was cooked to perfection. The wait was a little long but well worth it. We will be back!

We went to Luigi’s on the recommendation of our tax preparer in Soledad to celebrate our upcoming refunds. What a great new find! Following a fresh salad and fresh-out-of-the-oven ciabatta bread with a superb crust and texture, we had the alfredo crab and shrimp lasagna special – definitely a diet splurge but well worth it. It was served piping hot and delicious. We took home leftovers, which were still warm by the time we got home. The service was friendly, fast, and accurate with just the right amount of attention. The ambient noise was a little loud(probably those bank acoustics) but not enough to deter us from a future visit.

Great Italian restaurant in the city of Gonzalez on Alta Street. This is the site of an old bank and still has the bank vault which has been converted to a wine room. The food here is top notch. The service can be a bit slow, but I think in our case this was because our waitress was just a nice lady who happened to start working at this place and was running back and forth bringing dishes or special requests like drink refills one-at-a-time back to tables. She lacked some experience and efficiency but made up for it with kindness and friendly conversation. The food here is very tasty, filling, and made form local fresh ingredients. This is a farming town after all. The bar is nice if you are alone or with another person, but for larger groups the dinning area is where the lot of us had our lunch after a busy morning of work in the area. Also the garlic butter and fresh baked bread with rosemary is really worth the calories. If you are ever traveling the 101 between SF and LA, be sure to stop in on this place, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Bozzo family for the very nice lunch. Will be visiting your other resturant Gino’s in Salinas next time.

Had another great meal. Very busy, but didn’t feel lost in the crowd. Had their cod wrapped in bacon and shrimp and crab lasagna special. Excellent. Bread improvement needed.

What a nice restaurant in Gonzales! Of course we love Gino’s, Angelina’s, and Bagel Corner so Luigi’s had to be a hit and it was. 4 of us were all satisfied and service was attentive. Pretty packed for a Thursday night.

We are big fans of Gino’s and Angelina’s in Salinas, so we were so excited to have Luigi’s open in Gonzales last year… we have been several times and it is always fantastic food! We loved the cheesesteak at lunch, anything that includes calamari is delicious, the fettuccine dishes are fantastic, love the lasagna, all the desserts are amazing. Take out is quick and always ready when promised. We love coming here and are glad to see another good option in the area!

Pizza Review Only — from a pizza snob. Had the opportunity to try the Boss(meat-combo), requested jalapeños and it was seriously an excellent pizza. Great toast on the outer crust and totally fresh. Also tried the cheese pizza — good too. You wouldn’t think pizza when it comes to Gonzales let alone ordering it at Luigi’s as they do not consider themselves as a pizzeria but they do a fantastic job and you should consider. **This pizza is better than the pizza I had at Oak and Rye and Luigi’s isn’t even trying. Word Of Caution — I’m not sure about the other items on the menu and can’t recommend if I haven’t tried. I have been to their primary restaurant at least 10 times(since a kid to client meetimgs in recent years) Gino’s in Salinas and am not a fan whatsoever.

The Gem of Gonzales. Local wine and great food. May I suggest a Morgan Pinot Noir with a lasagna

I was excited Gino’s was opening a sister restaurant in Gonzales(closer to home). Came in right at opening for dinner and it was deserted which was awesome because our takeout was ready in less than 15 minutes! Blackened chicken fettuccine is a must, was just as good as the one from Gino’s. Got a large salad too with ranch. The ranch was really salty, so that was the only downside seeing how much I love ranch from Gino’s but I’m hoping it was just a fluke! Will definitely be back!

This place is SO good. The friendly service is often a bit slow but the food is worth the wait. The burgers and sandwiches are YUMMY. The fries, or chips, are delicious. And the pastas? Oh, my!!! If you’re in the area, stop and enjoy. You won’t be sorry!

This place is diamond to Gonzales’ eateries. My girlfriend and I were looking for something to eat after we got out of church. Of course Gonzales is full of Mexican resteraunts. Totally not in the mood for tacos today. I wanted a date night with my beautiful. Anyway, Unilocal pointed out Italian. Luigis. The reviews looked good and the very few pics made it worth checking out. Once we walked in the aroma of good cooking hit us. The interior although small was very warm and inviting. We were quickly seated and promptly attended. Their complimentary bread is yummy but that garlic butter… Man! can you say addicting. The food is flavorfull and portions are huge. Plus affordable. My girl got the lasagna; boiling hot but it was cool cuz the waiter let us know before hand. Meaty cheesy goodness. I got the Italian Sausage & Gnocci. Simple dish but I liked it. Definetly will be back to try the other dishes. Oh and p. s. they have Wine Wednesdays! Awsome!!!

Wonderful food and great service. Huge portions!!! I had the lasagna and the flavor was wonderful. Dad had the gnocchi and I had a bite to taste it and that was amazing too.

I will preface this by saying that I’ve been here once, and was for lunch. I ordered the santa lucia burger(smoked apple bacon, cheese, bbq and 100% angus beef) the food was rich and tasty and service was good. The portions were very large(I left a 3rd of my burger uneaten), but I know lots of people who would have no problem finishing this meal. i give this place a solid B

Our party of three ordered the BBQ pork ribs with mashed potatoes and veggies, the lasagna and the fettuccini. None of us had any complaints. If you are in town and looking for Italian you can’t go wrong here. Nice ambiance. Our glasses never went past half full and empty plates never sat without being cleared.
