Hampton Inn

This Hampton was so disappointing. We stayed in two rooms for a mini-​family reunion and I told the staff that and that we had kids. They were unable to put our rooms together. Called us disrespectful for walking between rooms and closing doors and making too much noise at 8 pm. Yes, we were making noise… I didn’t realize 8 pm was quiet hours. We apologized and made every effort to be quiet, but it was simply disappointing.
Add to that my parenting skills were questioned and I won’t be staying here again. Even tho they have an indoor pool. I don’t know what more to say, but my reunion with my nieces and nephews after a year and a half was spoiled by our stay here.

My family reserved 10 rooms here months ago and recently learned (upon calling to check on them) that they «lost» all of our reservations. The person that answers the phone cannot even be understood. We called 4 days in a row to reach the manager who apparently only works an hour a day. When we finally got a hold of her, she rudely told us they were all booked up and it was too bad they lost our reservations. So, that was it, and I’m ok with it, because I’m sure it would have been an unpleasant stay with such rude and idiotic people running the hotel anyway.

This is where I stayed during my recent 2 week business trip in Ascension Parish. During that time, a number of other groups stayed here, including a law enforcement motorcycle rodeo sponsored by Cabelas next door and other Company employees that I hadn’t seen for awhile.
This was a solid 3 Star Hotel experience. The room was comfortable, the shower was hot, Wi-​Fi was strong, and the free breakfasts were pretty good. My chief complaint was with my Host who should have put us up in a Suites Hotel considering the amount of live in time involved. I would have liked a little more kitchen resources and a chair to sit in that wasn’t at the desk. This of course, was not this Hampton Inn’s problem to address.
The main reason I’m bumping this review to 4 Stars is that the folks who worked here really made me feel at home and put out what I thought was an extra service effort. that included the folks at the desk, those working the breakfast room, and even the person who got me change for the laundry room. That sort of thing often makes an average situation special.
