I must give a shout-out to the entire staff for their friendliness and efficiency. We moved from the SpringHill suites right next door because one of the staff members was really rude and breakfast was always late. The staff over here was very welcoming and really made us feel at home. When we first got into the room, they called to make sure everything was okay. When we went three days without a room clean(late sleepers), they left us fresh towels on our door. When our card stopped working twice, they offered to bring it up to us. When the people on the third floor were obnoxiously loud, they moved us to the fourth four with no hesitation. If this was a review for the staff(including the housekeepers), they’d get 5 stars. The room that we stayed in had two queen beds that were a little squeaky. Definitely not as comfortable or luxurious as the SpringHill suites but the pillows were very comfortable. There was a flat-screen TV with plenty of channels including Starz and HBO, a comfortable reading chair, and a full kitchen stocked with a pot, a skillet, microwave, dishwasher(and soap), a trash can, coffee pot, paper towels, utensils and an apartment sized refrigerator. Everything worked well and we had no overall problems with any appliances. Our problems began when we went to heat up some food in the microwave. It had not been cleaned all the way and there was food splatter on the back which was pretty gross. The two forks that we puled out to eat with still had food on them from the previous guests. The shower and outside of the dishwasher both need a really good scrub down as there was grime on both that made me feel a little yucky. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t that great and we had to wait about 3 – 5 minutes for hot water at about 5AM in the morning. The curtains did NOT keep the sunlight out and it really stunk because we were on vacation and we had to use our pillows to help. If you’re wanting a nice quiet place to sleep, ask for a room on the fourth floor AWAY from the elevators. You’ll thank me later. The breakfast was decent. Typical hotel breakfast with powdery eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, some weird kind of egg and cheese combo on a biscuit, fresh fruit and two different kinds of juices. It was very cool of them to offer to-go breakfasts(cereal, milk, granola bar and an apple) for the people who are up and gone before breakfast. The absolute WORST part of this hotel was the WI-FI. It was horrendous. On both the second and and fourth floors, we struggled to keep even two bars. It is definitely not enough to stream a movie on Netflix or Hulu and was barely enough to let me post this review. It continuously disconnected because of the signal strength. I was really disappointed. I even went and tried to sit outside on the patio and… nothing. I also learned quickly that the Ethernet cable did not work. Overall, this was a decent hotel with free breakfast, comfortable beds(for the most part), good AC, awesome amenities, but with really poor WI-FI. I don’t know if I’d stay here long term again as I really need my Netflix and Hulu, but the service was spot-on.
