Although this steakhouse is a little pricy, the food is worth every penny! The filet mignon tastes juicy and flavorful. It just melts in your mouth! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the establishment is clean and well maintained. An excellent choice for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries.

I had been wanting to give this place a visit. Was invited to a work celebration there so decided to give it a try. I ordered the filet sirloin steak as the menu stated it was as tender as the filet and flavorful. No, it was very dry, even though it was very pink in the center if it was not for the color you would have thought it had been ordered extra well done instead of med. As it was dry and tough with min taste The salad bar was fresh but the number of choices was very basic. My husband ordered a steak as well and his was the same. I have noted there is a wide range of ratings some say they had the opposite experience saying that there steaks were terrific? Maybe it depends on who is cooking? Prices are too much for what you get. I did like the waitress she was pleasant. I did not complain to her…

Fairly limited menu with above average pricing. Beer selection is subpar as well as options for wine. Was quoted 30 – 45 minutes but ended up waiting about 90 minutes. My wife and I usually eat light so splitting an 8 or 10 oz steak is pretty normal. But on top of their astronomical price of $ 19 for a choice 8oz sirloin, they wanted an extra $ 9 to allow you to split the plate. Apparently this was for the salad buffet which I had no interest in but was going to be charged as such regardless. I’ll be taking my business to Texas roadhouse from now on, or better yet… to my own Weber grill.

The steak, chicken, shrimp, and calamari we ordered were all cooked absolutely perfectly! Good service, and the prices are fair. The only thing I found lacking was the all-you-can-eat salad bar, but considering it comes free with your meal, I still give this restaurant 5 stars. For such a small place, I am quite impressed.

First impression — cute country steakhouse that takes you back in time a little bit. The restaurant feels like an old house that belonged to your great great aunt or uncle. There is certainly a decent variety of menu options. We got the fried calamari and it was actually very good. The entrees were generally a protein with a side of vegetables and a potato — old-fashioned but not really in a good way. We tried some steak at the Taste of Wayne, and they were actually very good… they won first place for People Choice Award. Next time I’ll probably go ahead and get the steak, since it seems this is their specialty, and the food drops off fairly quickly if it’s not steak. My only gripe is that the price is pretty high when the rest of the meal is mediocre.

The best steak in Wayne County! And they’ve got awards to prove it. Seriously, I am not one to typically got out to dinner for steak, as I can cook one myself far better than what most restaurants can, but this place knows how to cook a rib-eye. I go there pretty regularly, and my steak is always cooked exactly like I ask. Great flavor, pretty good prices, and I love the atmosphere. It’s a little on the small side, so Friday’s and Saturday’s you typically have to wait a little while. My wife always orders the pasta with shrimp — and she loves it. Great salad bar, and the rosemary chicken is pretty good too. Top it all off with the banana Foster’s for dessert, and you’ve got a great evening out.

I REALLY wish Unilocal had half stars to help alleviate my frequent # of stars decision vacillation and uncertainty. Village Steakhouse deserves 3.5 stars, but I digress… Random randomness is how I’d describe the Village Steakhouse. My neighbor randomly texted me midday asking if I’d like to eat dinner here. Of course, I obliged, and at 730 on a random Tuesday night we rolled up to this cute little randomly decorated old house. One side of the«house» is the full service bar and the other side is a cozy room with a few tables. I ordered the citrus brine chicken with steak fries and for him a steak with a sweet potatoe with cinnamon and butter. Both entrees came with the hallway salad bar, seriously, the salad bar is in the hallway. All was good, but mheh, not great. The menu is largely steak with random dishes like Asian chicken with hoisen sauce thrown in. I really would have liked to try the award winning ribs, but alas, I don’t eat pork.
