Mediocre at best. The Panang is greasy and lacks any vegetables. The Pad Thais is bland. I suggest skipping this location. The only reason I have them 2 stars instead of 1 is the people are nice. However, there really is no good place to eat in Golden. Anyone reading this plea that has any inclination of opening a good restaurant in Golden, I’m begging you to do it. We moved for Denver and cannot find good food in Golden. I miss Thais Basin and Swing Thai.

I love this place for take out. The panang curry was awesome as was the three-flavor chicken. Definitely a solid choice for Thai food. The staff has always been friendly on the phone and in person. It’s always been easy to place a to-go order and pick it up.

Yummy! Went here with some girlfriends a few weeks ago. It was steady but not packed at 7pm on a Saturday night. We all ordered pad Thai with the same spice level. Mine wasn’t spicy at all, and my friends’ meals were almost inedibly hot. We watched the table next to us leave over half their meals on the table, no doggie bags. I don’t get it. The food is delicious, even though their spice level was not consistent(but I can say that, because I could actually eat my food, and not just sit at a table full of women, red-faced and sweating, trying to power through my nuclear noodles). Good selection of fresh juices at reasonable prices. Cocktails were also reasonably priced and very fresh(I had 2, just to be sure!).

Was very pleased to find a good local Thai Restaurant on the West-side of Denver. The food is absolutely delicious — with tons of flavor. One of the best Thai restaurants in the Front Range. Since the restaurant is very small(tables and chairs are not supper comfortable) we almost always order«take-out». The food is stellar — I suggest picking the food up and enjoying at a local park(weather permitting) or at home/hotel/etc.

I have never found a place where I order the curry and still want more. You also have the choice to make the curry hotter if you have a taste for spice! I will definitely be ordering from Thai Gold often.

Yum yum! I tried Thai Gold Restaurant today for the first time. Wow! Flavors — perfect, customer service — perfect, price — perfect… and I’m one picky person. I’m impressed and will be eating there whenever I“m in the area. The ambiance is comforting also. I did carryout but will be dining in their cute lil space the next time I’m in Golden, Colorado.

This place houses the best curry ever made. I am so upset that I live 8 hours from Thai Gold. My group of 10+ came here after graduation — 1) We called ahead and were seated immediately 2) Service was excellent the entire time we were there(several hours) 3) There’s a «secret spice rating» that you can request on any dish that is rated 1 – 10. Most of our group got anywhere from 2 – 5(a 5 rating was very, very spicy) 4) The curry is THEBEST. We were also all impressed with the pineapple fried rice. 5) If you enjoy lychee, the Thai Gold Martini is delicious! 6) They only had two orders available of the mango with sticky rice for dessert, but it was plenty to pass around and was tasty!

Amazing dishes every time we go! The menu is so long so it’s always hard to decide! Of all the Thai places that have opened and closed in golden, this one still is going strong and so good! The service can be slow, I always feel like they’re understaffed. They do pickup and that’s really awesome, always ready when I get there.

Started out with the Thai gold mojito which was amazingly refreshing. Awesome pineapple fried rice and spring rolls! Our server was very responsive and food came out very shortly after appetizers. Will definitely be returning very soon!

I love the blend of the authentic Thai and Mountain City culture. Nice patio seating with the sun shining down on your back on a brisk day. The food was very tasty. Had soup and a noodle dish.

Our first visit to Thai Gold a year ago was awesome. Really fantastic food, good beer selection, nice atmosphere. Their crispy duck, in particular, was wonderful. Unfortunately, in our three subsequent visits, it has been less-than-stellar. On one visit, there were four of us and we sat outside. The restaurant was busy, but we waited 20 minutes for menus, 30 minutes for beer, and our food came over an hour after we ordered. We asked for more beer when our food arrived and the beers never came(but were on our bill). Other tables were visited every 5 – 10 minutes, but we seemed to be forgotten about. It happens, they were busy. At least the food was good. Visit number three was even worse. We got our menu and beers quickly, but after ordering appetizers, our server disappeared. After 30 minutes, we went looking for her, but couldn’t find her anywhere. After going back to the table, she appeared after 10 minutes with cold appetizers(we had not even ordered our main dishes yet) and no apology. It was moderately busy, but there seemed to be plenty of servers. When we complained about the food and asked for the bill, she rolled her eyes and stomped away. She still charged us for our appetizers and disappeared on us again so we couldn’t even ask for a manager. Still hungry, we just left to get food someplace else. The last visit was yesterday. Again, the service was terrible. We visited for lunch(all of the other visits had been dinner, so we thought we might have better luck). Instead of a 45 – 60 minute lunch, we were there for almost 2 hours. After waiting to submit our order for 30 minutes, my sister in law finally got up and hunted down our server to let her know we were ready to order. This time it was not that busy, so there really was not excuse. The food was good, but trying to get drink refills or any attention from the server was next to impossible. Unfortunately, this is one of those restaurants with amazing food and terrible service. If you are going to eat here, get carry out.

Management needs to do something about the. flies. I had the soup, spring roll and the three spice chicken. All were very tasty. My server was very good too. Just need to fix the fly thing.

Not super impressed with the food or the service. Most of the customers this night were out on the patio but it still took forever to even get a water or a menu. I ordered the pad thai. Their spiciness scale is a weird one. 1 =mild, 2=medium and everything above that is hot. I got the mild and there was no heat to it at all. The noodles were also different than what I’m used to. They reminded me of angel hair pasta. Overall, the dish was just okay. Nothing to rave about.

Lunch specials every day from 11 – 4. And come with a sprig roll or Gyoza, and a soup. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and had great service. The Panang Curry is excellent.

Really quant place to eat. Nice and quiet there. Had the satay appetizer and the fried tofu, both were really good. They have a 0 – 10 spicy scale. I ordered the pad Thai at a 5, and it was perfect.

I cannot say enough good things about this little Thai jewel of a restaurant in the middle of Golden. My wife has dined here a few times before and loved it every single time. Today, she brought me to Thai Gold to share with me her love for«the best Thai food she’s ever had.» Oh my, was she ever right. The food was simply amazing but, to make things even more extraordinary, Jim(the owner) and his staff provided us with a dining experience as I have never experienced before. We were treated like royalty and, even though the restaurant was busy, they made us feel as if we were the only two customers present. Do yourself a favor and visit Thai Gold for the most amazing food and incredibly awesome service experience that you have ever had.

What a great place! Plenty of outside eating, cute interior, very nice staff and excellent food. I had red curry with chicken and my boyfriend had kapow with beef. The portions are large and we both loved our choices.

As a Texas transplant to amazing Colorado, I wanted to find a Thai place that rivaled the amazing Thai choices that a big city like Houston affords. My guy and I have tried a few and for various reasons, not returned. We discovered gold here! We ordered gyoza for an appetizer, followed by a papaya salad and shrimp green curry that we shared. The spice level was perfect and the overall flavor was spot on. This dinner rivaled the best we’ve had in Houston. H-town is known for its plethora of amazing food, so I do not say this lightly. And, the prices were very reasonable. Well done. We WILL be back!

Thank you Unilocalers for leading me to this restaurant. I am from Denver so I don’t know much about the Golden Restaurant scene. Food was excellent, 5 stars all the way. One of the best versions of Garlic Chicken I have had in all my life. It was presented beautifully with a ring of steamed garlic around the plate. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the sauce was out of this world; garlicky sweet and an ample amount to coat the chicken and dip the broccoli. I have been dreaming about this dish ever since. The Pineapple Fried Rice was also amazing. Perfect amount of spice paired with pineapple, cashews, peas, pork, etc. The restaurant is quaint, located in a remodeled home, so it has various small rooms. Tables are comfortable and I loved admiring the Thailand art around the room. I can’t wait until I have another excuse to go to Golden so I can go back.
