There is an amazing sense of familial bond and camaraderie at this Masjid. Due to its close proximity to Colorado School of Mines, the Masjid attracts Muslim international students from all over the world especially Middle East, South Asia, Far East, and North Africa. As a young person, it was very easy for me to blend right in and make close friends. The local community members are very outdoorsy and social. From ski trips and cycling adventures all the way to weekend dinner feasts and Ramadan Iftaars. I would recommend anyone moving to the nearby area to attend Islamic Center of Golden and engage in this loving community.
