Been here a few times and each visit brings me back to try something new. Have ordered pizza and the chicken parm sub. Pizza had excellent crust minus the middle which was a little soggy(applies to pickup). Will try getting well done next time to avoid that. The chicken parm sub was excellent. Very happy I live so close so I continue to come here and try new menu items! EDIT: 5÷14÷16− Bono’s food quality is great but unfortunately you need more then just good food to run a successful business. Every single time I go, regardless of time or day, I am always waiting far too long for my food. This is not a comment on being impatient but rather one on poor processes across the business. My food has been ready on multiple occasions and has sat on the counter for 10+ minutes until I ask to get it. This comment is directed at management and the owner and not the staff because they always seem to do the best with what they have. However, what they need is help and a lot of it. Bono’s does have solid food but expect a long wait for both pickup or dine in because of some very poor internal processes.

We had a meeting nearby and looked on Unilocal for a good slice of pizza. Found Bono’s and it sounded like a great option. I lived nearby from 2002 – 2008 and had no idea Bono’s was there. Too bad because the food and owner were amazing. Thanks to Unilocal for turning me on to this gem. The owner is from Boston and grew up in the North End so he KNOWS his Italian-American food. We ordered the chick parm sub and an Italian cold cut sub with a cannoli. Before 4PM, it’s a casual place… you order at the register and they bring it out. After 4, it’s a full-service restaurants with servers. Anyway, we got our cannoli when we ordered and paid and planned to eat it after our meal but that plan lasted a minute. It was fresh and perfect. Our subs were killer! Normally, there is nothing special about a sub roll. Not at Bono’s. There is obvious love going into those rolls. Sorry it took me 14 years to learn about Bono’s but thrilled I know now! Go!

Sorry Bono’s not a fan… GF tastes like cardboard and my son’s order was incorrect. I have pasta once a month due to my eating plan… Thanks for screwing up my month. I came from the gym starving and I left hungry with bad pasta in my stomach. Please taste you GF pasta… Ask yourself, does this taste good?

I used Bono’s for a meeting I had in the local area after exhausting every option I could think of, not many options in the area other than some chains or non catering friendly restaurants. The location is a little hidden, just off Indiana and the 6th ave frontage road behind the liquor store on the corner. They have a decent amount of seating inside and a full bar. The owner took great care of me from the moment I walked in the door. Very personable and you can tell that this business meant a lot to her and that’s always a good sign. They packaged the food perfectly, something a lot of other places don’t, and which lead to and easygoing drive to my meeting without fear of spillage. I ordered a tray of chicken parm and a large garden salad. The parm was excellent, everything was made in house down to the breadcrumbs. The salad was arranged beautifully and had a great veggie to greens ratio. Many compliments were given and they kept asking where the food was from. I highly recommend this local family owned Italian restaurant for dine in or catering, will not disappoint.

If you’re in a hurry, go to Olive Garden. If you want an authentic Italian meal go right in. Everything made from scratch. Given how busy they were on this Friday night, our server Jeff still made a point of it to welcome us with genuine interest and make pleasant conversation. Food: incredibly fresh and delicious. Stuffed shells with bolognese sauce that is lights out. Shrimp scampi pasta and sauce was dynamite. Oh and the Canolli’s that our great waiter Jeff went and made himself at 9:00pm. The best I’ve ever had. And I grew up eating in NYC enjoying some world class Italian. Places like this make me wonder how manufactured restaurants are still in business. Their fake food, their prices are higher and they rush you out of there even though«it’s no hurry». Oh, and if it’s pizza you want. Don’t fret. It’s far and away the best in Colorado. Go there for lunch for their pizza by the slice specials. You won’t be disappointed.

Bono’s is a genuine place for a true Italian meal. When you walk in you feel the family atmosphere here. They’ve been here for at least three decades. That’s a lot of years to stay running as solid as this! Immediately I went for their Fettucine Alfredo. The very efficient gentleman that attended to us had me at «grilled chicken». He suggested that with my Alfredo. No one has suggested that to me off the bat. It’s like he knew that’s how I want mine done! lol! Well I’m very happy to say the least and totally satisfied with my choice. My Alfredo was creamy not watery, chicken was grilled. The two pieces of garlic bread that came with it was fresh and garlicky enough. The location is big inside. There’s a cute little bar all the way in where the booths are. The tables are in the main dining area. They have a robust menu. But I may have found my to go place for my Alfredo! I ended my visit with a couple of their cannolis! Wow! Don’t skip this no matter what!

I have used Unilocal for years and this is my first review. This place is fantastic! The best pizza I have had since New York. I rate pizza based on sauce, unique ingredients and most importantly the crust. 5 stars on the food alone but I would give an additional 5 stars on the friendly and family service here. Top notch and well done.

We went for the Valentine’ s Day dinner, the bruschetta was very good as was the salad, the steak and lobster were perfect, and cannoli’s yummy for dessert. Great place, super nice owners who care about service and quality, if you are in the area definitely go here, you won’t be disappointed, the pizza and steak bombs are awesome too

My husband and I stopped in for dinner. I really wanted to love this little restaurant because I appreciate small, family owned restaurants. The restaurant is charming and personal, it felt welcoming when we walked in. But I was honestly disappointed with the food! Especially with all of the great reviews, I was really hoping for more. We were warmly welcomed and the service was attentive. We ordered the gnocchi in tomato basil cream sauce and the lasagna. We each started with soup. I had the minestrone and my husband had the soup of the day, a Tuscan soup with sausage, spinach, beans, and potato. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. I love lasagna and often order lasagna when we go out for Italian. The lasagna was a let down and left me unsatisfied. There was no meat in the lasagna and it was very heavy on ricotta cheese, which overpowered the dish for me. I have never had meatless lasagna, so that was a surprise to me. The gnocchi faired better. The tomato basil cream sauce was thick and creamy with ribbons of fresh basil on top, but I wish it had been more flavorful. The highlight of the meal for me for was the two slices of garlic bread that came with each pasta dish. It was crunchy and buttery with good garlic flavor. I would have loved more bread! I love Italian food and how rich, flavorful and satisfying it is. Overall, this meal just left me wanting more. I was hoping to find a new favorite local Italian spot, but I wasn’t inspired to come back.

Great little place for dinner and lunch. My husband and I have had takeout dinner from here a few times now and it always seems to hit the spot! Their spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parm were fantastic… just classic Italian but not too salty which I loved! Our company ordered the lunch boxes from here and I felt it was exceptional value. Sandwich, a delicious one I may add, drink, chips, little pasta salad and dessert for 8.99…I should eat here everyday for that value! If you’re in this area, this place is a must!

Ordered food n drinks. Can’t believe my husband was refused a drink for not having a state issued ID. His consulate ID that states his age is not enough. Waiter explains police can come in to check. their establishment. Really! Is this place verifying age or legal status?

OMG! This place has been here 24 years. I missed out! Great food! The server Jeff suggested a great wine pairing. My Marsala with a side of spaghetti w/marinara was perfect! Doug’s ravioli with a meatball had his eyes rolling! Mr and Mrs. B have a great thing going ! Go see them !!

I go out of my way to get pizza take out from here but they offer lots of other wonderful items. They make most of their own ravioli, the mussels are fantastic, and great Italian cookies! If you’re at the Mills, skip the big chains nearby and get something made by a real chef.

Maybe I went on an off day but this place was terrible… I ordered spaghetti marinara and chicken parm. They gave me a chicken sandwich and didn’t even acknowledge that the order was wrong. The service was soo rude from ordering it on the phone to picking it up. There was no one in the restaurant, yet I still waited five minutes to pick up my order while they talked. It just wasn’t a pleasant experience.

After checking out the reviews my cousin and I decided to take the surprisingly quick trip to Bono’s– and we are glad we did. We were immediately and warmly greeted not only by the staff but by the fantastic smells coming from the kitchen. It felt like walking into a place we used to frequent on the east coast. Before full dinner service begins at 4:00 pm — orders are placed at the register and they bring the food to your table for you. We had the delicious, perfectly breaded, just enough sauce eggplant parm on a grinder roll. I did not take a pic because we wolfed it down too fast. We were downright giddy to have a taste of home. We also sampled the house made meatballs as well as the sausage — both did not disappoint. The restaurant also has a large selectin of traditional desserts, a grab and go case and a small grocery shelf with specialty items. The most pleasant part of our experience was the genuine interaction with the staff. They were incredibly outgoing, attentive, personable and patient while we peppered them with questions. The owner –Al– chatted with us about the dinner menu and was a really nice gentleman. It felt like we were visiting with old friends and we look forward to going back soon.

So I had my first bomb today– With a kick of heat… Honestly, I like this place, but this particular sandwich didn’t do it for me… I like flavor with my heat, and I felt it was lacking a bit of that. However, the owners are real nice and I will be back to try an Italian!

Excellent Italian food! Sue and Al bring the Boston north end flavor to this original Italian joint, been around for 25years. Been here half a dozen times and it always seems to satisfy. Right down the street from carraba’s, Olive Garden, macaroni grille — avoid the crowds and chains and add this to the mix. The weekend specials always delivery. Minestrone soup is the best around. The pasta and red sauces are just right and made from scratch of course. And leave room for their specialty deli desserts, especially the tiramisu, hands down the best in town! Better than vinnolas or Vincenzo’s in the dessert department. Oh and they even have teronne candy for 75cents, hard to find around these parts!

Stopped in for lunch. I had the spaghetti and meatballs on the servers recommendation. My girlfriend had the eggplant panini. My spaghetti and meatballs was excellent. And if you knew me you would know I am very picky about spaghetti and meatballs. It’s my fav! My girlfriends eggplant was, according to her very flavorful. But the eggplant was really, really, thin. Had the carrot cake for desert. It might have been the best carrot cake I have ever had.
