Van’s Nails

MP C. I can’t imagine how you could write such a horrible review. I love this place and I’m quite picky about the tools being sterilized. Your review shocked me and actually made me very angry. Ive been going to Van’s for a few years and I have only the greatest things to say about it. The tools have always been sterilized and the sink and the area around it is super clean. Sanny does my pedicures and she is very careful about trimming my cuticles. I could go on and on about how happy I am to have found Sanny and Van’s but I will say this MP C… you must’ve been having a very bad day! Or else you were not at Van’s.

I cannot believe we are describing the same salon. I went to Van’s w/​my daughter based on all the great reviews. Wrong move! Based on the look of the shop — dirty — my daughter immediately cancelled her appointment. The staff was friendly but that’s not enough!
We don’t want infections!
I decided to go ahead w/​my manicure. I will not return.
The instruments were just lying on the table — no wrapping — no guarantee they were sterilized. Yes, there is an autoclave in the back but were my tools just sterilized? Who knows?
Cuticle removal was rough. Too severe and it hurt.
Onto washing my hands: step to the back to a dirty sink w/​old, and I mean old, nail brushes sitting in solution. How long have they sitting there? Not a good feeling.
I am looking for a nail salon that takes sterilization seriously.
I feel it’s the most important part of the process.
If you’re sterilizing properly one would think it would follow your shop would be clean.
We’re coming into your ‘space’. Please keep it clean!
I would not recommend Van’s Nails.

This is an amazing nail shop. I come here with my mom and daughter and have always been pleased. You should definitely call for an appointment.

I have been going to Vans Nails for 2 ½ years and have nothing but good things to say! They have a wide selection of colors for no chip, opi, and essie. Every time I get my nails done I leave happy! I recommend this place to all my friends!

Horrible. Just got my nails done an hour ago and they look like they were done a week ago. The gel is not filed down smoothly and the polish either has bubbles or has little fuzzies stuck in it. Also, the gel is stuck to my skin rather than the nail. I will never go back, not even to have them fix it

I love this place! Have been going here since they opened. Have tried a couple other places but nothing compares. My nails are always fabulous and they last longer then any other place! They have great specials Monday-​Wednesday. You can walk-​in but it might be better to call and make an appointment. Every employee does a great job, so it doesn’t matter who you get. They can do regular mani and pedi or the 2 week no chip. Trust me they are awesome. I don’t live in Glenview but I drive here to get my nails done.

This is a very low key nail salon but they are very competent and super relaxing! The prices are good too!

I’ve been going to Van’s nails for a few years now and Sanny and her team are great. I’ve always had short nails and I always ended up chipping my nails after a few days (due to new mommy hands — aka always washing hands). Sanny’s no chip manicure helped my nails grow and I felt like I could actually wear a color and not have to worry about chips. Their pedicures are outstanding! Great service, great price. I HIGHLY recommend them.
