This place is a great authentic Philly water ice place.(Similar to NY Italian ices but better.) My family and I were visiting from NY and our friends brought us to this outdoor ice cream & water ice place. The ices & gelato were awesome with tasty bits of fruit. My daughter got a cookie dough ice cream cone & said it was the best she ever had. The service was good & the owner was very friendly. Next time we are in the Philly area, we will definitely stop in again. I heard that they have good pretzels, so I will have to try them and compare them to NY pretzels.

Nice little walk up window. Parking lot ample. Nice server. Energy boost before afternoon showings in Roxborough.

This is my go to water ice play after mountain biking at Valley Green. Servings have real piece of fruit mixed in. Don’t think I’ve had the rude service mentioned in another review. Though nearly every time I go there is a teenager working.

The owner of Esposito’s is a guy named Nick. He always looks serious but has a really funny sense of humor when you get to know him. The water ice and gelato there is as good as it gets and much better than Rita’s. Also, they have real Philly soft pretzels, not those fake things the other«big name» place sells. The custard is delicious and the milkshakes are very popular among the«regulars». I’ve been told the ice cream cakes Esposito’s can supply are delicious, too. I highly recommend Esposito’s!

This place has the best water ice in the area. Lemon is our favorite. Their soft serve ice cream is tops. They use the highest quality ingredients. We dream about it all winter long, until they open in the spring.

While the product at this establishment is adequate, the service is abysmal. Every time I have visited with my kids there is always the same older guy working(50’s, dark hair) and he is unbelievably rude. I presume that he thinks his sarcastic quips and comments are«funny»… They’re not. He is highly offensive and should probably take a class or two in customer service. Most recently, when my daughter asked for a spoon and some napkins for her ice creams he replied«what else do you want, a car and college tuition too!» He also refused to provide her with a receipt. She was extremely upset by his attitude. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Guess what? Esposito’s added white painted benches just to the side of his shop as of Spring 2012! No more sitting in the back alley.(Do you think they read my original review)? Now gets a solid 4.5!

When I moved to the area last summer I was dying to find a local ice spot. First time I tried Esposito’s ice I knew I found what I was looking for. The ice is the perfect consistency, which is something the chains neglect. The taste is as good as any other ice i’ve had. Staff is very friendly. Prices are incredible. You have a dollar or two and pass this place on Bethlehem Pike, you should definitely give it a try! Only place I’ll go for ice in the area.
