My girlfriend and I purchased a townhouse that needed a lot of work. Having watched several home makeover shows on HGTV and how-​to videos on youtube, we thought we can do the work ourselves. We are both young and able-​bodied.
We demolished our kitchen and started removing the popcorn off of our ceiling. After 3 or 4 weeks have passed, we realized that it was a lot harder than we anticipated. We couldn’t move in because our place wasn’t ready and we were already paying our mortgage. Instead of wasting more time doing the work ourselves, we started looking for a contractor.
We asked our friends, checked Unilocal and Craigslist; we had several contractors give us estimates on the time it would take and total cost. A lot of the estimates were really high; moreover, some of the contractors we dealt with changed their estimates. It was discouraging and compounded the already stressful situation we were in. Fortunately, we found High Kitchen and Bath.
High Kitchen and Bath was upfront with the expenses that would be involved in the work and they were very easy to talk to. We felt comfortable through the entire process and they gave us the best deal. My girlfriend often changed her mind on what’s to be done and High Kitchen and Bath was very patient.
We visited our place often while they were doing the work. We were very impressed with we saw that instead of just having our ceilings and kitchen cabinets fixed, we had them paint our place, remodel our bathrooms (including the plumbing), put up crown molding, install laminated floors and update the banisters on our stairs. We couldn’t be happier with the end result; our place looked beautiful.
I hope my review does this company justice because they did a terrific job on our place and I am grateful for the work they’ve done. We purchased a place you can’t live in and High Kitchen and Bath gave us a home. Give them a shot — you’ll be happy you did.
