Pastries were very good and authentic Persian. It’s such a shame that they can’t match their well-made pastries with at least average customer service. We bought about 5 boxes of pastries that we wanted to bring back with us to Washington DC which cost close to $ 60. And we asked if they had some tape so we could tape the boxes and one of the staff members said that a cashier would be able to tape them up for us. After we got to the cashier and paid for everything, then requested to have the boxes taped she goes, «That’s not my job. You want tape, you go buy it and tape it up yourself.» It was unbelievable. No excuse for this type of attitude.

The food is alright. It’s not outstanding buy it’s also not bad. BUT the customer service is absolutely terrible! All women are disrespectful. They all need training!

Poor customer service, very rude. Pastries are average, but the poor service ruined it.

Tiramisu was ridiculously dry. Would not go back and buy that particular cake. Hopefully the rest of the cakes aren’t as dry as that one

Delicious pastries but note to management… it’s disrespectful to have 2 workers just talking and folding boxes while a customer is waiting to be assisted. It was clear that I’m standing there for them to get an item that’s out of reach. Instead they look at me NOT once, but many times and continue folding boxes. I asked them, can I get assistance? They say«you’ll be helped shortly» while the other workers were hustling. Though once again, the pastries are delicious, consider yourselves lucky for that! :-)

What you get: Mediocre pastries and cakes at a cheap price. Beware, the employees act as if they are serving a prison sentence. If you can get past the poor service and 20+ minute wait, I would say give it a try. My palette is partial to French pastries and the Armenian baked goods just don’t do it for me.

Worst customer service in town… I stood in their bakery for 15 minutes, got totally ignored! By 4 employees whom were not busy, they stood around yapping away in Armenian, which isn’t my quarrel, I know where I’m at! But ignoring customers is beyond rude! This isn’t cultural! Armenians are great people! The folks in this business JUSTSUCK! my advise, go to Sarkys Pastry on Glendale Ave, or Karina’s Cake House, also on Glendale Ave. PS, I’ve lived in Glendale for 25 years, ridiculously, I have put up with these people’s shit at this bakery for 15 years!!! Today was my last day at their dump. Pastries are good and inexpensive, but not worth the ulcers… Today they literally laughed at me while leaving… FUCKTHEM

They are the best Persian/Armenian bakery that I know in Glendale. Try their cakes, specially for Birthdays, every one will ask you about the bakery. I like their Gata, dried Nuts and I love that I can Haft seen in this bakery. People are friendly and helpful and most of them can speak different languages –English, Persian and Armenian!!!

Persian Armenian bakery with strange customer service. Those outside of our culture need to realize these people aren’t being racist and whatnot when they’re ignoring you and providing zero assistance. It’s a part of the culture where they feel privileged and don’t feel the need to service anyone. The ones who migrated straight from that part of the world have a hard time smiling and being ‘normal’ so to say so just accept their rude behavior for what it is. They apparently don’t know how to adjust to normal civilization. Oddballs aside, I do enjoy some of their products like their mini potato boreks with dill for only $ 0.60 a piece — they also make them with ground beef in puff pastry, similar to empanadas. Also enjoy their sweet cheese pastry which I’m kinda sorta addicted to. Products are über inexpensive, cookies cost about $ 6/lb and sliced cakes go for around a buck or so.

So today I walked in to the bakery. It was not busy so I thought it’d be a quick stop. There was three ladies«working» one of them was helping a gentlemen. The other two were sipping coffee and chatting away(I thought on their break). When I walked in they all saw me but only the busy one greeted me but the other two knew I was there standing waiting as they chatted and sipped. After awhile a older Armenian woman walked and the ladies snapped and cheerfully greeted and helped her(still ignoring ME as I was waiting) I didn’t say anything. The other realized her fault and latter came to help me out. There was a clear display of favoritism by race, it truly saddens me to witness that this still exists.

Once upon a time the parking for this place was a tiny but spirited battleground where bloodshed was likely at any given moment. They then expanded to a slightly bigger parking area and it just became a slightly bigger battleground — customers are still too slow driving in, too slow deciding where to park, too slow driving out and generally inconsiderate all round, so go to this place on days that you are feeling particularly patient and zen, so you won’t be drawn into any arguments. Inside you will find a huge range of sweets delightfully damaging to your health, and of course mostly quite delicious. The various pastries, cakes and dessert items are all pretty tasty. Their mixed nuts are damn great– though not cheap. There isn’t much room to move around by the way and the place is almost always busy, so be warned. Since customers are mostly uncivilized, so are the servers. They are randomly irritable, bored, unfriendly, fed up with their lives, indifferent, unprofessional and unpleasant — all the great qualities you would want in your kids basically! But their stuff pretty much flies off the shelf with no effort, so they don’t have to worry about improving their attitude, nor remodeling the place which is so firmly stuck in the dark ages I’m surprised they don’t still use an abacus… And so 3 stars it is, based on the overall experience that sometimes truly borders on the miserable, otherwise the quality of their products deserves a higher rating.

This place is a jam if you are Middle Eastern or specially Persian. It has all the goodies and suites that you could want from dried fruits and other Persian desserts and suites two delicious cakes. The staff is very friendly hours are good and location is very convenient. Also the prices are great. They are so good a lot of Persian supermarkets get there sweets delivered from this place. I’m getting a lot of the sweets for my wedding from this place. The place is nothing spectacular as far as being nice but it has all the necessities and everything you would want from the bakery.

Just like other Unilocalers stated… ZERO customer service. The girls here look extremely unhappy and annoyed. I asked if the pastry bread was sweet or the salted one. The girl mumbled something and walked away. Very rude! If you are Armenian you have a better chance of being serviced. If not, no one will even bother looking at you. Take your money to Portos where the bakery is fresh and customer service is important.

Another city gem on Colorado. A mix of apricot cookies, nazook, almond pastries, fresh breads and golden dates. You always leave with a devilish grin. Haha!

Their catering are really good especially their Gata(Nazook) and make sure to try the Yerevnanyan. Prices are good, and staff are alright. small store where you won’t spend too much time. Quick in and Out Only reason I gave 4 stars is because their interior design is really old and it needs improvement! Otherwise really good store!

The pastries are good. their nuts, pistachio and cashews are old, soggy and stale everything else is worst than HORRIBLE. first off NOONESMILETHERE. the most unhappy place i ever been. then u ask them for help instead of saying«I will help u in moment this person is next» or something like that, they turn around like u r not even there and just asked them a Question. HOWRUDE. Customer service 0. BIGFATZERO. Selling rotten bread(sangak) but when I took it back and pointed out the MOLD the girl who worked there with big FAT attitude tells me «Really???» $ 4 for rotten molded bread which you can get freshly baked from central market for $ 3 then she has the audacity to question the obvious MOLD. I should of took a picture of it and take the bread to health deportment. This people do not know how to talk to customers, how to answer them and HOWTOHELPTHEM. it is not only this one time deal. They are like that day in day out STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACENOPASTRYINTHEWORLDWORTHPUTTINGUPWITHOUTOFLESSONSWHOWORKTHERE.

Normally I take customer service into account when I’m reviewing a place, but honestly when I’m getting some pastries to-go customer service isn’t my number 1 concern– it’s the quality of the pastries. Yesterday was the first time I went to this bakery. My mom and I were like little kids in a candy shop. We literally just about got one of everything. Sure, the lady that was helping my mom and I looked exasperated with us… but honestly who cares. She didn’t say anything and we got our pastries and left, so it wasn’t important. Now to what WAS important, the pastries. OMG so fresh and SO good. We got one of everything, as I said earlier, just to see what we liked the best so we’d know what to order next time. My favorite by far was the filo dough with the date in the middle. They brought them fresh out of the oven for us and the were delectable. Honestly, they were the best persian/armenian pastry I’ve ever had, and I don’t normally even really like dates! Everything else was great. I wish I knew the exact names to things so I could go more into detail, but another favorite of ours was the almond and honey little mini-bar type things. I think they may have been the #12? They were amazing. The prices on these pastries were unreal as well. $ 5 per pound? We got a huge box full of fresh random pastries for $ 7??? Amazing. Also: If you’re a fan of Persian ice cream,(which if you haven’t tried you NEEDTOGOTRYBECAUSEIT’S AMAZING) come here and buy a jug of the Mashti Malone’s ice cream. Oh man, I honestly freaked out when I saw that they carried this ice cream, it’s so much more convenient then driving to the La Brea Mashti Malone ice cream shop! They have the rosewater flavor as well as the saffron rosewater flavor, just in case anyone cares. So to wrap up this rambling review: 1. go to Flor De Café bakery 2. who cares if they’re rude, the pastries are great/fresh/priced well 3. get the Mashti Malone ice cream.
