Just got a veggie burrito and quesadilla. The quesadilla is flavorless and the veggie burrito was so tasteless I want to go back there and throw it at the people who made it. If I wanted a salad I would ask for it. This burrito has like 3 beans, NO guacamole, and full(I mean it’s 80% of the burrito) of salad. Yuck!!! They don’t accept cards — just cash. I don’t walk around with cash because I had gotten mugged before and this was definitely an inconvenience. They have an ATM machine that charges you a fee for taking cash from it and to top it off your bank charges you a fee for not using one of their ATMs. It’s 2012… Shouldn’t all places accept cards by now? Needless to say I am NEVER going back and neither should you if you don’t want to be extremely disappointed.

THISISNOT A UPDATEDREVIEW… I know it says so but let me explain!, my PREVIOUS review was for BANDITO’S TACOS which is now CLOSED, it has reopened as Victoria’s Taco DIFFERENTOWNERS so leave it to Unilocal to combine the reviews! So I noticed the NEWBUSINESS and decided to go back and give them a try, it’s early am so I decided on a Breakfast Burrito of which they have several options, I got the one with Bacon, Ham and Sausage and I asked them to hold the ham and sausage and just give me Bacon, Bacon, Bacon, Eggs, Potato’s and Cheese. Bacon, Bacon, Bacon Breakfast Burrito — Nice large burrito but let’s see what we got inside YES, plenty of Bacon, eggs were cooked nicely and cheese was cheesy the only thing that keeps this from being 5-Star is the potato’s needed to be cooked more, BROWN the damn potato’s PLEASE4-Stars Salsa Roja — Yeah flavorful, spicy and off the hook good! I’ll be back to see what they offer for tacos, stay tuned.

Its not Banditos anymore. Its open late and on the weekends now too. The new owner Leo is a great guy. The food is fantastic and tastes very authentic! Nice family business with good people. I love that the chicken has great flavor and is not dry. I will be back often.

Worker went from sprinkling cheese on my burrito with his bare hands to accepting my money at the cashier and back to bare hand rolling a burrito without washing his hands. YUCK!

Everything that Stephen G and Shanna B said… but the difference is I’m gonna tell you about the TACOCHALLENGE! Eat more tacos than the previous champion and you take their place as King of the Taco’s!.. well that’s what I’m calling it. I’ve been here twice, once when they first opened(And there was no champion) and second to do the challenge(which by then there was one dethrone and a few failures). I wanted to be King of the Tacos… The current champ had eaten 14 street tacos(All chicken, you’ll find that this is the key) and I was going to beat this guy! I had to eat 15 street tacos of any meat of my choosing and if I won, I would get my picture on the wall and all the tacos for free(about $ 20). But you had to finish it all in 45 minutes(it may be an hour)… So I geared up for a taco frenzy. There were two previous contenders who attempted but only got to 7 and 9 tacos and their faces were already posted on the wall for the whole restaurant to see. I had no intention of being next on the wall of shame. I decided to mix up the meats: 6 chicken, 3 carnitas, 3 fish and 3 barbacoa… I had them all before so I knew that hey were all very tasty and would look great in my belly, so I grabbed a soda(not a good choice) and started digging in on my tacos. The chicken were so good and I pounded the 6 out in 8 minutes not a bad start, but then the carnitas. Fresh and succulent I found out 2 tacos in that I should have stuck with chicken and my love for variety might get the better of me. The meat, though tasty, was much heavier than the chicken, and with the onions and cilantro it started to get pretty monotonous. But I got through those and then the barbacoa… wait a sec, 1 bite in and I realized they had served me 3 carne asadas!(which if you’ve bee through an eating competition before, unless the beef is like butter, you’re jaw will lock up and cramp from the beef) so with the one bite I felt like I was going to die. They apologized but then I had to wait while they made me the barbacoa and the fish… after some time I had my final 6 tacos… I tried the barabcoa and though it was delicious I think that one taco jammed my jaws up so much that I couldnt chew anymore. But before I gave up I had a bite of the fish taco and had realized, had I stuck with just chicken and maybe a few fish tacos I might have been a contender… but alas… today was not my day to shine. After a grueling 50 minute battle of «Man vs. Food»…food won. But it wasn’t without perseverance and drive that got me to the 11 tacos. It just wasn’t my day to shine. And with the restaurant watching they snapped my photo and hung it on the wall of shame. But much like the Orochan Ramen of 2009 and in the words of our Govenator«I’ll be back»…

Just went back there after swearing the place off a year ago. I heard the management was new so I decided to give this place another shot. I was very happy that I did. Steven(New Manager) was probably the nicest person I’ve ever met, and the food is now AMAZING! Much better than before. If you’re wondering why I left in the first place I’ll tell you: The place was not as clean as I felt it should have been, and the staff was very complacent. Not going the extra mile or even the required distance. The food became lack-luster as well. I sat and had a conversation with Steven and told him why I had not been there in over a year and he assured me that the staff was all new. I ordered a Shrimp Burrito(Grilled shrimp not blackened) and was blown away by the size of the thing! I’m a big guy, and that was a big guy’s burrito! So. .. Yeah, I’m back!!! Thanks Bandito’s and Thanks Steven!

After my last review the manager contacted me and apologized for my experience. He explained that the policy was not to limit each person to only one salsa. He said he hoped I would give them another shot. I really appreciated that he contacted me and was apologetic and understanding about my feelings. I went in a couple weeks ago, and didnt tell them anything about my previous review or anything. The employees were all super nice, and while I ate my burrito there they did indeed let me have as many salsas as I wanted :) The food is still great, atmosphere nice. Yay for Banditos!

OMG, i use to eat there often until this new management took over. they changed the layout. the cash register does not exist. they use a calculator. they got rid of their combo which was reasonable priced 5.99−6.99. now in order for you to get a combo 8.99 +. the quality of food has gone down too. i don’t get it. it was a thriving business and don’t tell me it wasn’t the case ’cause when it was always busy before this new management took over. damn … im pissed! i used to like going there.

All around fantastic place! The service was fantastic. Super super sweet people. The $ 1 street tacos were really really awesome! Very clean and they have a lovely patio eating area outside. Go check it out for Cinco De Mayo. They got some great deals going on that day.

In the past couple of weeks, they’ve changed at least two things about this place. 1. One dollar tacos from 3−5pm 2. Open ’till 9pm now. These couple of facts led to me actually walking in there for the first time. And I approve. My tacos were made-to-order, and I mean that in the sense of they didn’t even grill the chicken until I had ordered it. A few extra minutes waiting sure, but certainly worth it. The place was cool, clean, friendly, and void of anything that could be labeled pretentious. Its kinda like one of those taco guy/taco stands, except much cleaner and not as nitty-gritty down home authentic.

The place was clean, service was friendly, and the food was great. Cooked to order, fresh and hot. Their really is something to be said for a place that, takes the time to do it right. You must give them a try.

To give this place one star is one star too many. First of all The Menu for this restaurant says that the Tacos that they serve are as authentic as the tacos they sell in Tepic Nayarit. ummm far from it, I go Home to my birthplace in Nayarit Twice a Year and to call these tacos authentic is to call Taco Bell Real Mexican Food. I have a feeling that the two positive reviews that this place has gotten, are probably from the owner or family members of the owner. The one and only time I went to this place, I asked the owners what part of Nayarit they were from and based on the gringo accent, I dont think they could point it out in a map. If you want to try real Nayarit Style tacos, save your money, buy an airline ticket, and go to the Tepic to see what I mean.

Yes! Good tortas DO exist in LA! I almost have tears in my eyes… this place is fantastic. Since moving to LA from San Diego, I have been so depressed with the burrito and torta situation. My friends have to listen to my endless bitching about how mexican food in LA is nothing compared to San Diego. No longer. Bandito’s tortas and burritos rival any that I have had before. I am so happy… I cannot wait to go back. It’s a small little place in an industrial part of Glendale, but it is super clean and nicely decorated. The two people working today were exceptionally friendly, too. And they have a habanero based salsa that is fantastic… a perfect match for the torta. I give this place a strong 5 stars and will begin spreading the word to my other San Diego ex-pats that there is decent mexican food here after all!

I visit SoCal quite a bit and I was told by a friend of mine that I needed to stop by this little place in Glendale for some of the best Mexican food around… so I did when I was there last time — WOW! He wasn’t kidding, the food was awesome and probably the freshest«fast-food» that I have seen. Very friendly staff and the prices were beyond reasonable. If you’re ever near there… stop in! HIGHLYRECOMMEND!

Great food at a great price. During these economic times good food is hard to get at a great price. Probably the freshest meet in town for a Mexican joint ad its not all greasy. The menu has a great variety of food from burgers, sandwiches, and all you traditional mexican food. Staff is friendly and restaurant is clean. Worth a try and you wont be let down.
