The first time I came to Angela’s it was a cold and rainy day. I was still new to my job so I was wandering around trying to find somewhere new to eat when the rain decided to start. I was foolishly without a jacket, so I ducked into the first place I saw, which turned out to be Angela’s. I got a chicken salad sandwich and a soup. It was really good. The place was quite too, which I enjoyed very much. I came back a couple of times more because the food was good and it was always empty inside. However since exploring the area more I have found new favorites. That isn’t to say that what you can get here isn’t good, it just feels now to be a little pricer and little less stand out. I still think this is a good place to go, but it no longer tops my list. I 13⁄100

Came for soup once upon someone’s recommendation. Was feeling dreary because of cloudy weather(on the rare occasion it visits us in SoCal), and the café’s chicken soup warmed my soul. :)

meh. average food. They seem like nice people and the feta on the greek salad was abundant and fresh but the selection is limited and the lettuce was borderline.

The lentil soup is absolutely amazing! This place uses fresh ingredients and the food tastes delicious and actually good for you. Total gem in Glendale. Such a deal as well

I’ve been going to Angela’s for I think 4 years now. I’m super-picky about food, very health conscious and clean-conscious, and Angela’s is one of the few lunch spots I love going to. She cares about food, about people, and has some of the most unique and refined recipes I’ve found. Anyone who could complain about the turkey meatball soup must be crazy. That soup is some of the best tasting, freshest tasting food on earth!

The grilled chicken wrap is AMAZING. It consists of marinated chicken breast, grilled bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, and salsa. It’s warm and delicious and best thing you’ll find on the menu! The second best would have to the lentil soup which is deliciously healthy and hearty; more importantly, not too salty! The chicken salad sandwich fell a little short because it was drenched in mayo and didn’t feel very healthy at all. Free 90 minute parking the structure! No validation needed!

This place is about 5 minutes from my offce and let me tell you… It is absolutely awesome. I did not what to think about when I walked in but lord be hold it was a delight. Their lentil soup is to die for and they add beets(yummy). Always a little weird walking into a new place but I found them very warm and kind. Try the lentil soup it is a meal on it’s own with a piece of bread!!!

I was in Glendale for a few days, and I was really happy to find this place simply because I’m kind of in a phase where I like to eat only what I cook with very simple ingredients. It is hard to find something that is simple and healthy, so I was so glad to walk past this place and ate here twice. You can see your food cooking in the small kitchen, and they have fresh carrot/apple/orange juice from an actual juicer they make right there for you. I asked for apple slices on the side. My omelet was like I would make at home. Such a life-saver in Glendale.

Angela’s is my go-to place for lunch. Located across the street from my job, it’s super convenient, fresh and Angela couldn’t be more sweet and willing to please. Arsin is also always friendly and helpful. My favorites are the greek salad(with tons of feta on top, yummmm), the turkey club, and the fresh soups(I love the turkey meatball). My absolute favorite thing is the turkey chili which comes with freshly baked cornbread. So perfect on a cold winter day. It’s only available on random days so sometimes it’s not available to satisfy my craving! The menu is quite limited, so if I could make a suggestion it would be to have more of a variety and if I’m going to nit-pick, the chicken on top of my greek salad(extra $ 2) is very skimpy. Other than that, this place is really good. P. S. Their freshly baked cookies are really the perfect way to end any meal.

A friend and I came here for lunch. The sandwiches were tasty and the service was excellent. I recommend it for a sandwich or salad. My only gripe is that this place is not really a bistro, so the name is a bit misleading. It is a sandwich shop bistro [Fr. bee-stroh] : 1. a small, modest, European-style restaurant or café that usually serves wine

Ummmmm, okay, so I’m not sure if there is something wrong with my taste buds or just that everyone that has reviewed this place lacks any taste buds. A little confused because my taste buds were pleased with my breakfast this morning… So, I’ve been wanting to try this place for the past few months or longer, today was the day. The guy who took my order was very nice and helpful. I ordered the light special– ½ chicken salad sandwich and lentil soup. My friend ordered the ½ turkey sandwich and tortilla soup. Now, my sandwich was delicious which made me so anxious to taste my lentil soup. Probably one of THEEEWORST soups I have tasted in my life, no exaggeration. It lacked everything! Spices, salt, lemon… whatever else. That soup needed some life! Tasteless and bland. sorry angela, I had to toss it, and I hate tossing food which made me even more upset. And you know, I remember reading that Angela’s Bistro was very close to a «mom’s home-cooked meal»… I definitely beg to differ. My friends turkey sandwich, well he said it was«Eh, okay, I wouldn’t order it again.» He said it was plain and not much taste. The tortilla soup you ask? HORRIBLE again! It had a little curry taste, but like my lentil soup, no taste. After he tasted it, he simply said that he wouldn’t eat here again. I’m pretty disappointed and honestly, I’m not sure I will come here again. If I do, I’ll be safe and order the chicken salad sandwich. Hopefully, it will be as good as today’s.

I found myself in Glendale again and decided to visit with a friend. What’s better than good food and conversation with a good friend? He suggested Angela’s Bistro but warned it is small with very limited seating so we may have a little wait… We waited to be seated but only a few minutes. I ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich and loved it! It was served on sourdough with my choice of potato or sun chips. They offered iced tap water in addition to other bottled/caned drinks. I didn’t experience the«bottled water only» issue mentioned by other Unilocalers… My friend had Turkey Meatball Soup which is his standard fare here. It looked so good that I ordered a small cup to go for later! Everything(except the chips and bread) is homemade that day so its all very fresh. Angela came out from the very small kitchen and greeted my friend by name! Very friendly service with great, homemade food. Check out my photos of our lunch…

After reading all the great reviews on Unilocal I figured me and a couple of my coworkers would give it a try. Unfortunately, this restaurant does not live up to it’s «Yelputation». The restaurant is small and quaint located on Wilson just off Brand. The employees were generally nice and helpful if you asked them about menu selections. They do not offer tap water which I think one of the other reviews indicated it was a bottled water only establishment, as indicated previously by another Unilocaler. Angela was even our«server» and even offered to put a wedge of lemon in my glass of water which I thought was very nice and a little unexpected. I ordered the German Sausage sandwich which was rather disappointing. At the very least I was expecting a German Sausage(thin brat) cut length wise on a ciabatta with some veggies and what I got was a warm and sliced up Vienna Sausage w/veggies and a handful of kettle chips on a plate for $ 8+. My coworker opted for their smoked Turkey which was pretty good, but it was nothing more than your average Turkey sandwich w/fresh veggies on toasted wheat bread for the same $ 8+ fare. I think given the cost and what you get there is better lunch to be had in the area. *On another note, the restaurant seems to be popular with the girls for whatever reason.

I just discovered that they deliver. $ 15 minumum. Now I can order the best cornbread in the world and have it delivered right to me. I am excited to try this out.

Angela specializes in «service with a smile» and the food is quality. I especially recommend breakfast with bacon. It is a homey place and you will find you get served really fast… so it is a great carry out place. In fact, Angela’s Bistro delivers sandwiches to our church at noon every 1st and 3rd Wednesday for our Glendale Noon Concerts. Rev. Charles Updike First Baptist Church of Glendale

Today for Lunch ! What a great place this is! They have been open for 3 years now… where the hell have I been? Well, that doesn’t matter now, cuz I am a new fan of this Bistro ;-) I asked my co-worker if she had ever eaten here and she had and she said it was good. I was in the mood for a salad so I ordered the Rustic Greek Salad and added chicken. Let me tell you… it was sooo good. There was a ton of feta on this salad… I was a happy camper because I am a cheese whore! LMAO! There was a lot of greek olives and tomatoes too. Usually when you order a greek salad you have send out a search party for the olives, feta and tomatoes. Not at Angelas! My co-worker ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich and she loved it! Everything is homemade and that is always a good thing :-) We will be back!

I’ll keep this simple… Great for spot for lunch. I’d recommend going solo or 2 people at max, as this place is pretty small and quaint. I ordered a cup of chicken & rice soup and half a chicken salad sandwich with some sun chips and a bottled water($ 8.25 total). It was so delicious! The staff was so friendly and I can’t help but be happy that the parking structure was free for the first 90 minutes. In Glendale, free parking doesn’t come easy!

We were looking for soup for lunch and found this place on Unilocal. It’s a cute little place and the fried egg sandwich was absolutely delicious! Also — they have fresh cookies that are so buttery and yummy, you have to try at least one of them. Prices are really reasonable, and Angela was super friendly. This may just be our new lunch spot!

I went in there for lunch a few days ago and I thought the place was really nice. It had a very country, shabby chic feel to it that I personally loved. The food was really good and the staff was even nicer. I thought the chicken soup was phenomenal, I haven’t had homemade soup like that since I was a small girl. It tastes just like my mom used to make. I think it’s a wonderful little place for lunch. I’m planning on taking my husband for some breakfast, it looks delicious too. The parking situation wasn’t ideal but it’s like that everywhere in Glendale. The owner did tell me to park on Maryland, there is a structure that provides you with up to 90 minutes free. I am definetely coming back next week. If your a student like I am, this is the perfect place to sit down with your lunch and study.
