This place is just plain WEIRD. They have alcohol behind the counter, but they don’t have their liquor license yet? They make REALLYWEAK drinks with this alcohol, which makes me question if they just handed me a fruity juice and lied to me. Voila! This alone makes me NEVER want to come back here. Oh, and what’s MORE. They charged me TENDOLLARS for this fruity juice. And beer isn’t that cheap either. At 2AM men come and crowd up the joint? There’s only one bathroom, and it’s connected to the Lounge next door so there’s always a line of scantily clad women and men staring down anyone who passes. PLUS, because it’s connected to the place next door, a wafting smell of smoke permeates through this place. I ended up smelling like smoke at the end of the night. The DJ in the booth isn’t a real DJ, he just does the fade out/fade in technique from a playlist. My friend referred to it as the«strip club» mix. He would only play a song for a minute or two and then fade in to another song. I liked his selection, don’t get me wrong. The songs were all poppy and upbeat and made me want to dance, but I was sad I didn’t get to hear the whole part of a song, or at least a little MORE of a song. I guess the only good thing was the bouncers were nice and some people behind the counter were friendly. I hope I don’t get killed for writing this review. Do Armenians have mafia? I’m doomed. :(If I end up dead, you’ll know why… Unilocal KILLED me. My friend from the middle part of the country said it was like being back home. But my friend, you are not in Nebraska or wherever you are from. You are in Glendale. Everything about this place was odd. Like it was a front for some other operation. Plus, at 2AM, they closed the front doors. Shut ‘em down. So we were literally trapped and had to go around the back way, past the club with its pumping music, out where the parking garage was. Just. Plain. Weird. A very odd experience. Perhaps it’s just a family run place — after all, it seemed like the whole family was there towards the end of the night.

This bar/lounge is not to shabby! It was good times coming in at 1am with some friends for drinks and conversation. I’m usually a mix drink/beer drinker and I often stick with the jack n’ coke, hoegarden or hef, but this time I decided to have some wine since I felt like having something light and good for the heart. I wasn’t sure what type of wine would have satisfied the palate so the bartender suggested the pomegranate red wine which he gave me a sample of before I could even decide. It was excellent and $ 9 a glass so I went with that. Great that a a friend picked up the tab for all of us. The owner who’s also the bartender and bouncer was cool and considerate since he let our group stay a half hour after closing to finish up our drinks and conversation. He also recommended to stop in on Thursdays since its free stand-up comedy night with a 1 drink purchase minimum. They also have a decent food menu with not so typical cheap bar food prices. All of their beer on tap is 6 bucks except for the bud light which is $ 4. Oh yea. they don’t have a happy hour since they open at 6pm daily.

We went there last night to watch a friend of a friend’s stand up act… yeah, I know at Shooter’s. Suprisingly the 3 out of the 4 comedians were quite good. It’s ashame that the bar wasn’t…so I give them… 3STARS for providing FREE entertainment and supporting comedians. 1STAR for having(2) pool tables, an electronic dart board thingy However…NOMORESTARSFORPRETENDINGTHATYOUHADJACKDANIELWHENYOUDIDN’T ANDTHAT’S WHYYOUPOUREDTHEDRINKBEHINDTHECOUNTER — minus 2 stars! Note to all bartenders: If you’re out, just say that you’re out. Note to all future comedians: Be prepare and never talk about a $ 60 blow-up Va-J-J for 15 minutes.

This is a pretty decent bar in Glendale and had a clean and mellow vibe to it. It seems that the bar can transform from a sports bar into a lounge. The décor was nice, but simple and there are only two pool tables with a few t.v.‘s around. I ordered their chili cheese fries and it was surprisingly good, especially for bar food. A couple of friends of mine said that the drinks were too weak, which is true because they ordered AMF’s and did not get hammered compared to other bars they’ve been to. Other than that, I would probably come back to because you can find free parking, no cover charge(when i went), and chill atmosphere with a diverse crowd. This place would be a tad bit better if they had a patio or some sort.

only beer, wine, and soju… so it recieves the 3 star rating. despite the limitation of alcohol choice, they do have a nice beer selection, and a variety of wines(although the same vineyard, a good choice of purveyor). a pretty decent bar menu… all the staples are there: burgers, wraps, pot pie, buffalo wings, pizza, fried zucchini, nachos, etc. this spot hasnt been open long, but it has a great feel in the interior… very loungey with a chill, mellow, non-hollywood vibe… well, yah, it’s on Brand Blvd., it cant be too LA! haha :) in all, the bartender, Narek, was nice and attentive. oh, did i mention they give out free in-shell peanuts? enjoyyyy! xo– andrea
