I’m pretty guilty about not reviewing The places that I frequent the most. So here it is, my review of America MKT. When I first moved to this neighborhood I was really impressed by how many bodegas there are in a 1 mile square radius.(Some say bad thing, I always say good thing! Super convenient!) I travel a lot for work so I’m not home very often, but on my off days you can catch me in the restaurant in the back of the store buying two tacos every day! The tacos are good, and the total only comes out to $ 2.50!!! Even if I wanted to make my own tacos, there is no way possible that I could ever make them for even $ 2.50!!! This deal is so good that I am always here, it’s way better than doing the dishes. I come here so often, that it doesn’t even matter that I don’t speak Spanish. If you plan on coming here and enjoying these delicious tacos as well, you better make sure that you can at least order in Spanish. The prices make this place a four star review, however the only knock is that most of the employees do not speak English very well. There is nothing wrong with that, however it can be difficult at times, especially because all the signage is in Spanish. I would like to try some of the specials, however my Spanish is broken at best and sometimes I have to take my girlfriend with me just to translate. They also make breakfast burritos that are delicious! Make sure to get the red salsa, it’s pretty savory. I have yet to try anything else besides the tacos, burritos, and the tortas. But I can tell you that all three are made well. As if $ 2.50 wasn’t a good enough deal for two tacos, they have a happy hour every day from 5PM to 8PM! Plus you can get whatever pregame stuff that you need for a night out on the town! Because you’re at the liquor store already! My favorite taco(in case you were wondering) is the al pastor with red salsa! Try it!

This review is for the pretty awesome restaurant and carniceria inside the market. The employees are extremely friendly and nice! It looks a little strange being in market with pretty much everything u could think of and then all of a sudden TAHDAH there is this hole in the wall«restaurant» in the back but once you look passed the interior and get enough courage to order something, you may be surprised! I decided for my first visit to order something that’s not hard to mess up but also let’s me know if I should return to this place… Tacos de asada! The meat was nice and tender, thick cuts and the tortillas(made there) were tasty! The red salsa is also on point and spicy! My bf ordered a torta which was also yummy and the bread was nice and soft! My two tacos and his combination plate only cost us $ 10 :) I was satisfied and I shall venture out and enjoy other menu items when I return! Plus you can call in and order ahead to avoid waiting in line!

Driving by America Market, I saw the words carniceria and then restaurant and in that strange way that happens felt compelled to immediately pull over and eat something — despite having already had a meal maybe an hour before. Inside is your typical neighborhood market with a register and a deli counter and behind you all the snacks and beverages you could imagine. Walking up to the deli despite signs for sandwiches doesn’t get you anything — someone will say Restaurant? and point vaguely to a back section where, near some beaded curtains, you’ll spot through a window a man residing over a grill. Oh so this is what a restaurant looks like? Still $ 5 even got me a decent pastor torta with some chips and a buck more gets you a drink. It came with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, beans, creama, something that sort of resembled guacamole and the main, here pastor. The restaurant serves up your typical Mexican fare(tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, etc…) and possibly serve deli sandwiches as well.
