I didn’t get sick. Food is okay. Price is high for noodle dish, maybe it is Glen Ellyn.

I had to give it a three star because of how greasy it is. The flavors are very good but it’s just so darn greasy! I tried a little bit of everything. Shrimp fried rice was again very good but greasy. Sweet-and-sour chicken was good flavored but just soggy. The egg rolls are more like spring rolls because it doesn’t have the typical thick won ton wrapping. The staff was super friendly.

Great find! Prices are good and food is too. We were looking for something last minute on a Sunday night, and we came across this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Will definitely be back :) try the general tso’s shrimp and vegetable lo mein!

I was craving walnut shrimp(I know, I know), and our usual take-out place does not make it. So, thanks to Unilocal,I stumbled upon Yu’s, and the rest is history. I was satisfied with the walnut shrimp. Interestingly enough, they use peaches to make the dish, and it worked. I can’t say the same for the sesame chicken we ordered, unfortunately. Not great meat, not great flavor. Avoid that if possible. The rest of our food, string beans, pot stickers, and combination fried rice, was all just fine. I’d order here again if I need some walnut shrimp and can’t make it to Joy Yee, but it won’t replace our regular spot for Chinese take-out.

Very good wonton soup– wontons are homemade and the broth is not too salty. Egg rolls are fantastic– very fresh veggies and whole pieces of shrimp with a good light crunchy shell. We shared the entrée of beef chow fun — wow! Lots of steak, super yummy fat noodles, veggies sliced super thin and not overly drenched in sauce. I enjoyed chatting with the owner who emphasized that they make their food as fresh as possible. It shows! We will be back! Plus they have a HUGE delivery zone, very happy!

Tried some last minute takeout here a couple of weekends ago. Prices were good and the service was great. We ordered shrimp fried rice, crab rangoon and egg rolls. The fried rice was very good, but the crab rangoon and egg rolls were so heavy handed on the oil that it ruined them.

Our usual place was closed, so i Unilocaled this place. I ordered through the app. It was easy to order. They offer a vomment box so you can ask for what you want. The wait was an hour for delivery, but it came hot and packed against spools. The egg rolls were like spring rolls, but tasted fresh. The orange chicken had actual pieces of orange. The kids loved it. I think i might have found a new place to order from.

What a deal for lunch. Less than $ 6 for lunch including tax. I got a small cup of hot and sour soup, a crab rangoon, an egg roll, fried rice, and Generals Tsos chicken. The egg roll was very good and fresh. They make it themselves. This is not that mush every other Chinese place has in their eggrolls. Highly recommended this place.

A very simple Chinese restaurant. The food was very good. We had five different dishes. The sauces were tasty, meat was moist but not greasy, and the vegetables were fresh. The dining area is very simple but extremely clean. The help is friendly and makes it very obvious they like to serve their customers.

The fried rice was excellent and portions more than generous. They get to the order quickly and the place has a nice small restraint seating available. Nice place

I yu’s-ed to go here when it was Beijing. The food is still as quality as when they were the larger sit down restaurant, it’s just a cozier, more humble setting now. The customer service is always fast, friendly, and on spot. It’s a sort of taste yu expect from Chinese food; yummy, & filling. Think 5 star chef in a humble location. Their prices are extremely reasonable, and I’d encourage yu to try their dinner & lunch specials. When I tried their competitor across the street one day(by mistake,) I wasn’t nearly as impressed with their taste as I was with Yu’s. I also prefer yu’s ambience, which feels more like an authentic urban Chinese restaurant, than their competitor across the street(which feels Americanized, and lacking in authenticity & quality ingredients.)

This place does have alright tasting food, however, they mess up their orders. Ordered two lunch specials with my family, was way overcharged for the dinner entrees instead. Called them back, instead of getting new meals and returning the uneaten food, they said since we got bigger portions we would only be able to get the crab ragoons and the egg rolls(no fried rice.) It took 30 minutes for those two egg rolls and crab ragoons to get to our house, and they were mediocre at best. Probably won’t order from here again. Giving them two stars for the orange chicken which is decent.

It’s hard to screw up chicken fried rice but somehow they managed to do that. I have tried this place three times and every time I kick myself. I am definitely«breaking up» with Yu’s. It’s time for me to move on to another crab Rangoon.

Yu might really enjoy trying this little place! And when yu least expect it, a carry out working dinner can prove to be a diamond in the ruff. I’m new to Yu, but my friend enthusiastically recommended Yu; so no problem. What was also great is that Yu will deliver to yu. Very helpful. What was also very helpful? The extensive menu options. I was particularly impressed with the vegetarian options, as well as a ton of choices that were gluten free, sugar free, msg free; free, free, free. My colleague and I decided to share an appetizer and get separate dinner entrees. He said, ‘yu have to try this’. Well, okay, fine. The appetizer in question: the spicy, crunchy baked tofu, accompanied with a great sauce. He chose the Pad Thai for dinner; I picked the garlic Chinese eggplant with brown rice. Our order from Yu was not only prompt, but hot(temperature and taste). I really loved the appetizer; the tofu was really fresh and my eggplant dish was delicious; came with tons of veggies, scallions, and extra garlic sauce which I’m sure my friend wished Yu had lost on the way over. His Pad Thai looked wonderful, smelled great too. Yu sure didn’t skimp on the veggies and chicken or even the peanuts, for that matter. The prices were fairly reasonable. The dinners ranged from 12 dollars on up, and the servings leave plenty for a second dinner. I’m pleased we tried Yu. I recall that where Yu is, it used to not be Yu, but something other than Yu. I’m sure I will try Yu again, at some point. Great meal! Thanks Yu!

In driving down Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn I noticed that yet another Chinese restaurant had opened up. In a spot that once housed a K.F.C. and more recently than that Arvati’s Pizza, I noticed a sign on the outside saying lunch buffet from 11:00AM to 1:00PM and then made a mental note to stop by when I had the opportunity and that day was yesterday. In walking into Yu’s Garden you’ll notice there’s a handful of tables, a bar/checkout counter and a buffet tray in the corner. Shortly after walking in I was greeted and told them I wanted to try the buffet, I was assigned a seat, asked what I wanted to drink and soon was on my way to the table. Right away I recognized some of the staff as being from the now closed Bejing restaurant that was right down the street. I got a few plates of food, and lo and behold it was identical to the food served at Bejing in the past few years. A very sweet sauce on things like General Tso’s chicken rather than being particularly spicy, identical cheese wontons. Overall the food was good for a buffet but not exactly knock your socks off fantastic either. Finally in checking out I noticed that my receipt that it said Bejing on it. Clearly, Bejing simply moved down the street to a smaller location and changed their name. If you were a fan of Bejing before it closed, then Yu’s Garden is exactly what you would expect. I’d say overall it’s average Chinese food and that some better options do exist in the area(though not that offer a buffet). The service here was extraordinarily friendly and the buffet was inexpensive. Overall I am going to give it three stars. This is good food, at a fair price with excellent service.
