Wish I could give no stars! This was the worst Chinese food I have ever had! Sesame chicken was all dark meat and the chicken and broccoli had absolutely no chicken in it. I will never go back.

I have to give this place credit for being awesome every year. They manage to make great chinese food 95% of the time (Though I always order weekdays and before 5pm) and somehow manage to keep their prices consistent. They give ample sauce packets, and if asked, are quick to give many more (and napkins too!). A ton of food can be purchased for $ 20, like an unfathomable amount. Soups are good, egg roll is good, rice is steamed well, and entrée items are prepared in good portions. Service is quick and staff is courteous.

When it comes to take-​out Chinese food, this place is… fine.
The chicken and broccoli is fine. The fried rice is fine. The lo mein is fine. Everything is fine.
If you want Chinese food in Glen Cove that would be considered perfectly fine, this is the place for you.

Pretty decent as far as take out Chinese goes, bearing in mind that there really is no great takeout Chinese anywhere. I’ve had bad takeout all over NYC and Long Island and I’ve had bad takeout in China itself as well as the best Chinese food I’ve ever had.
That said, food is decent here when using all takeout Chinese as a barometer. Service is quick and friendly, and pricing is in line with any place that has Chinese takeout.
No complaints. If you know what to expect with takeout Chinese, you will be amply satisfied here. Lo mein is a little better than many other places too.

I feel bad giving one star to the food. But I have to be honest. Service is four stars though. Because the order taking lady is fairly sweet. Should I say if you do not consider it is Chinese food then it is eatable. When there s nothing to eat then it is eatable.
Seriously this is the worst «Chinese food» I ever had. Oily bland and sweet for no reason.

Last week I was searching for a Chinese food around Glen Cove. I stumbled upon China King and decided to go with them as they had the best reviews for any Chinese food around here. I ordered sesame chicken with white rice, I think this was the best lunch special meal I ever had from a Chinese food. Definitely recommend to try for all.

i have been here several times, they do great with large groups or just 2. the lunches are awesome, delicious and so reasonable. great/​best deal on long island

No matter where we are on LI, it seems like we are always comparing the Chinese food to what we can get back home at China King. Hands down the best Chinese food around. Always well seasoned and the vegetables are always crisp and fresh. Our favorite is their orange chicken, wonton soup, and egg roll

Excellent food… have been a long long time customer over 15 year. This has to be one of best Chinese food in the area.

We got food here a few times, the first tme the food was HORRIBLE dry small portions just bad. We kept hearing it was good and thought maybe they had an off night and tried again, the second time the food was pretty decent so we decided to keep ordering.
The last and final time i will ever order from there was last night. We ordered chicken and broccoli in brown sauce and dumplings.
It arrived and I only got broccoli in brown sauce. When I called to say they made a mistake she pretty much just said oh well. Not sorry let me bring you another nothing just «oh» when I asked if they could bring me the correct order it was like I asked for her kidney. she fought about it and ultimately said no. I got off the phone pretty upset and decided to call backa nd jsut ask for a refund for the item i hadnt ordered and didnt intend to eat. She then said «fine i will bring you the chicken and broccoli but you have to give the driver back thr broccoli» I said fine but when we got to thinking about it I realized… GROSS. Is she intending on selling something they delivered was opened and like possibly eaten out of for all they know? As soon as I realized that I lost my appetite entirely and the bites I did have were pretty lousy almost sour tasting.

Somethings changed for the worst in the past few months. Small portions, crummy food.

One of the best chinese take out places — EVER. My family and I love the lunch special. We love love love the shrimp with lobster sauce. This place is a must if you’re from the area. Cheap and tasty — enough said.

My second review. Absolutely fantastic chinese take-​out. Top quality, great portions, very fast service. The hot & sour soup, scallion pancakes are delicious. I’ve never had a bad anything at China King. Chicken with Broccoli, Chicken in Garlic sauce, shredded beef– all superb. You can really taste the difference here. The food is always consistent. I keep on coming back and remain very happy.

By far the best chinese food you will find in the locust valley/​oyster bay/​glen cove area. Hands down, don’t argue with me, I’m right.
everything they make here is delicious. They’re friendly — and they’re accomodating. I’ve had almost everything on their menu at least once (so what, I like chinese food and I used to work right next door), and everytime I come to my folks house and the olé mom doesn’t wanna cook… china king. Get me the regular (we’ll take an order of spare ribs, chicken fried rice no egg, dumplings, ummm. yea why not, throw in some moo shoo chicken. yea, extra pancakes, thanks. And some chicken and broccoli, she can take that home with her. Mr. G? He’ll have chicken and peanuts, extra spicy, spicy sauce on the side. 15 minutes? Kthanks)

I moved to Glen Cove from the south shore about a year ago. I have tried every place in Glen Cove and this place is the best. The ribs were full of meat not fat. The food is fresh. And they delivered fast. Not to mention the amount of food they provide. We ordered two small dishes and have left overs for tomorrow. I am very picky about my Chinese food and only give a place one shot. If they don’t get it right I am on my way to another Chinese place, there are so many of them out there to choose from.
Please order from this place! They are the best on the north shore for shore!

Best Chinese food on the North Shore!

I’ve been eating China King now for over 12 years. The beef, chicken and shrimp dishes are top quality, delicious Chinese-​American takeout. Their scallion pancakes are the best I’ve ever had, anywhere.
I didn’t know how good this place was until I moved to Queens and now find myself driving back (40 minutes each way) occasionally for high quality, delicious Chinese-​American take out. If you aren’t satisfied with your local take out spot and live anywhere near Glen Cove… get yourself an order of Beef w/​Snowpeas, Gen. Tso’s Chicken, Wonton Soup… it’s all delicious.

With a huge amount of chinese take-​out on Long Island, I can safely say-​as a lover of chinese food; China King is a cut above the rest. Always delicious, fast take-​out. It’s better than most. Even the crunchy noodles are fresh.
