The Tint Man White Garage

Disappointed that our job was too small at our house for safety film install. When you tell a local small business you’re willing to pay them, which means we need it done — price doesn’t matter. You do it. This coming from another small business owner. But that is fine. We will move all of our trucks business and personal vehicles to another place as well as all of our referrals.

This place is a rip off. Very sketchy and dishonest. Hopefully groupon doesn’t deal with this business anymore because it’s such a waste. They get you in the door with the groupon and then convince you that that deal is garbage and you should spend $ 100 more.

DO NOT GO HERE. I had a Groupon that I paid $ 85 for. When I get there the owner tells me I can only get 50% tint, and I would have to pay $ 20 extra for a 35%. Thats such a rip off! He told me the kind I’m getting is cheap and would not last over a year. That’s funny, because AFTER the job was done, he told me I should be OK, it’ll last a few years. Anyway, YES they are RASCIST. YES they will rip you off. I tried asking to upgrade but the owner said he already cut the tint and I would have to pay even though it wasn’t on my car yet. VERY RUDE.

**WARNING**IF YOU ARE OF COLOR DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR CAR TINT. OWNER IS RACIST*** I went there to get my front windows tinted as soon as I walk thru the door the owner looked me up and down, mind you I had an appointment for the window tint anyway the owner was VERY DISRESPECTFUL to me. but as soon as a white guy walked thru the door it was totally different. it kinda surprised me! VERY RACIST PLACE… AND THE JOB WAS AWFUL ON TINT… if you are if color you’ve been warned… I can only speak from what I just went thru… AND TO BE HONEST THE PLACE SHOULDNT HAVE ANY STAR… DO NOT SPENT YOU MONEY THERE!

Just had all the windows tinted. Almost all of the windows have something under the tint. My lights were left on in my car so the battery died. When I finally got my car back it smelled like he was smoking in it.

Review update 2010 Nov — down to two stars based on my further experience. Each of our cars needed to have one window re-​tinted. One had squeege/​shrink marks all over the driver’s side window, the other had little bits of sand underneath the tint on the rear window. Apparently the tinters here are contractors, so you have to get the original guy who did your tint for any fixes.
My wife’s car looks fine now, but they claimed my rear window problem was due to defects in the glass but would grudgingly retint it for $ 25. $ 25 later the tint looks fine, but two of the rear defroster lines don’t work — they all worked before the re-​tint.
Based on this experience, I’d take my cars elsewhere in the future — a buddy of mine had great service at D&L with his new Golf.
