YAY! A gun shop! ‘Merica! While I thoroughly enjoy exercising my rights, I also enjoy a clean and well stocked store. It wasn’t overly dirty but, there are absolutely no thrills about this store. It’s a very mom and pop(a cap in you azz) shop. They have what you need but it’s really hard to find what you want if you don’t tell someone who works there, exactly what you need. Seemed to be no rhyme or reason to placement. Guns on display were exactly as it sounds. Nothing pretty or appealing about the presentation, but they are there. You’re allowed to hold the guns and the men at the counter seemed knowledgeable and eager to help. The man we had was not condescending and was very patient about explaining the pros and cons of each gun. We didn’t buy a gun, but we got bullets to go shooting. They were cheaper than other places we called around to for bullets.

Decent selection. higher than normal prices on ammo and handguns. They are great at streamlining paperwork. Customer service is the worst part. Only one decent guy in there that I have had in over 20 transactions. Can understand it because they are dealing with dirt balls from glen burnie.

While waiting for some auto work to be completed, I decided to drop in on Bart’s to look around, since I had been interested in getting a handgun in the near future. Upon entering, I was politely greeted by the staff, who then asked if there was anything in particular that I was looking for. I let them know that I was just looking to see what they carry, and began to casually peruse the store. The shop itself was relatively straight forward, and did not seem to have a particularly large selection of firearms or accessories, but it wasn’t an issue to me since I was not looking for anything specific. After a spin around the store, I headed to the counter to inquire about some handguns. That’s where I met Mike, one of the employees. I presented a number of questions ranging from gun specification comparisons to personal opinions, and he fielded them all in a most professional and informative manner. He seemed to be genuinely enthusiastic about firearms for personal protection, sport, and competition. He also imparts a sense that he is quite knowledgeable and experienced, which helped to leave quite the first impression for me. Prices are comparable to other brick and mortar storefronts, and as expected they are a bit higher than online stores. But for what it’s worth, you get the personal relationship with the store while also knowing you’re helping to support local small businesses =) I hadn’t decided on what to purchase yet, but based on my visit, I can say that I’m impressed enough to give them a sale when I finally pull the trigger.
