A little disappointing. First gripe: the online menu doesn’t have prices. Pizza place… strip mall… no prices. Really? The menu has a really nice selection of specialty pizzas and we went with«Harry’s Special.» How could we go wrong? Described as «A red pie with shredded mozzarella, white onion, pepper, mushoom, olive, sausage, pepperoni and asiago.» Hard to believe with those ingredients, but it was pretty bland. How they managed that with such good ingredients is anyone’s guess. The crust is decent quality, thin and crispy, so maybe with other toppings and/or different cooks might result in a better pie. It was a slow afternoon so maybe the kitchen wasn’t in full swing at the time. Absolutely nothing wrong with the restaurant: dining room and bathrooms were spotless and woman who served us was pleasant, friendly and timely. Also appreciate the style, service and that a «small» pizza is still fairly substantial. The little sorbet at the end is also a nice touch. After many good experiences at Harry’s in West Hartford this was a letdown.

Generally whenever I’ve had Harry’s Pizza in West Hartford I liked it. It’s one of only a handful of pizzerias in the Hartford area that can hold a candle to New Haven pizzerias. I like Harry’s because they make a pizza that’s very New Haven-ish in style. Chewy crust, sloppy sauce, salty, cooked well down, blah blah blah… Unfortunately the pizza I received recently from this location didn’t seem very Harry-ish or New Haven-ish. Yes I was little disappointed. The crust was chewy but the sauce was sparse and the cheese wasn’t stretchy at all. I think the amount of tomato sauce(or lack thereof) contributed to it being very very dry. It probably could have benefited from a splash of olive oil to liven it up. The interior of the pizzeria isn’t super large but it is clean and nicely decorated. Oh, and the prices. They’re a little high. The pizza I got cost several bucks more than what I’m used to paying. I’m using Pepe’s as a general standard barameter regarding prices. So overall I’m gonna go with just an average rating of 3 stars for now.

By far the best pizza in town! Fresh ingredients, terrific sauce, and a thin crust. If you are looking for the Pizza Hut style — thick cheese and crust, this is not the restaurant for you. These are artisanal pizzas with high quality ingredients. We love the west hartford and the godmother. My only complaint is that it is a bit salty. It is a pricey, but that is expected with the types of ingredients they use. Well worth the price.

If you’re a fan of the thin, chewy, New Haven style, and you live in the Glastonbury area, and dont mind paying 25 bucks for a pizza, then this place will work for you. I grew up with the thicker crust pizza of Ginos that was parked in this locale before Harrys, and I am still partial to that style. But the chewy Pepe’s, Luna, style wave thats been coming into the region is a decent change of pace. The sauce is good. I think they should arm wrestle with Luna up the street for chewy pizza dominance.

I ordered the basil pepperoni special and to my amazement they charged me $ 25.00! It was average with a decent sauce. It did not merit its price tag. In the future I will happily pay $ 15.00 at any of the other pizza places in town and consider myself lucky to have so many good and reasonably priced choices close by. Unfortunately, I will not be visiting Harry’s again.

What can I say about Harry’s; nothing good!!! It was awful the two times I had it. The first time I had it; bad! But I had gave it another try, big mistake. The pizza was cold and tasted like cardboard. So many other better pizza joints in town to choice from.

My family’s ordered Harry’s pizza the last two times I’ve been in town, and I love it more and more. The large pieces and crispy/grainy crust is something I miss when I’m in Ohio. You really can’t find this type of pizza anywhere in Columbus, and it’s so disappointing. The sauce is so tasty, and the crust is nearly perfect. We just had pepperoni and onions this time around, but I’ve had the BBQ chicken and a few others, and they’re all fantastic. They don’t have delivery, so you’ll have to order take out, and it’s usually ready in about 15 – 20 minutes. I make it a point when I’m home to get some good East Coast pizza, and Harry’s has become my first choice.

The pizza was good, but overpriced. I can go to franks or Luna’s and get a larger pizza for cheaper. The service was a bit slow. I like the décor of the restaurant.

Harry’s without a doubt is the best pizza in Glastonbury, I have to say it’s my favorite pizza place in all of CT!!! Thin crust, always cooked just long enough giving it the perfect crisp. My go-to order is pepperoni, hamburger, & onions($ 26) Quick & friendly service. The only con– the price is higher than most pizza, well worth the splurge, I promise!

I remember the first time I had a slice of Harry’s Pizza on Farmington Avenue in West Hartford, it was mind blowing. In the years after that, every time I had friends from out of town I would drag them to Harry’s in WeHa. The day I found out Harry’s had opened in Glastonbury was an extremely good day. I cannot tell you how happy I am I can go grab a Harry’s pizza to go on Friday night. I grew up in Middletown and I am a bit of a pizza snob and Harry’s blows it all away. While I love the pizza, I don’t always love this location, it’s a bit of a pain in the butt sometimes to park and drag my 3 year old across the parking lot to haul out the pizza. However, the pizza does not disappoint. So I do it. In fact, I am craving it right now.

Anyone who doesn’t give this place at least 4 stars is nuts, and I wholeheartedly award Harry’s with 5 stars. Not that I am the end all, be all of foood critic-ing, but take my word for it, this place puts out some holla-back-at-ya pies. The crust is thin with just the right amount of browning and crisp, and the inside is chewy and perfectly yeasty. The tomato sauce… how do they make their sauce? Sweet and brightly flavored — I’ll be very annoyed if it is an easy recipe, which I’m sure it is. I whip up variations of fresh, homemade tomato sauces with top-end canned tomatoes, and I cannot hold a candle to Harry’s sauce. Topped with midly salty mozz, and you have a pizza that would rival any place you find in the Big Apple. And, it’s tucked away in a plaza in Glastonbury. An added bonus is that the interior is rather nice — no the common fare that you find in pizza joints. Be sure to get your pizzas from Harry’s!

Perfect thin crust pizza with a tangy/sweet fresh sauce and ALWAYS fresh ingredients. Crispy but not burned like Pepe’s can be and definitely NOT greasy which I love. There’s always extra for leftovers with a lg pizza and it re-heats perfectly in the toaster oven in 3 – 4 minutes. Definitely pricey, but if you like fresh and well-made you’ll pay. Pepperoni has a nice bite to it. Hate the parking here, but worth it. Solid service. I would not recommend the salad as it’s just boring for too much $$$. Just noticed this review isn’t recommended. I’m originally from Maine, so it’s safe to say I previously had no idea what good pizza should taste like. Let me tell you what — I’m a believer in New Haven style pizza. With Harry’s, I enjoy their simple pizzas. Their white is great, the fresh basil fresh garlic on a regular pie is stellar. It’s always pipping hot and their crust is delicious. They even use the smaller pepperonis on their meat pizzas, which is awesome. This place is definitely a staple in our household.

Thinnest crust pizza in Gbury, so if that is your thing, you’ll like it. Ingredients are definitely high quality, although in the two pizzas I tried(the shrimp pizza and the Godmother), the toppings were a bit sparse. Salad was good — better than a lot of pizza joint salads, but probably not worth the $. For now, I think I prefer Luna Pizza(also in Gbury) over Harry’s, but it’s close.

We love Harry’s in West Hartford so we were more than excited to see it opening in Glastonbury. We’ve gone twice now for dinner — once on the first Saturday night it was open last weekend and again the following Sunday night. Both were great. On the first occasion, we ordered the house salad — good(i.e., not iceberg lettuce!). My husband ordered the white clam pizza and loved it. I ordered a pizza with ricotta, broccoli & spinach, and it was delicious. I was tempted to eat the entire small because it felt so light(not greasy or soggy)…thankfully, I didn’t and we had tasty leftovers the next day. The décor is bright & casual. My only complaint is that the tables are narrow while the booths are wide so I feel like I need to lean way over to reach the table. I suppose it accommodates people of all sizes, which is nice, but I would prefer a wider table myself. The service was good. It was really busy since it was a Saturday night, but fortunately we arrived at a good time and only had one couple in front of us so the wait was 10 – 15 minutes. Not bad with a toddler. I also love that they give you a complimentary taste of lemon Italian ice at the end of the meal. Just a nice refresher before you head out. The second visit was just as good.(I waited to write my review noting the other reviewer’s vastly different opinion because I wanted to make sure I still felt the same second time around.) It wasn’t as busy, but it was pretty steady. They had real menus this time rather than just the paper ones. We did the broccoli, spinach and ricotta again along with the Harry’s Special and a pepperoni(more people in our party this time) as well as House and Mediterranean salads, and it was all excellent. I would imagine that they are having some growing pains as the other reviewer mentioned. As it is, it may only be a soft opening since there was no Grand Opening signage, but either way, we really enjoyed both of our visits. I’ll have to go back to one of the West Hartford locations to compare. Perhaps takeout is a different story, but again we did have leftovers that were very good. I’m hopeful that we’ll finally have a reliable pizza place in town now that they’ve moved in!(For a comparison, our favorite pizza is Pepe’s in New Haven, and the one time we ordered Gino’s a few years back when we moved in, we threw the pizza out after a few bites. It was thick and soggy with more cheese than ever necessary. Harry’s is more similar to Pepe’s or perhaps Luna.)
