This was my first visit and I was heartily impressed. A few low points: the bread basket was«meh,» and they were out of prosciutto wrapped figs. High points: the gnocchi was amazing(light, fluffy, creamy) and the service was excellent(I’m certain our glasses were never less than half full). Though we didn’t partake, the half priced wine special seemed worth a try. Only sad we live too far away to become regulars!

My husband and I celebrated our one year anniversary with friends in the restaurant’s «wine room». Since we live in Boston, we didn’t check out the room beforehand and trusted the restaurant’s reputation and reviews. Big mistake. When we arrived, we saw that the«table» they had prepared for us was actually one medium length table with a couple of smaller tables tacked onto the end. This wouldn’t have been such a problem if there wasn’t also a mix of booth-style chairs and regular chairs that were tacky looking and make the whole set up look messy and disconnected. Worst of all, they told us that the room normally fits sixteen but that they could handle seventeen of us when in fact that«table» could comfortably handle no more than fourteen. We were really stuffed in there, with three of us crowded into one end. The rest of the restaurant was beautiful so we were confused as to why so little care was put into making this room, where they handle small groups, just as nice. Food was okay but nothing special. Oh well.

Best place ever! The handmade ricotta appetizer is amazing and so is the Grant’s Flirtini! The staff is always very nice and helpful if you aren’t quite sure what you are in the mood for. The menu changes often too. Great food, great atmosphere, great restaurant! Best Italian restaurant in Glastonbury.

My wife and I hadn’t been out in at least 6 months and decided to try Bricco based on a friends recommendation. We arrived at 8:15 and were told the wait was 30 to 45 minutes. After an hour, there was no longer a wait and the hostess was now seating people that were just coming in the door. She and I now realized that we’d been forgotten about. We finally got seated about 9:30 and they brought us bread and olives that were the best things I’d ever had, or maybe we were just so dam hungry. When we placed our order they ran out of the 2 entrée choices we wanted. Our Potato Gnocchi and a Linguine Clam Sauce entrée. The food we did have was good but not really what we wanted. I can’t say that I’ll never give them another try, but it sure won’t be anytime soon. and a couple that was seated before us did get one of those entrees.

Waitress kind of rushed us along finally ordered Auntie something entrée that was a bit too old school with(slightly burnt) sausage and other heavy Italian meats over polenta… I should have read the menu more thoroughly… our calamari was soggy making it a disappointment. Maybe an off night but not sure I’d give the place another try

Love the food. Especially the fresh ricotta. The only downside is the music. It hard rock and doesn’t compliment the ambiance.

The fried calamari appetizer was tender and delicious. The seared scallops with black squid ink orzo, nduja, asparagus, and ramps was also tasty and an innovative dish. Both seafood items were cooked just perfectly to maximize flavor and tenderness. Three other dining companions all had rave reviews about their various dishes. This was a wonderful surprise and treat.

Extremely fresh pasta. The wait staff was great. It did take a little longer than expected to get our lunch. I orders the apply and arugula salad and the shrimp something pasta. Both were good. Sauce on the pasta was on point!

Good surprises from A to Z. A nice table close to the corner, less noise and more intimate. The service was impeccable, fast and attentive to the whole table. Julie, you rock. Pastas are amazing, with a preference for the gnocchi with lobster. The spinach ones are innovative, well supported by the green peas. Not a big fan of the Fig pizza but it was creative enough to give it a try. Excellent food, fast and friendly service, a winner.

Bricco Trattoria in Glastonbury is a great dining option. It is always busy when I have been there. Great atmosphere! The parking can be a problem, with so many restaurants next to each other, but they do offer valet parking if you want to pay. Had dinner with my friends. We were a party of seven and had the perfect seating with a semi-circle booth and three chairs added on the outside so it was like a round table and good for socializing with a group our size. I will say that the service was only so-so, but it was a busy Friday night. I had the mustard glazed salmon. It was served on a corn ragu, with farro and cherry tomatoes. The salmon was cooked perfectly and I was very happy with my choice of entrée. Our table shared 2 appetizers — grilled artichokes and the house made ricotta, which came with a thin grilled bread and was so fresh and creamy. We also shared 2 desserts — an apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream and a banana bread pudding. I’m not sure which one I liked better! Bricco is a always an enjoyable dinner experience.

Truly one of the best happy hours around. I stopped in for my friend’s birthday this afternoon and was blown away by the extensive, affordable, and delectable menu offerings — on both food and drink fronts. After ordering a few flutes of prosecco, we opted for the baked gnocchi with sweet sausage, smoked mozzarella, tomato and rosemary breadcrumbs(huge portion for $ 7) along with a truffled pizza for $ 6. I also ended up with a lovely«Don’t Make Me Blush» martini with gin, St. Germain & grapefruit — essentially spring in a glass. Overall, a completely delightful experience. I shouldn’t be surprised since Grant’s is one of my go-to HH spots and they’re both in the same restaurant family. Still, I’ll be back — and soon!

Based on other reviews I knew this place would be busy, but holy cow! My date arrived at 7:50… we figured how busy could it be going to dinner that late. We didn’t actually get a table until about 8:45. Service at the bar was good tho, so we were able to bide our time well. For my drink I had the Italian Mule, which was very pleasant. It started off with that sweet almond taste of Amaretto, but finished with a little bite thanks to the ginger beer. It was a great balance. My date had the espresso martini which was also good, not as sweet as most places. It had a very strong espresso taste to it. My favorite part of dinner was the Prosciutto Wrapped Medjool Date appetizer… I’m salivating just thinking about it. Seriously an orgasm in your mouth, flipping INCREDIBLE. For dinner I had the Carpaccio Octopus appetizer and the Brussels sprout salad… this was a bit of a disappointment after the Prosciutto. Although the octopus was the right texture, the dish was just drowning in olive oil; you really couldn’t taste anything else. The salad was actually very good, just on the small side. My date had the lamb entrée and I do have to give Bricco props on that one. The lamb was so tender you didn’t even need a knife to cut it. Now for dessert… the chocolate pudding cake! We swapped out the chocolate ice cream for the heath bar ice cream which I think was a good choice. The cake was warm and moist, topped with apples… apple pie filling style apples. It was extremely rich, and I think had there been just a little more ice cream on the plate to balance the richness of the cake it would have been perfect. Overall definitely worth a visit!

–best– service –best– Italian food I have experienced in Ct. Was cruising up 91, saw the sign for Glastonbury and started shaking, sort of like when your kids shake when they see the golden arches of McDonalds. I had been there 3 times prior, I’m from upstate NY. When I see Glastonbury, I think Bricco. Another flawless night; entrée(I had Monday night special, chicken Parma);salad(Cesar-they use anchovies in the dressing; amazing) bread(home made) wine(½ price Monday bottles) service(the best servers) thank you! I hope my customers give me enough reason to drive through here again, otherwise I will just road trip it! Had chicken over polenta last time in west hartford and it was the best chicken dish I ever had

Fortunate timing and a drink at the bar netted us a great table up front this past Saturday night. Had the artisinal domestic cheese platter as an app(along with the ciabatta and olives brought over each time you sit down). Gf delved into the Black Cavatelli entrée(as this is her ‘go-to’ it’s been hit or miss… happy to report it was a hit this evening) and I loaded up on Aunt Josie’s Sunday Ragu. Full belly syndrome followed so no dessert. Place was warm and cozy and the way we saw the staff manage the walk-ins and reservations was impressive — the whole team was working like clockwork out front. I can’t say I’ve ever felt compelled to say that before. Ever. Kudos to our server and the folks on the floor 11⁄14.

This restaurant has truly earned a 5 star rating! They are on point on every level! 1. Atmosphere. The atmosphere at Bricco’s is warm and cozy! If you sit at the bar you will appreciate the warmth and beauty of the wood burning fireplace. 2. Customer Service. When you enter Briccos you are greeted with a smile and a welcome by the host! 3. Knowledge. No matter what time of day I have found that my server knows the specials and the menu! He/she will also accommodate any alterations I ask for. I have substituted anything and everything for bread or pasta and they have always met my needs. Our favorite times have been both inside and one the deck of Briccos. My family and I really enjoy the flavors of the dishes at Briccos. It is our«go to «restaurant.

I came here for a pre-birthday dinner with my fam. I’m going to have to come back here, for while I liked the atmosphere, my pork chop was dry and pretty disappointing. I’m still maintaining 3 stars because the veal and spinach ravioli, which Tim M. and sister-in-law ordered, was really delicious.(I tried to sneak as many bites as I could!) Even the bread basket was pretty decent… compared to my mediocre pork chop. The cocktails menu is relatively long, though they are not offering anything particularly fancy or «mixology worthy.» Nonetheless, the they had some refreshing options for the summer. The finale of Nutella cake was really decadent and delightful. It’s great for splitting with people. I’ll likely give this spot another try sometime.

Amazing food. We expected a long wait, but I managed to snag a reservation using Open Table and we got in right away, which is great because we were hungry! They offered us bread right away, which I appreciated– I’ve been to a lot of restaurants lately where the bread is complimentary but you have to request it. They have a very nice cocktail menu. I ordered the Bianco Cosmopolitan– Absolute Vodka, St. Germaine, white cranberry, and fresh lime– it was very refreshing. For my entrée, I chose the duck breast. It was incredible. I ordered it medium rare and definitely made the right choice. Our waitress assured me it would be cooked perfectly, as her husband was the chef that evening. It was incredibly tender and tasty. It was my first time having duck breast, and that experience has inspired me to order it elsewhere(although nowhere else has yet surpassed Bricco’s quality). My friend and her mom both ordered salads with salmon on them. I found this interesting because I don’t know that I’ve seen it done elsewhere, but it does make sense– rather than charge some kind of upcharge for adding salmon to a salad, they actually charge you the price of the salmon entrée in place of the salad price. I tried a bite of that and it was great(honey mustard glaze and cooked at medium temperature). For dessert I got the Ice Cream Sundae — house made peanut butter chunk ice cream, chocolate cookie crumbles, and whipped cream. Can’t go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter! This is a great restaurant if you don’t mind paying a little extra. The quality of both the food and service are definitely worth it.

One of the better meals I have had in a long time. Went with a party of 4. We had two appetizers and 4 different meals between us all. I had The bolognese and thought it was fantastic! The other three had scallops, short ribs, and a seafood pasta dish. We couldn’t stop talking about how good everything was. If you like italian then this is a must. Update: I’ve been back several times since my first visit. My favorite restaurant in Connecticut. Can’t get enough of it!
