Unfortunately, none of the food was hot or even mildly warm. The sushi had a fragrant fishy smell that I never normally taste in all other sushi. Across the street is another buffet, and that particular one is better tenfold. The only thing that I didn’t mind was their ice cream – which came from a machine. Everything else was bland, hard, cold, or bad tasting.

As far as the food goes, I think its pretty good as long as there is a pretty good crowd. For good recycle… Otherwise its cold or old. The down side to that is that they run out of stuff and you have to wait a bit. The most annoying thing(which someone else mentions here) is that when they bring you the check, as soon as you open it, they hover on top you! Not even a chance to put my hand in my d^mn pocket! Seriously? Are you ready? Are you ready now? now? Then, when she comes back with the change, she waits right there for her tip! One star penalty for that annoying experience every single time we have been there!

Not the best buffet in town, I’m just gonna leave it at that. The better one is across the street Peking Buffet which I known the owner for a long time started out as a takeout restaurant 30+ years ago, nice people, great food, and best service ever! So head over there for a try, will not disappoint!

Probably one of the nicer and cleaner Asian buffets I have been to. I was surprised by the spaciousness of the restaurant. It has tons of seating available. They also have a pretty large and varied spread of foods out on the buffet. I just wish their sushi and dim sum selection was a little wider. Overall, not bad and SUPER affordable.

By far one of the best in south jersey. I know its a chain restaurant, but having sushi, hibachi, and Chinese food for one buy = awesome. The price and selection alone will have me back again

Came here last night on a Tuesday and it wasn’t too crowded. This is your typical Chinese buffet although I think since it’s newer than the Peking Buffet across the street it’s slightly better. Their prices are starting to go up and I think it’s about 9 for dinner and an extra dollar for soda with free refills. They have sushi and hibachi although I did not try the hibachi where they make it in front of you. The sushi was decent for buffet sushi which usually has more rice around the rolls and some had this sweet mayo-y sauce drizzled on top. The California rolls were pretty good if you manage to pick the pieces the largest crab and avocado pieces. They also had some tofu like sushi pieces that were kinda salty. Not too bad of a selection and replenished pretty frequently. Other things I tried: coconut shrimp — good, sweet pretty saucy sesame chicken — not good, hard doughy pieces with not much chicken in them hibachi chicken — very good since its not battered, tender chicken lo-mein — decent, kind of greasy chicken and broccoli — broccoli is cooked very well chicken was good crab rangoon(cheese wonton) — these were my favorite since they use the thin wonton skins and plenty of sweet cream cheese filling prime rib — meat on the top looked dry but if you dig around in the juice you can find some pretty delicious pieces dumplings — sauce was good, dumplings were very salty clam casino?(stuffed clam shell) — dry and overly salty clams — decent coffee ice cream — bleh butter pecan and mint chocolate chip — not bad I usually try to stay away from too much filler like rice, noodles, pasta when eating at Chinese buffets and stick to meats, seafood, and veggies. They had plenty of American food too that I didn’t try but the mac and cheese and pizza looked good. The mashed potatoes looked thin and watery. There was also fries, fried chicken, ham, pork tenderloin, fried fish some other items. The spare ribs looked good. They did not have crab legs here which I love but they did have like little salt and pepper crabs that I didn’t try. Lots of items are pretty salty I think to get you to fill up on more soda or water. Dessert items are your typical buffet spread. The fruit looked fresh and the scoop-able ice cream was good. One thing that was very weird and off putting was that our waitress came over as soon as we put money in the check book and opened it up and counted out the money in front of us at the table to pocket her tip. Other than that, decent place nothing too special.

I went to the Hibachi Grill for lunch with the 5.99 coupon for the lunch buffet 11−3pm . The place is very clean and with the drink and tax it comes to about 8.00. The drink was large free refills. I got Sprite. I do not eat meat, but the steak and all looked very fresh. There was a sushi area as well as grill on the spot chef. There were a lot of sea food choices as well as veg tables and pasta. I did not even have room for desert which was ice cream, cakes, pies, and etc. since I was so stuffed. I think the food could have been a bit hotter, other than that, it was good. It was a good deal considering all the seafood choices, plenty of seating, nice clientele and good servers..

Lately Peking has been our regular stop. Then my sister told me she has been going to Hibachi and it’s been really good. So good they don’t even look at Peking anymore. I was disappointed here with my previous visit, maybe it was the crowd? So we decided to give it another go. Well I must say they have stepped up their game. Not as crowded as last time. Everything was fresh, well stocked, and tasty, with a couple minor exceptions. The Lo Mein. Not sure what went wrong here, but it was meh, and I loved it here last time. Also, something they had on the buffet called a «popeno». It looked(and sounded) like a jalapeño popper so I figured what the heck. No idea what was inside of it, looked like mush and it tasted like gunpowder. Pass. Ok other than those 2 misses, everything else was grand. BBQ spareribs AND boneless spareribs? at lunch? count me in.

I was excited when Hibachi opened, There had been a restaurant there previously that was very good and we had been to Peking many times and loved it. I started going once a week for our take out nights. It was inexpensive and plentiful. After a couple of weeks I noticed that a lot of the sushi rolls were made with just slight variations, a lot of imitation crab and and seemed to made as cheaply and skimpily as possible. I didn’t seem to enjoy the taste as much either. I have had lots of sushi over the years. I can tell when the fish isn’t fresh. My last visit earlier this month was the worse yet. I brought the take out home which was sushi and u peel shrimp. I noticed the sushi was«extra fishy», I couldn’t finish it. I felt ill, I didn’t get sick but I was very nauseous and wished I hadn’t eaten it. I threw it out and called the restaurant. The woman I spoke with was very upset and said that they(the staff) eat the food there and there is nothing wrong with it, «Nobody here got sick». She said sushi is fish and fish is fishy. I told her no, this is different I normally after eating sushi do not feel sick. She said that there must be something else wrong with me and it is not her food. She said I can come in and get a partial refund but she didn’t know what to do for me because she doesn’t refund customers and doesn’t get complaints. I didn’t go back. I will not go back here again. It was a lesson. You get what you pay for. I have happily gone back to Peking buffet. I am not sure, I may pay a very small fraction more but it is well worth it!

This review is based on 3 visits since they opened. Large place and selection of food. More American foods than most Chinese buffets. Variety of fried and typical buffet food. Too much sauce and fats. Had trouble finding any low fat dishes. Sauce way too thick on coconut shrimp Sushi bar looked OK but I did not try. You scoop your own hard ice cream. One must lean over the freezer to get it and the ice cream scoop was sitting in a container of water mixed with ice cream residue. U-peel shrimp were fine. I probably will not go back again. On the up side, although I’m not crazy about the food, we had a small family get together there because of the low price and everyone wanted to try the new place. We sat in a room separated from the open area which was nice and the staff was very pleasant.

Great sushi bar, very fresh rolls. Good typical Chinese buffet food. Buffet area was kept clean and the overall décor is pleasant. The hot seafood(crabs and shrimp) were terribly overcooked and basically inedible(not a surprise given it is a buffet). It’s a nice place but nothing really special.

We came here on a Saturday night a few weeks after opening and it was PACKED! This restaurant really does have the potential to drive Peking Buffet across the street out of business, as the two businesses are at war and Peking Buffet has gone downhill in recent years. The huge selection of food in this restaurant is pretty incredible. My husband initially did not want to sit down and eat because it was so crowded and«looks like a cafeteria» as he put it. So the atmosphere is lacking but we stayed and tried it. They certainly have a much larger sushi selection than most of the area Chinese buffets, with at least 10 different maki rolls and 3 types of sushi. The sushi was of average quality — very thin slices of fish and very thick piles of rice, so of course you fill up on the rice pretty quickly. They had both tuna and salmon sushi which they replenished frequently, as the sushi chef stands right behind the sushi counter. The sushi was where the good part of the buffet ended. The cooked food was generally overcooked and over-sauced, but was your typical Chinese buffet food. They had full layer cakes that had been hacked to pieces(They really shouldn’t let the customers cut it themselves) and were just sitting there looking like piles of crumbs, very unappealing and never replaced during the hour we were there. There was always a line at the ice cream, which someone at the Cinnaminson location had complained about, and for exactly the same reason — these dumb parents come in and let their kids try to scoop the ice cream or stand their indecisively and let the line build up behind them. The fresh hibachi grill itself was just okay — my husband tried it out and it was pretty average. There was a line at that station as well.(Guess the lines are to be expected in a restaurant that seems to seat at least 200 people and was packed.) Table service was prompt and efficient with absolutely no personality, but that’s what I expect at a buffet. Do I think I’ll go rushing back? Probably not. For better sushi, we have plenty of sushi restaurants. For better Chinese food, we have several made-to-order restaurants, and luckily my husband and I can afford to go to these other restaurants. But if you are feeling poor and very hungry(listen up, Rowan students!), $ 8 for dinner is a can’t miss opportunity.
