Stanley’s Corner

If your looking to enjoy anything other than just sitting and waiting — dont bother. Over 20 minutes for a single basket of fries. After being reassured — they’re on the way. They came out luke warm. After the fries. No more service. For almost two hours. Two hours of nothing. An empty basket of fries, empty glasses and no service. A favored table of customers continued to receive service, but not any other single table. Im disgusted with this service. Terrible service, worst service i have ever received, bad food. Dont bother.

Clean dining hall, an awesome server named Amanda, and a platter of nachos so big that my 11 year old daughter and I could barely wolf down a quarter of this enormous plate. Amanda was very attentive, checking in every ten minutes or less to refill drinks which I am supposed to do myself. (Oops) Um, do yourself a solid and stop here. I don’t drink so I can’t speak for the drinks. Excellent unsweetened tea too!

I have been driving past this establishment for over 3 years and finally decided to give them a try for lunch. Ordered their Philly Cheesesteak sandwich which was a good sized sandwich and very good and came a huge portion of tater tots, which were the most perfectly cooked tots that I have ever been served at a restaurant. They also offer 3 or 4 additional sides to choose from. Will definitely return here again soon and will probably have to try their Nachos that they are supposedly famous for.

Amanda was a great server. Very attentive, quick to recognize us and take our order. Thank you, hun for the great service. My chicken fried steak was yummy, it was huge! Salad was delish. but the Dip was bland and tasteless maybe IF my daughter orders it again she’ll ask for mayo and cheese to give it some taste. But everything else Amanda did great!

Decent little joint for some good grub. Nachos are very large and good. Will also stop in for an occasional breakfast.
Not somewhere I usually go to hang out or drink at, but good food.
My only complaint, is the place is a little dated, and has a funny old smell (probably from years of smoking inside etc)

I went online to look at the menu and was surprised to see they had reasonable prices on their sandwiches but when I called to place the order Togo it was $ 2.50 more then the online menu prices. Confused I told the staff person that the prices on the menu are lower than what she is telling me– her reply was «yeah that’s not our menu” — I looked at 3 different websites all with the same address and all the menus said the lower price. I understand they have been in business for over 15 years and I’m pretty sure they have a way of changing the menu on any one of the websites listed. It’s not the employees fault and the food has always been good. Hopefully the manager/​owner can fix the website menu.

Been here many times. Outstanding for Breakfast and Drinks. Very family friendly. Great for watching Football. Also, a great place for a large group. Cheers.

Truly the BEST Nachos in all of the Portland Metro area. Huge serving size, easy to split between multiple people. Always fresh, always delicious. A bit of a «dive bar» atmosphere, but service is always prompt and friendly. Prices are affordable. Great jukebox. Casual, low-​key environment.

Nachos are good, and portions are big. Service is basically nonexistent. Decent place to go if you have a long wait at the VW dealership across the street.

I have been coming to Stanley’s for many years. The food is always good, large servings and the staff is friendly. Good service and always seems to be clean. I recommend the Big Duke (chicken fried steak), the steak bites or the patty melt. I do recommend eating at Stanley’s Corner.

I really like coming here with the family! Nachos are super crazy! Not the cleanest on this last trip. dirty table and silverware but everything else was so good i had to still give 4 stars! I will be coming back again

We use to come to Stanley’s Corner for breakfast a while back but stopped when it seemed that they changed up some of the recipes. We loved the chicken fried steak back then but it does not seem the same anymore. I needed to take my son for lunch while waiting for his state testing to resume at the local library. Stanley’s was the closest and most familiar option.
I am not sure why but the water at Stanley’s has always tasted so bad. Maybe they have never cleaned the lines. It has a moldy, dirty flavor. Avoid it.
We had a very sweet waitress who handled the very unpleasant patron next to us. Such a rude and vulgar lady whom the waitress remained polite to all the same. The poor waitress deserves a metal for patience.
A simple order of kids mac and cheese and chicken strips for us. I have not had myself, but have seen the famous nachos served on a pizza pan. They are huge, all of the portions here are large. Our lunch was out of the box and frozen bag. The chicken strips were at the higher end of quality of frozen chicken strips but nothing amazing. The fries are super crispy and remind me a little of McDonald’s fries but with skin on. The fry oil tastes pretty clean.
I do remember very good breakfast sausages though.

Love the breakfast and drinks. Food can be boring for dinner or lunch. Needs a good remodel, chairs are breaking down and the booth is really uncomfortable. But if need a breakfast or a place to hangout at night, not bad place.

My mom and I stopped in for a late lunch today. We ordered cheese & potato skins that were huge and delicious! I had a beef taco salad. Best one I have ever had. The bowl was even fresh. Plus it came with chips. It was was loaded. My mom ordered the 3 pc fish and chips. She said it was really good. Our waitress was attentive and got us everything we needed.

It has become a Sunday ritual for most of the people that I work with to go to Stanley’s corner and get breakfast. we order enough food to feed about 15 people almost every Sunday. The food is adequately Priceton really good
also has a nice small dive bar feel. and hey if you’re in the video program pool they have that tooo!

Not just a dive bar. Like many others I started going here 35 years ago as a kid for the Super Nachos. They are still some of the best nachos around and can stuff a family of four for 21 bucks. Lots of friends did not realize that Stanley’s Corner has a huge family section with fast friendly service, and great food that is very reasonably priced. Their breakfasts are great and the chicken fried steak is a favorite. We think of Stanley’s as a family friendly «dive» with great food, great service, and a laid back atmosphere that makes you feel welcome with a come as you are dress code. Really good service from Brittney today.

Had dinner here and although I have been here before it has been a long time. I ordered the chicken fried steak dinner and thought the price was perhaps a little high but then that was before the plate came.
I chose a salad as my side and when it came I was impressed with its content and size. I have been to many places that offer a dinner salad that’s not very big and has one to three different things in it.
My main plate came and I couldn’t believe how much food was piled in it. I am a decent size guy with a big appetite and as I tried to plow through this I could not finish and now have a serving to go with breakfast tomorrow.
The food was decent quality, I’ve had better chicken fried steak but it was still good and there was a lot of it. The gravy was decent, and mashed potatoes were mashed potatoes.

My wife and I have never had a bad experience here. We love their breakfast menu and their bloody mary’s are pretty tasty!

Service was good the food is ok but the place is dirty could somebody please vacuum the carpet.

First of all, there are comments about the state of the building or leaky roofs. I have been coming here forever and I’ve never had any issue with it. If you were expecting the Ritz Carlton on the inside based on the outside (sorry about your vision, honey), keep on driving. If you want awesome food, cold drinks, a good jukebox and awesome waitstaff, here you go.
We visit Stanley’s regularly. They are very sweet to my dad. The waitresses don’t take any shit, and they are very nice if you are nice to them. They do advertise the nacho, but I’ve never had anything here that wasn’t awesome. Their burgers were recently switched to pretzel buns and it’s good. Their bacon on burgers or for breakfast is the best. Their sandwiches are great. The chicken fried steak is phenomenal, too.
