Fire Grill

Absolutely horrible service. Will never go back again and that’s unfortunate because the food was good. Hostess had no idea what she was doing, server took half the tables app orders rang those in and disregarded the other side. Drinks took FOREVER and were horrible. The server indicated she had to make them herself and we could see her reading from a recipe she clearly had no experience. m she said she was practicing. The strawberry Long Island tasted like grenadine not strawberry and I’m pretty sure it was. The pain killer tasted like water and the old fashion we had was awful. Nothing was good expect the food. We ordered three apps and all of them came out at a different time. One didn’t even make it the table before the check did. Go somewhere else it’s not even worth the time or the money.

Atmosphere upstairs was cool, but very sparse. Ordered a pretzel appetizer.. Was okay, lukewarm. Ordered a charred romaine salad, very tasty. Now… The brisket platter was stone cold. No baked potato available. Asked for warmer brisket, came back a few minutes later lukewarm and extremely tough. Complained to waitress. She said the owner was at the table behind us she’d talk to him. He walked away to the only other table with people. Waitress brought us a huge helping of the same meat, we turned it down. She did comp the brisket meal, which we barely touched. Was so irritated the owner didn’t come and apologize or anything. They have a sign outside hiring for all positions. I wouldn’t want to work for an owner who didn’t care either. Will Not be returning.

Waited 45 minutes to get a salmon burger with sweet potato fries & their brisket sandwich with mac & cheese. The burger was average, the sweet potato fries were excellent. If this brisket is cooked for 14 hours, they are wasting everyone’s time. The server was rude when we expressed dissatisfaction with the 45 minute wait. Passing through town but will not be back nor recommend this place.

Wow, I watched the owner of this bar belittle and berate his bartender in front of a semi-​crowded restaurant for having her phone near her. (Her service was completely fine by the way.) When the owner noticed my friend and his fiancé speaking about it, he came up to us, raising his voice saying, «Do you have something you want to say to me?» We told him that he’s built a very negative reputation around Youngstown for treating his customers and staff like garbage, and he started making excuses for it! After we complained to him, the guy takes the bartender to the back room, berates her again, and leaves her in tears because he was embarrassed! Now don’t get me wrong, the food was OK, but I felt disgusting paying for my meal. Literally go anywhere else in Youngstown besides this dump. When cooks, bartenders, servers and customers keep complaining about the same problems without changes, and the guy still hasn’t managed his temper, you know it’s only a matter of time till this joint closes.

Two times in a row with a bad dinner. I should have learned the first time to not go back. There are much better places in the area to eat.

2^nd time here in 2 years. Brisket sandwich is a pile of grease, fiancé’s dinner came out cold and pulled pork was a pile of fat. Will not be back.

Went there for lunch today and waited over 30 minutes for a somewhat rude waitress. Then waited 40 min for mediocre food. The BBQ pork sandwich and chili I had were just so so. My wife had the brisket sandwich and potato soup and she said it was so so. My daughter has been there and like it but I won’t go back, just not worth it in my mind.

This place is probably a 3.5−4 star place but I’m loathed to give it 4 based on only 1 quick meal… ribs were tender and well cooked… very tasty with plenty of meat… the sauce varieties on the table are interesting… we choose the Carolina sweet… fries a bit pedestrian but passable… beans excellent as was the cornbread… last but not least… the bullit old fashioned was excellent… if we’re ever back this way I would eat here again.

Always looking for a new place to try so when I saw a voucher from valley deals 365 I got it. We went today and I was very pleased. Sat at the bar and all staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was awesome. Gorgeous Bar and décor. We had the smoked wings as an appetizer… really good, and brisket sandwich and pulled pork sandwich were delicious. Really nice variety of BBQ sauces as well. Will definitely be back.

Amazing food! Great beer selection and very unique liquor selection. Owner and staff are very nice and they take the time to know you. This is a must for BBQ. The owner is an architect so the design is very cool and very urban. They have a rooftop bar that is amazing. Highly recommended, I haven’t been this pleased with a restaurant in a long time!

We had a great time here last night. Our food was great, service was good (even though very busy). Sat on the patio where the band Jeff Bremmer and Friends were playing jazz. The music was top notch!!! We will definitely be back.

Really nice place, great beer selection and we had good service. Food was plentiful and a good value. Enjoyed the sauces, especially the North Carolina. Cool vibe inside and up on the patio. We will be back.

I ordered the chipotle BBQ chicken flatbread and was expecting just a little sandwich. What I got was so much better. 6 pieces of flatbread topped with an amazingly spicy BBQ sauce, onions and chicken. I couldn’t eat the whole thing, had to box 2 of the pieces up. They were amazing. My brother and mother split the campfire combo, which had sausage, ribs and pulled pork as the main course and French fries and jalapeño biscuits as sides. He said that the ribs were cooked very well and the pulled pork was great. Waitress was friendly. Prompt service on drink refills. Will return.

First off the restaurant itself is beautiful. I love how it’s decorated. It’s very welcoming and comfortable. It’s simple but interesting. Walking in I was surprised and impressed. My friend and I sat at the bar for lunch. Our bartender was very friendly and attentive to us and our needs. She helped me pick out a draft beer, from their impressive list, that I would like, and she was spot on. As an app we got the hush puppies which were yummy. You get a pretty big portion and they come w a raspberry butter to dip them in that really complements them. We both ordered the Carolina eye opener burger (I think that’s what it was called, it’s the one with the egg) the burger was great. Very tasty. The only complaint i have is we ordered them medium and they both came out a perfect well. For me it’s not a big enough deal to send it back or make a fuss. So we ate them and even tho they were cooked more than i’d like they were still really good. The cooks just need practice maybe. And honestly I think maybe it’s hard to tell a burger temp because later that evening I went to steamers with my family and my brother ordered a burger medium that also came out well. Maybe I’ll just start ordering them rare and hope for mid rare or medium. But all in all my first visit to fire grill was wonderful. My friend loved it too and said he couldn’t wait to take his girlfriend there. I would definitely recommend this place.

I am very impressed with the atmosphere and what updates they have done to the building. I used to go here before Fire grill opened. Nice job. We were seated right away. Good draft beer selection. For dinner, I tried the beef brisket sandwich. It was very good. All their BBQ sauces are made in the store. All tasty! I would go again!

They can never seat you but there are always open tables! Both times we’ve been there they basically force us to sit at the bar to eat. The only other choice is wait for hours for a table that is sitting empty already… I could see that happening once because your short of help, but it s all the time. Food not that good either. Don’t waist your time!

I was a big fan of this place. Went for lunch and it was not very busy at all. We had great service and a great meal. They have a very nice beer selection with plenty of choices.
It seems like some people on here didn’t like the ribs so you might avoid those, but the pulled pork sandwich and smoked wings were very good. I’ll be heading back soon.

Had the Brisket Melt. Nothing vegan on that sandwich. Brisket, deep fried bacon, and homemade pepper cheese. Yum doesn’t even come close!
Wife had Pulled Pork and Sweet Potato Fries. They were very good also!
Service was pleasant, just a bit slow. Great spot for a meat sandwich!

My family has been talking about how delicious this place is so I had to try it when visiting.
Unfortunately, no one was at the front seating people & we had to go to the bar to seat us. When the bartender seated us she didn’t give us menus & just left. I had to ask Laura the waitress to get us menus. She was extremely sweet & apologetic. This is why I gave it 3 instead of four stars.
The owners did a wonderful job renovating the space. They made it extremely modern with a pop culture feel. Love all the pictures on the wall.
We decided to order the pigs in the blanket appetizer (deep fried bacon strips) that was sinfully good & even better with their sweet BBQ sauce.
After the appetizer, I ordered the The Fire Grill House of Greens Salad with beef brisket. It was one of the best salads I’ve ever eaten. Sweet & juicy brisket.
My mom & fiancé both ordered the beef brisket sandwich one with delicious French fries & one with the vinegar cole slaw. We loved the brisket.
My cousin ordered the Mac n cheese & cup of chili. She gets it every time. They even put brisket in the chili. Very good!
The food is great. Hopefully, it was a fluke no one was at the front. I highly recommend the food even for take-​out.
