Other TOGO’S we’ve visited would normally get four or five stars. But this place is unorganized. Not very friendly. They seem to lack emotion and just seem cold there personality is like a dried booger. Never again will we step in this door

The employees clearly have never been trained how to wrap a sandwich in paper. There is more salt and pepper on my sandwich then lettuce. Terrible. To clarify, there was hardly any lettuce on the sandwich.

Today my mom and I went in to the Togos in Gilroy, and we were so impressed with the service that we felt the need to mention it here. Francis immediately welcomed us with a warm smile and appeared truly happy to take our order. Her sweet and positive attitude made us feel like she was a family member lovingly making us our sandwiches. When I mentioned I wanted to order a large to take half to work tomorrow, she took special care to take half of my sandwich and wrap it up in a bag so that I could save it for tomorrow, and served the other half on a tray, without me even asking. We were so impressed with her genuine kindness, especially during this hectic holiday season when service employees have to work extra hard.

This place sucks! 1st time I was here was terrible. Gave it a 2nd chance today & nothing has changed. Seems that the owner is too cheap to hire people. He works alone for the Togo’s & Baskin Robbins sides. For a $ 5 Sunday he only puts about a teaspoon of hot fudge. I’m sure it’ll close his whole business down if he puts even a drop more. Yeah, I’m done supporting that. 1st St Baskin Robbins for us & because the 1st St Togo’s manager is also a cheapskate, we’ll support the Monterey St Togo’s.

I’ve been to this particular location on several occasions. Today, I went there and wanted to order two sandwiches on a gluten free wrap. There were two servers and no customers when I walked in. For starters, the server who initially greeted me(not really) hardly looked at me. I asked if they do sandwiches as wraps(as advertised on their billboard) and both servers said yes. I asked if Spinach was the only kind and one server, I think, was trying to tell me no and as she reached down the other(middle aged Hispanic lady not wearing a name tag) said something in Spanish. The other server immediately stopped and said nothing. I realized at that moment I was being profiled. I then suggested that maybe they had gluten free and the younger gal replied, «yes». The middle aged server immediately got a look on her face which told me one thing«I don’t even want to help you». I decided to see this through and get what I ordered. At one point the owner actually came out and after that Ms Attitude dropped the act and began conversing in English with me. I paid for my order and left. I got home to eat my sandwich and discovered all the of the items I didn’t want on the sandwich were there. Luckily I have no food allergies or this entire episode could have been much worse. My suggestion would be to have a serious talk with your entire staff about customer service, especially this woman. I like Togo’s, but if I have a serious yen and I’m near Morgan Hill that is where I will be going. I know not all the servers are like this and many are pleased to help. This one woman ruined my experience.

I normally love Togos. The experience I just had at this particular location makes me question that. The service here is absolutely abysmal. The woman making my sandwich acted as though she wanted to do anything else but help me. I had to repeat myself several times. Ordered a pastrami with cheese only to find out I got charged extra for cheese. That’s never happened before. Got charged $ 15 for a sandwich and drink. It wasn’t even busy, but you wouldn’t know that by how the wait staff was running around like they had no idea what to do. I’d get a sandwich from the gas station before I come back to this horrible shop.

I had no plans on writing a review of this Togos in Gilroy. I was driving from the San Jose area to Los Angeles and stopped at this Togos restaurant and about 1 p.m. today, September 12th, when it was busy during the lunch rush and was about a 15 minute wait. One man was not wearing the standard Togos uniform was running the register. He may have been the store owner or manager. I observed that while operating the register he had one food preparation glove on one hand and holding an additional glove in the same hand. After running the register, he then calls me over as the next customer. As I walked over to the counter he kept the same glove on and put the other glove on his other hand. I politely request that he changes his gloves after he uses the register. He then states that he did not handle the register with the gloves. I again requested that he changes gloves. I then see him changes gloves on one hand and not on the other. A bit frustrated and ultimately hungry, I just ordered my food, paid and took it to go. I am not sure why an owner /manager of a Togos would give excuses when a customer requests that gloves be changes after cash handling. I would believe that the Santa Clara County Health Department requires hand washing after using the cash register prior to preparing food.

Ordered a 16. The sandwich maker couldn’t follow directions though she seems to speak English fine. Is it that difficult to remember to only put tomatoes and lettuce on my sandwich? Didn’t heat up my sandwich. Asked her to and got an attitude. At Subway they always ask me if I want my sandwich toasted. Their bread is also super fresh since they make it on site. Never coming back here. It’s doubtful I’ll go to another Togo’s either, except possibly for a #9.

Not the BEST customer service but they make good sandwiches and don’t mess up the order.

So a sandwich is a sandwich. Can’t go too wrong with that. Mine was just what I expected, so here’s the 2 star. Like others said the guest service is non existent, I’m not expecting Disney but the team morale is non existent here, no energy or positive personalities. The Unilocal site posts a check in offer for a free beverage but the team had never seen this, one did say«we stopped that a long time ago». No problem, if they stop, either take the offer off Unilocal or train the team properly, and train the team how to respond properly. This location is in serious need of a corporate QA(quality assurance). This location is extremely dirty, menu display broken, ice machine air filter never cleaned, windows are a disaster. I could go on but it was as bad as I explain and more issues. You may ask, «why did you eat here then?» Well, back to my initial statement, a sandwich is a sandwich. However, I will not be revisiting this location.

After yesterdays tuna sandwich I just had to have my beloved pastrami. I think Togo’s makes the best pastrami sandwich around. So I popped in after filling up the car at the Costco gas station. There was no line and two people were being served when I walked in. I was there two or three minutes before they took my order. The pastrami was cooked to order and she put it in the microwave before starting my sandwich. It took a few minutes for the meat to heat. The sandwich was awesome as usual. I love the pastrami at Togo’s. Though, at just over 8 dollars and way too many calories, I can’t justify having my beloved number 9 more than once a month or so. This location tucks the wrapping paper in under the wrap which keeps it from opening. This is the only location I have ever seen that done. Definitely a nice touch.

I came here on an afternoon for lunch with my boyfriend, and the customer service was horrible! The sandwiches were okay, but the girl Kelsi who rang up my order was extremely rude. She rudely asked my boyfriend if that was all, I handed her my card and she THREW the receipts and my card at me, and said, «Just sign one of them.» I had told her it was unnecessary to throw it at me. She continued to give me and my boyfriend dirty looks while we were there. I do not suggest this location to anyone.

I went in last night and was helped by Roksana. I am very particular about how my sandwich is made, she was helpful, friendly, and patient. She was nice and smiled the whole time. Her customer service was so good that I gave this place 5 stars. Some of the reviews said that they were let down by the service. All I can say to this is, try to get a young lady named Roksana. It had been about two years since I had been at this place but it did not let me down. AMAZING service and DELICIOUS food. I will definitely come back and recommend this place to others. I hope the manager reads these! Thank You Roksana, you’re the best!

Horrible customer service! Two girls were gossiping and got my sandwich order wrong. This was after waiting a few minutes before even being acknowledged that we were there. Bad service and short attention span makes this Togos the worst in Gilroy.

Came here on the way back from L.A. and I was starving. Overall, it’s pretty much like any other Togo’s in existence. The dude at the counter was really nice and actually seemed to put in a little extra. Overall, I’ve always liked Togo’s more than Subway and this location is no different. Love the number 8 and it really did help me on the last trek of my journey home. Great sandwiches!

Wish I could take stars away from this place! Awful customer service, we both had to tell the sandwich maker what we wanted 3 times and she still got it wrong! My hubby ordered a regular #9, their most popular sandwich. The idiot behind the counter destroyed the bread while cutting it, and told the manager we got a large #9. When we shared that we told her 3 time he wanted a regular, the manager said he will only charge for regular. At that point the sandwich maker cut 3 inches off of his sandwich. Really??? Who does that???

I am a huge Togo’s fan and this location has the best service of any Togo’s I’ve been to. The food is always exactly as expected so I have no comment on the food. I have asked them to have sandwiches ready even before the officially open for the day and have always got a yes from them. With the food being similar or better then the other Togo’s locations and the service far better then any other Togo’s I high recommend this place!

I’m not quite sure this location even deserves a star at all. Last night was the first time my boyfriend or I have been to this togo’s and after our experience it will be our last! There was only 1 other customer in there when we walked in… We were not greeted, took forever to get our sandwiches made and rang up, we were not asked if we’d like to add anything else to our subs… And the customer service was terrible! All 3 – 4 of the gals working there seemed miserable, 1 in particular! We were very polite the whole time, even tried making small talk but it was not reciprocated. Upon cleaning our table and leaving there was no «thank you» or «good-bye». The sandwiches we OK quality but the customer service was so bad I left there feeling more like a nuisance than a valued customer and for that I will not give my business nor will I recommend this location to anyone I know

I work in the same complex as togos and I always give it a chance but am always disappointed. You walk in and there is no Greet what so ever not even a smile. It’s funny that they have a tip jar out at all when they give next to no service. The sandwich was ok I ordered a Reuben but she didn’t ask If I might want the extra produce. I was so peeved by this I am writing this after I got my sandwich. This really is the last time I’m going to this place.

Togo’s is my favorite chain sandwich store. Hands down. However, the sandwiches we got here were 2 thumbs way down. On our drive to Mercy Hot Springs, we picked up some hot pastrami sandwiches from this Togo’s. I’ve never had a worse Togo’s hot pastrami sandwich. It was too greasy(there’s a difference between satisfying greasy and disgusting greasy; this was an example of the latter).
