Excellent! We had the crab Rangoon with crunchy cashews in a yummy sweet sauce. The crispy spring rolls were so veggie fresh & dipping sauce was delicious. Finally we had the tom kah soup with chicken, mushrooms & things I’m not sure what they were. The broth was tangy, spicy & totally fulfilling. The staff was friendly & the restaurant was clean. What more could you want! Thanks for a great overall experience!

Love this place. Consistent. Delicious. My go to for soup and curry. Rivals the best Thai restaurants I’ve been to up and down the Bay Area.

Just popped in for Take-out. Staff was super friendly and helpful, particularly the young lady. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. I ordered the Pad Thai, a bit under-seasoned(my mistake, I’ll ask for it to be a little spicy next time) but a huge portion. Yay!!! I have leftovers for dinner.

I’ve been to Thailand and the food here is on point. The service is even better, I wish I had gotten his name but the young man that took care of us was very attentive and he even gave me a free milk tea refill. Great experience, I wish this place was in Miami.

Went to Gilroy Gardens and decided to stop by. Beware the place is super small with limited seating, definitely not a place for big parties(6 or more ppl). We got there around 7 pm and no place to sit so my husband, my three kids and I sat outside. Our food arrived pretty quickly considering the number of people there. However when I ordered my phở, there were no sprouts, basil, lime and spice seasonings given so had to go ask for it. Also didn’t get any napkins. We ordered a strawberry smoothie and it didn’t arrive until the very end about 5 – 10 min before we were leaving, had to ask for a to go cup for it. I got the phở and my husband got the drunken noodle. Drunken noodle was pretty good but phở was only mediocre, a little disappointing, especially for $ 8.50. Thought the restaurant would’ve been a lot better considering the number of stars given.

Just tried out this place today and I believe I have found a new favorite… mango rice! Don’t ask me how this is made but it’s pure heaven! It tastes like a dessert! I also had crying tiger and is does not disappoint! I wish they had less expensive lunch specials like some of the other Vietnamese places in town. I would not hesitate to come back. I would be interested in trying some of their other dishes– although jotting can top that mango rice…

Really enjoyed this place and the prices were great. My sister and I ordered our favorites — what we judge a restaurant on. Pad Thai and also a curry. Both were excellent. I wish this place were closer to where we live. But I hope to visit every single time I come back to my hometown of San Martin! Delicious! Don’t let the strip mall location fool you — STOP and enjoy!

If I had a choice I wouldn’t have even rated this place 1 star! So disappointed! Before today we enjoyed coming here for their won ton soup, but after the service tonight, it really doesn’t seem worth it! We placed a phone order to a much unhelpful employee, and when my husband went to pick it up, he claimed that there was no order placed!(I even asked him to repeat my order!) They made a mistake(fine, it happens) but he continued to give my husband an attitude when we were willing to just reorder! I’m sure some of the other employees overheard and no one bothered to step in! It’s too bad that this place doesn’t understand customer service 101, the many good reviews this place has got, will be overshadowed by the 1 bad experience! Well, I have to say Saigon Bistro has redeemed themselves… I wanted to see how the service would be before I changed my rating(after the owners quick response to my 1st review). I’ve been there 2x and each time the gal in front displayed great customer service!

We were looking for a quick stop on our way home, but and thought it was right off the freeway, but it was deeper into town than we thought. The menu had a bit of a selection. I went with the phở, and it was ok, not great, but ok. First off, the waiter had forgotten to bring me my bean sprouts and fresh basil to add to my phở, so by the time I ate half way through it, we finally had to ask him to remind him. My husband had the bbq chicken, and my son had fried rice. They both said it was ok, not the best vietnamese food we’ve had. I’m not sure if this is a place we’ll be back to.

This place is a decent place to eat. Food was ok but was lacking a bit. The waiter was over worked and forgot part of my wife’s meal. Food didn’t come out together so either it got cold or you ate alone. Being from LA I’m a little spoiled with my Vietnamese food but over all worth the stop.

I love this place! I have to start off with the bad: Their banh mi sandwiches are way too pricey and nowhere near as good as I get in Campbell at lunch time and the thai iced tea is just«ok», but other than that I have been loving everything I have tried! Food: I recommend these dishes: Crying Tiger(TOPMENTION) Spicy fried rice with chicken(or pork). If you get the combination version it is not as amazing for some reason(TOPMENTION) Drunken noodle with chicken Larb(chicken) All of the Currys(any meat) Phở(chicken)(ask for extra veggies) Fresh Spring rolls Tom Kah Tom Yum I am still working my way through the menu, but I am sure there are more yummy dishes to come my way! Ambience: Very small and cozy Cleanliness: Always nice and clean Customer Service: Always, always, always super nice, helpful, smiley and friendly! Recommendations: If you want take out, order ahead as in my experience, the usual wait time is 15 – 20 minutes which is totally acceptable. One more thing… I have always thought I was a bad a$$ because I love spicy food and I always order«Thai Spicy, not American Spicy» at Thai restaurants so I can get it so it is actually«on the hot side» to me… I learned my lesson here. I asked for Thai Spicy Spicy Fried Rice and it was so hot I could barely even eat 3 bites. Each bite was more painful than the last, so I wound up saving it and making a stir fry with it to expand it and to level out the heat and it was fabulous! I just thought I would warn anyone else out there that likes it hot like myself or wants a good base to use for a stir fry! :)

I haven’t been to Gilroy enough to really know the area outside of the Gilroy outlets and the main street in downtown, but I’m glad that the bf and I stopped here for lunch on our way home from Monterey Bay! My bf wanted to eat something a little lighter and he mentioned phở; a search on Unilocal came up with Saigon-2-Siam, which was highly-rated, so we ended up here. It’s in a plaza, so parking is pretty ample. We walked in and we were seated immediately. There’s space inside for maybe 20 – 30; it’s not super big. The fact that they have both Vietnamese and Thai food is a big plus; I went with something off of the Thai menu and my bf got phở like he wanted. The service was great and the food came out quickly. I tried my bf’s soup and it was nice and flavorful. We had ordered spring rolls with char siu(BBQ prok) and roti with curry for appetizers, so naturally I didn’t finish my pad thai. The order was HUGE though! I hardly made a dent in it that afternoon. I had enough left to eat 3 more meals… and it was only $ 10!

I was actually planning on going to a different Thai place in Gilroy, but that place happened to be closed so I came here instead… and I’m SO glad I did! Their menu varies from rolls, to phở, to curries, to noodle dishes, to fried rice, to rice dishes… they literally have everything. Even tacos! I got the pineapple curry, with the«spicy» spice level. I asked our server if «spicy» was really that spicy, and he told me that he usually goes with the one higher than that, the«Thai spicy.» That sounded way too intimidating, but I wish I had gotten that instead. The spicy pineapple curry wasn’t very spicy at all, because the curry has milk and pineapple. However, it was deliciously sweet and savory, and it came with chicken, shrimp, and chunks of pineapple. I wanted to try something new and this definitely did not disappoint! My boyfriend got the Thai basil pork with Jasmine rice plate. I took a bite of his and WOW it was so flavorful! He got the mild spice level, but it did not lack in flavor, just spice. I think the sauce is basil and soy sauce based, and it was absolutely delicious. We actually preferred each other’s entrees and ended up sharing everything LOL. Our server was also super attentive and friendly, and I was impressed that he was able to attend to every party there, even though he was the only one working the floor. I’m not in Gilroy often, but this place is absolutely worth the trip!

The food is really good here, but I’m not aure if its on or 2 of the male staff members that thinks they are a know it all when it comes to the food here. My husband and i always order food from here whether dining in or for take out and he always gets cheese on his bahn mi sanwhiches and lately every time we ask for cheese on his sanwhich the gentlman(aka smartass) who takes our order always says, right off the bat that they don’t have cheese. That they’ve never had cheese there. Like he knows everything. And then proceeds to be a smart ass with us about. It was never a problem before but now its becoming one. He needs to slow his role there. If he doesn’t know then he needs to ask before assuming anything. It’s becoming a nuisance. Asking for cheese on someones sandwhich shouldn’t be a big deal whatsoever. Next time i see this server and he tries to give us a hard time about some damn cheese then im going to give a hard time too. :-) We are good tippers and this guy doesnt really deserve a tip. :-)

Before this place, I had not fared well with Pan Asian restaurants in strip malls. But wow! This place is really great. The spicy phở with rare beef steak was probably my favorite. Regular phở is too bland for me, but the broth here is fantastic — almost a less sweet and oily panang-like flavor with its peanut, chile, coconut oil base. But the banh mi with grilled pork was excellent too, and should be a welcome surprise for those who have been getting theirs from chain stores for too long. Green curry, roti, and lumpia appetizers were also solid. But the big surprise here was the pineapple fried rice with shrimp, which we ordered for the kids. I couldn’t keep my hands off it. This version is curried with roasted cashews and softened raisins, and finished with some nice aromatics — onion and cilantro. Best version of pineapple fried rice I think I’ve ever tasted. All this is a no muss, no fuss casual atmosphere with some friendly guys taking orders and serving the food. Thanks for the tip Unilocalers! This place was worth the adventure.

To start the staff was very good. My wife and I had 3 items of Thai. The coconut milk soup, lettuce wrap, and stir fried vegetables with glassy noodles. All were excellent. Very tasty sauces, and very fresh. Reasonable prices. Good music playing. Definitely one of our favorites in town.

I wanted to love this place, as I am desperate to find good, non-chain restaurants in town. Based on reviews we thought this would be a good find, but I leave highly disappointed. I thought people coming in was a good sign, but I see that the lack of choices in Gilroy skews the point of views of reviewers. The food was average quality, the quality in ingredients is lacking. I had a chunk of a bark-like something appear twice, a big one in the Tom Yum soup and another in the Pad Thai… The plates and cups were not clean. I am glad we tried, but doubt we will come back…

When you show up to pick up your Thai take out order & see a bottle of Worcestershire sauce in the kitchen & Americans behind the counter, you know it is a bad sign(though the cooks looked SE Asian). We had the phad Thai & fried rice. Not much flavor & what flavor there was, just wasn’t right. For the record, I am American & my husband is SE Asian, so I am used to amazing Asian food from my mother in law & friends. If you are a fan of Panda Express please disregard my review. Oh– the portion size was very generous. There is one good thing I can say about it.

I went to this establishment with my husband and our couple friends. I knew they had phở but I had been wanting to try Thai food. It was between phở and Thai and I chose pad Thai chicken. They served us water in plastic cups that looked really old and used like someone had chewed up the rims of them. The music was loud and the décor was really strange it looked really messy and unorganized. Our food all came out at different times. The pad Thai was okay, I wouldn’t get it again. I don’t know a thing about pad Thai. That dish was too sweet for me, it didn’t have enough peanuts on it either. It was too much of the same flavor for me. If it had more produce and more nuts it would’ve curved the overpowering sweetness of the food. I am not a fan. My husband got some sort of beef salad and rice dish. He said it tasted more American than he expected. I regretted ordering the pad Thai and wished I would’ve gone with phở instead. I hear their phở is the best in town. I’m not so sure that I would return. Probably not. Our server was kind.

We had the spicy Phở soup as well as the regular Phone soup. Fresh spring rolls and Roti wi the curry sauce. All 5 star food. Note that the Spicy Phở soup has a strong flavor to peanut which is great for peanut lovers but not so much for others! Ryan is super nice and provides 5 start service. We will definitely be back.

You would never think a strip mall eatery would have food this food but these guys were awesome. I had the rare steak Phở. It was seasoned well but it could have used a bit more steak. My bf had the chicken pad Thai and it was amazing. He ate a bunch and we. still had leftovers. Our entire meal was under $ 20 and we got a discount for paying cash. Hands down the best Vietnamese food we’ve ever had.

I just happened to be in Gilroy when my family and I agreed on going to Saigon –2– Siam Bistro for lunch. The restaurant is conveniently located near my sister’s house so we didn’t need to go very far for some Vietnamese AND Thai food. I came in pretty much with a made craving for some noodles. And so to satisfy that craving, I decided on ordering a whole order of Pad See Ew for myself. Pad See Ew with Chicken – Flat rice noodles with chicken, egg, broccoli, and sliced carrots. I picked chicken, but you can put any meat you want in this like beef and/or shrimp. This definitely hit the spot for me. The noodles were a little overdone though since a lot of them were broken, but it was still good enough for me and they served a good sized portion with a good amount of chicken, carrots, and broccoli. I was pretty satisfied after finishing that plate. To pair with the noodles, I ordered their Raging Tiger. A mix of Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee which is pretty similar to the Shut Eyes Wide served from Little Green Cyclo and T.epiphany. This sucker was both strong and sweet, but that was to be expected. It was very good and it definitely woke me up after the long drive to Gilroy from the peninsula. I wouldn’t mind coming back to Saigon –2– Siam. Service was good and I was happy with their Pad See Ew. I definitely have a lot more things to try from their Thai and Vietnamese menus and they seem to be doing well with all the positive reviews so far.

Very tasty. And the cheap prices make the food even tastier. The waiter is SUPER nice. After we tried to order 2 appetizers(roti and eggrolls), the waiter recommended their sampler instead(3 app combo, not on the menu) for a cheaper price. Later on he gave us a free thai iced tea just because. That guy knows how to take care of his customers. :) The roti with curry was my favorite app, followed by a tie between the eggrolls and the crab rangoons. Just depends on your taste. The rangoons are too deep-fried for me. The vermicelli bowl with grilled pork is what you wanna get! Simple bowl of noodles but the pork is cooked well and the serving was enormous. They are very generous with their noodles. My kind of restaurant. Will definitely stop by here for lunch next time I shop at Gilroy!

I was looking for places to eat in Gilroy as I was going up to the outlets. I saw that they had 4 ½ stars on Unilocal and thought we would give place a shot. I am glad we did ! This is a Vietnamese and Thai restaurant. They have traditional Phở and also a Thai fusion Phở that they add coconut milk and spice to. They have your traditional crispy and fresh spring rolls. They have some of the biggest fresh spring rolls I hand ever had ! Your you get 3 combo(shrimp&pork) rolls for $ 6.50. That is a bit pricier than most, but their size and flavor pays dividends. They add cucumber to the fresh spring rolls, which is a nice variation to traditional rolls. I would have liked to see some basil and mint added. Their menu is well developed. They have rice and noodle dishes, Bahn Mi, curry dishes, Thai bbq, and Thai soups. They also have iced flavored drinks to if that’s your thing. They also have an Asian taco that is off the hook ! I had the grilled pork taco and it was delicious. Lots of vegetables and filings. A must try !! I had the Saigon phở that has the most meat. The broth was very good, the best Phở broth I’ve had in Gilroy or Morgan Hill. The price was not horrible at $ 8. Overall the flavor was great. The restaurant is what I think you would call Asian contemporary. It is a nice looking small restaurant. They do have a few outside tables for you to eat on those nice days in sunny Gilroy. If you are a local or a visitor passing through, stop on by and get your noodoo on !!!

For being in Gilroy this place is a gem. Really good Thai food without having to drive 25+ miles. The service is very friendly however the place is small. Papaya salad(mild), pad Thai with chicken and green curry(mild) with beef was delicious! Could have gone spicier on the salad, but still very yummy. I recommend this place for those locals who haven’t tried it.
